There's lots to enjoy at this condo, and the view is only the beginning. Central air conditioning will help keep everyone comfortable inside when you're recovering from visiting the beach. Each bedroom features its own flatscreen TV, so everyone can wind down their own way. The full kitchen features granite countertops and full-size appliances, including a dishwasher for convenient clean-up. Yes, that is a private washer/dryer available for your use. Guests can enjoy access to several shared amenities during their stay at Sea Colony. There's so much to enjoy!

Beautiful Ocean Sounds

We had a great time staying here. It’s quick access to the beach and great restaurants. The beds were comfortable and we left the windows open all night enjoying the sounds of the waves.

Convenient and close!

Great unit! Comfortable beds, great view, easy access to the beach. Parking spot and beach locker were close and super-convenient. It was great to have use of the beach chairs and umbrella.

Great location and view, could have been a little cleaner

Sea Colony is a great place to stay and this condo didn't disappoint either with the oceanfront view and amenities. We love the choice of so many pools, tennis and basketball courts. The private beach is great and we love how close of a walk it is to Bethany's downtown and the boardwalk.

Great view

The pictures are true to reality, but the apartment has plenty of room and was great for our family with two young children. You couldn't get closer to the beach or have more conveniences-- Sea Colony was great!

Timing of stay.

The condominium was nice unfortunately the weather was bad. My only complaint was the noise of maintenance, the hammering above me. I know they were to work down below but the noise was my only complaint.

Good service in a bad situation

Unfortunately, we discovered a bed bug within minutes of entering the property. We called management and began cleaning or bagging anything that had touched carpet or bedding. A maintenance person arrived promptly and submitted a report. We received a very polite call from management saying they would give us a full refund. Maintenance kindly referred us to a hotel he trusted for cleanliness and gave us more plastic bags. We lost several hours and ended up staying 25 minutes away but we were grateful for the quick response and resolving the issue without arguing.

Quick Beach Getaway

The condo was very nice, but the view and the sound of of the ocean was spectacular. The check-in process could have been better. We were initially told that check-in time was after 4PM, so we planned our arrival accordingly. While in transit, I got a text saying that the condo was now available at about 2 PM. I also got a door code, which was incomplete. I called the property management company and they did get the code for me after a long hold. I then discovered that the packet containing our parking pass was not in the condo but had to be picked up at the property management company which was close, but not on site (also closed for the day). Apparently, the information about after-hours check-in was communicated via email. Since I was traveling, I wasn't looking at email. A consistent means of communication (either text or email) would be better.

an excellent Sea Colony oceanfront property

We have stayed at Sea Colony three times now, and this has been our favorite property. Here are some of the standout highlights: * The designated parking space is about 20 feet from the entrance/elevator! This sure beats walking a couple hundred yards like at some other properties. * Everything "works". The outlets, lights, wifi, appliances, etc. * The carpeting is comfy and not gross. At other properties, dated carpet is dingy. Not here. * There is SO much bedding. The sofa in the living room pulls out, and both twins beds in the second room have pull-outs underneath them. * There are televisions in each room and in the main living room. * The balcony has actually comfortable chairs with cushions instead of cheap plastic flimsy chairs. * Did I mention the super-close parking spot??? * The kitchen is well appointed with all the tools you need. There's even a snow cone maker, though we didn't use it. Highly recommended! If possible, I think we will stay here every year going forward.

great view of the ocean, but very basic condo unit

This was our very first vacation as a family. I tried hard to select a unit that was accessible to the beach, and had a beach view. The room did not disappoint in this area. However, the unit itself is very dated. The toaster barely toasted and is almost black inside (due to the amount of use). the coffee maker had water stains inside it even after I tried to clean it. The iron was worthless and when I tried to "steam" gritty, white stuff appeared on my clothes. Thankfully, the dryer and washer seemed more updated and the dewrinkle option did work since the iron didn't. There was no iron board in the unit either. All of the tv remotes had dead batteries in them- only one worked. So we had to buy fresh ones to even get tv to turn on and work. Couldn't figure out how to use the tv in the twin bedroom. The master bed was comfy. The downfall there is the sunrise woke us up each morning as there was no drapes or blackout shades, just the flimsy slit shades that let light in. The carpet was ok. The stove had a note to open the front door and turn fan on if you tried to cook anything that would produce smoke (so we just avoided it) as the smoke detector would come on and only way to disarm it was to call maintenance. Overall, selecting this unit based only off of photos and other reviews I think I did ok. My kids were happy and the unit itself was fine, just very dated. Not worth the price I paid. The balcony was my favorite part of the entire condo- the view every morning was great. the short 3 min walk to the beach even better.

Needs Updating But Would Consider Staying Again

This condo was clean, had a great view and was very spacious. Loved having a washer and dryer. The decor and furnishings felt dated and thrown together. Wouldn't take much to spruce it up a little. The notebook with information about the condo was very out of date with inaccurate information. Again, another easy fix if someone would just take a little time to do it. Communication from Vacasa was good. The amenities fees felt like an additional money grab. Parking is tight under the building. Spaces are very close together. Location is great! Walking distance to many restaurants and mini golf. Liked the resort atmosphere.

Great Location

Nice condo unit with a really great location. The unit is a bit dated but comfortable. Unfortunately, we spent the weekend inside because we were there during a Nor'easter. The views of the ocean were magnificent and we had a great time in spite of the weather. We would definitely return again.

Our stay at Chesapeake house was great. The view of the ocean was everything we had hoped and expected. My only wish for this rental would have been to be able to enter the unit before 4:00PM. This is a late check-in and doesn’t let you fully enjoy the property, especially when you might only have the weekend to stay. For the 4 hour drive it took us to reach Delaware, a 1:00/2:00 check-in would have been greatly appreciated. Other than that, we really enjoyed our weekend.

Wonderful Stay

First, we had a wonderful stay. This was my first time renting through Vacasa, and in my estimation, they are efficient, organized, responsive and helpful. I will definitely rent through them again. Sea Colony Chesapeake 706, has gorgeous views and is in a great location. It was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The furnishings and flooring could be updated to make this an even more pleasant unit. Overall, a great 4 days however.
