Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 11)

We built our beautiful home in McCall because we fell in love with this small resort town with its majestic mountains, tumbling white water, and glassy pools on the Payette River. We can enjoy fishing, skiing, biking, hiking, and many more outdoor sport opportunities. Since we’re not able to enjoy our cabin throughout the year as much as we’d like, we’ve made it available for you to rent. We’d like to share some of our special times, so you can make your own memories when you rent Camas Pines.

Our comfortably furnished cabin has an open floor plan and a wonderful wood burning fireplace which we have enjoyed with family and friends. Early in the morning or late in the evening, it is truly glorious to sit on the deck watching the sun rise or set, anticipating seeing the deer wandering through the trees. Our resident foxes sneak up onto the deck looking for any scraps of food that may have been leftover from the barbecue.

We love to take a short walk to the clubhouse to enjoy its amenities. On summer afternoons we can play in the pool with our family or engage in a more strenuous game of tennis. After a busy day, we relax our tired muscles in the hot tub or sauna, or chill out and spend a cozy outdoor evening around the fire pit, gazing at the hypnotic flicker of its flames.

In winter and early spring, Ponderosa State Park is a favorite place to snowshoe and cross country ski. In summer, we enjoy the hiking and bike trails, guided walks with park naturalists and the evening campfire program. We’ve delighted in the magic of powder days at nearby Brundage Mountain, or gone snowmobiling or ice skating. Younger kids LOVE riding giant inner tubes down the designated “tubing” hill.

No matter what the weather or time of year, our stays in McCall are always relaxing and enjoyable. We relish the long beautiful days of summer, and its fabulous starry nights. It is truly glorious to watch the stunning and ever changing color of autumn leaves. Even when just poking around the little shops in town, eating at the wonderful local restaurants, or hanging out at the cabin, we know you will fall in love with this special place.

PS: Please don’t feed the bear.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the place. It was amazing. We had so much todo that we didn't even make it to the club house.

Great experience in s very nice cabin. Linens and dishes were much better than mist rentals.

  • 5 of 5

Very relaxing and close enough to bike to town or ponderosa park. The pool and tennis courts were great and really wore out the kids on a hot summer day.

Beautiful, clean, and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and cozy. It was close, but not too close to town, near the golf course, and nestled into the pine trees. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the board games and the warmth of the fire. The large deck offered a great place to drink our morning coffee and BBQ for dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Medical conference/Family winter get away

  • 5 of 5

I had a medical conference and took the opportunity to take my family to play in the snow between conference meetings. This home was very clean and comfortable, well stocked with towels, bedding, kitchen was fairly large with plenty of supplies: pots, pans, dishes etc. All the cabinets and lights were labeled for ease of finding what your looking for. Nice furnishings, Laundry room was large with folding table extra couch. The oversize 2 car garage was a bonus to park cars out of the way. The little christmas touches were very welcomed made it feel like you were home. There seemed to be plenty of hot water for showers and laundry with 7 adults and 3 children. We had our 2 sons with their families and our daughter Total 10 people there was ample space to be all together or easily slip away for quiet time alone. We were greeted by 5 deer upon arrival and a fox that ran down the road. The deer were at the front of the property every day, On the day we arrived they walked within 5 feet of us as we watched them and threw them some apple slices. The gas grill worked very well for grilling steaks. The property is located across the street from the golf course and we had simple easy access to snowshoeing with are whole family without having to load everything into 2 vehicles and driving to Ponderosa Park even though it was also very close within about one mile drive. We will use this home again in the future if we vacation in McCall maybe plan for the same conference next year.

Beautiful location!!!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful private location. This property was stocked well. View wildlife from the beautiful deck. I am a light sleeper and heater was louder in master bedroom at night than I am use to. Wonderful property, would recommend and stay again.

Owner's Response: Thanks Kerri. We certainly appreciate that you took time out from your busy life to review our property. Thank you for your thoughts and kind words. We've taken to heart what you mentioned with respect to the heating and are having it looked at for a possible resolution. At the very least, we'll clean the ducts out.
