Home away from home

We had a wonderful stay in a very warm and comfortable home. The community is great for walking. The home is well stocked and the layout is great for privacy. The space above the garage worked perfectly for a home office as well. The owners and host are accommodating and friendly, as well as all of the gate attendants. We have fond memories of our extended stay here. Our home away from home, while we finished construction a new home nearby. Best vrbo we've stayed in.

A Splendid Choice!

This was our second stay at this home. The first visit was excellent. This visit was better! My grandchildren and adult children enjoyed the recently added hot tub and a converted living space that now has a regulation length pool table and mounted television. Located in a private area with a security gate maintained by unfailingly friendly security guards, the home is just about half way between Highlands and Cashiers. Many homes list a concierge when in reality the "concierge" is really nothing more than another online contact. This concierge provided timely and up-to-date information prior to the visit, met us at the home with fresh flowers and wine and patiently walked through the details of the home. Who does that? My wife and I really enjoyed the private apartment above the garage, especially when we needed quiet time from our adult children and our grandchildren! We certainly plan to return to this splendid choice when visiting the Highlands area.

Outstanding !!

We have been spending a week in the summer and a week after Christmas in Highlands since 1999. This is the absolute best property we have rented! Outstanding communications with the concierge who met us at the home with an impressive spread of goodies and walked us through the "ins and outs" of the rental. Who does that? Located in a gated Country Club, the home is located off the Cashiers Road a few miles from Highlands and a little further from Cashiers. Three separate sitting areas each with huge TVs eliminated the often heard complaint from family members of "he/she/they is/are hogging the TV". The separate guest house with kitchen area and nice bath area allowed my wife and I the privacy craved by senior citizens. The large kitchen impressively equipped made putting together meals much less of a chore and the family dining table was big enough for most of our family to gather for meals. Great fireplace with wood provided, walking areas within the country club and a very nice deck (although it rained most of our stay) and nice views across the lake into the mountains are just a few of the other memorable aspects of our stay.

Fabulous rental house in a sought after neighborhood

My family and I enjoyed the most perfect vacation in this lovely home. The house was very clean, well maintained and had everything you need. And the location was just perfect. Right in between Highlands and Cashiers… the best of both worlds! We will definitely be back!

Great property in Highlands!

Our family recently spent a week here and loved it. The house is spacious and well appointed with a beautiful view across a lake/pond to the golf course. We had a newborn in our party and the separate quarters were a bonus. Lastly, communication with the property manager (Janet) was awesome. Highly recommend!

Excellent!!!

This well-maintained home was perfect for us. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had a fully equipped kitchen. We spent time relaxing by the cozy fireplace and enjoying the gorgeous views from the enclosed porch and back deck. We even saw deer stroll by on the golf course. Janet, the concierge, was wonderful to work with from the moment we sent our initial inquiry until our departure. We would highly recommend staying in this home.

Amazing!

We had such an amazing Thanksgiving week here! The house is so beautiful and the kitchen very well stocked. Janet was so helpful for check in and anything else we needed. This is going to be our go to home when we go to Highlands. Highly recommend!

Family Vacation. Parents, kids and grandchild.

This property is the best rental we have had on VRBO. The house is wonderful. Beautifully decorated but very comfortable like Home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything for cooking and baking. Could not have been more complete. The paddle boat and fishing poles for use in the lake were a real plus for late afternoons off the deck. The location between Cashiers and Highlands gave ease for shopping and dinner choices in both areas. The house has a beautiful view of the lake and the golf course. The deck with Big Green Egg and a gas grill gave us a fun dinner on the deck. There is a wonderful screened porch with a TV that gives access to the deck and the beautiful views. The bedroom and kitchenette up over the garage was a bonus for added privacy and work space. We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home.
