Cette maison fermée d'environ 5600 pieds carrés possède tout le confort dont vous pourriez avoir besoin, d'une cuisine gastronomique à une piscine / sauna / spa, beaucoup d'intimité, des arbres fruitiers tropicaux, Internet et plus encore. Trois suites spacieuses avec leur propre terrasse privée offrent une télévision à écran plat et une salle de bain complète. Les jardins tropicaux entourent la maison de senteurs luxuriantes de l'île. We absolutely loved this place! We could not have picked a more perfect spot. The house is huge. It is upscale but warm and cozy. And the views are absolutely stunning. We found ourselves looking for excuses to cancel our vacation activities so we could spend more time at the house. Highly recommended.

Located in a super quiet area. Lots of room and amenities. The property caretaker,Gary, was super responsive with any questions. The house is away from the super busy tourist areas. We had a terrific stay!

Wonderful location

The home was perfect. It is on the West side of the Island away from the hustle and bustle and allowed is to relax and enjoy ourselves. The views of the ocean and sunset were spectacular. The amenities of the home were everything we could have thought of

We enjoyed the weather on this part of the island, much drier and warmer. The home is spacious. Outdoor space is lovely, it would have been nice to have some heat in the pool.

Amazing, again!

We have stayed at this beautiful home several times over the years, and this most recent stay was as fantastic as the previous trips. The home is beautiful and spacious, and is right on the ocean. The large yard, pool, hot tub, patio, and putting green are always favorites with our family. The location on the dry side of the island is wonderful -- remote enough to be private and quiet, with easy access to Waimea Canyon, Polihale, Poipu, and with just a bit longer drive all parts of the island. Communications with Michelle the owner are always great, and the caretaker is super friendly and responsive to anything we needed. We will be back!!

50th Anniversary

My wife and I celebrated our 50th Anniversary in this lovely home on a gorgeous piece of property. The house is stunning, but takes a back seat to the picturesque setting! Indeed, it was difficult to decide between relaxing inside or out. Michelle has thought of everything to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. And I feel I must compliment the caretaker, Gary for his pleasant nature and willingness to help in any way, all while remaining invisible unless called upon. Big thanks to Michelle and Gary for helping us enjoy a memorable 50th!

Family vacation

This was our second stay at the property which we love for the location and privacy. You can see whales from the back patio overlooking the pool, or from the new elevated fire pit and the sound of the ocean is mesmerizing. The home has recently undergone renovations which included new sliding doors and kitchen windows; there was new decor throughout as well as updated fixtures in the bathrooms and new furniture in the den. The AC is working great in the master bedroom area (and all through the home) and we had instant hot water in the master bathroom! The landscaping had been trimmed well back which afforded open views of the ocean. It was hard to leave!

Truly paradise in all respects

My two grown sons and I enjoyed another amazing week in paradise at this property. Three suites are perfect for three individuals or couples. The house is immaculate and an architectural masterpiece, well appointed to every detail. The grounds are extremely well-kept with sitting areas, a gorgeous pool and spa, amazing palm trees, that become incredible silhouettes at sunset, and right on the beach. The ability to watch the sunset from an almost private beach could be our favorite part. Or perhaps it’s floating on the pool at sunset that is our favorite? Hard to say. We love this end of the island with quaint towns, with all we need nearby, including our all-time favorite pizza at Da Pizza Place. Proximity to Waimea Canyon is excellent. You can’t beat this amazing home for the price. Highly recommend!

Best place ever

These pictures do not do this house justice. Beautiful!!! I love that it is all on one floor. From the minute you walk over the pond thru that incredible front door I felt transformed to old hawaii. So many special touches, belongings and views. Every room has a view and every bedroom has a lanai. The master suite along with a a very large bedroom, has a changing room with huge closets, it’s own study, and it’s own office. Michelle did some renovating…great job making new blend with the old Hawaiian vibe going on. Wonderfully appointed kitchen. The outside is incredible( I am running out of adjectives). The pool huge, the hot tub actually hot and the view…WOW. We saw so many whales and dolphins, it was a show everyday . Did I mention the incredible sunrises and sunsets? You get both here. Gary, the caretaker, was a great asset to this property. He was there to answer and resolve any questions that we had. He went above and beyond making our stay special. We love this area of the island…away from the hustle and bustle. We will be back but, one week may not be enough.

What a place

How much did we enjoy our stay here? On our last morning, we checked to see when the house is available next year. This spacious home was the base of operations for us and one other couple during a week-long exploration of our favorite part of Kauai. The area is far less touristy and more Hawaiian than Poipu, but close enough to make it an easy drive (while keeping in mind Kauai’s often-awful traffic). We found the kitchen well-equipped, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms excellent. We absolutely loved the hot tub and pool, and the adjacent beach is great for walking. And watching the stars at night while the surf crashed a few yards away...bliss. Gary, the caretaker, lives in an adjacent building. We saw him only once or twice during our stay, usually when pulling out of the driveway. But any time we texted him with a question, he responded immediately. Couldn’t ask for more. Every bedroom has a TV set, as does the living room, but only the master bedroom’s TV is “smart,” so if you’re addicted to Netflix or other streaming services, bring along an Amazon Firestick or the like. The only improvement we would recommend is some additional interior lighting. One of the bedrooms contains one table lamp only, and the huge living room could use better and brighter lighting, too. Be sure to explore Hanapepe! The “Tell Story” bookstore is fantastic, and lunch or dinner at Grandma’s Japanese is incredible. From its location to its amenities, this house is a gem. We’ll be back.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay. Gary, the caretaker, was very responsive to whatever we needed throughout our stay. The property will be going through some much needed renovations in the next few months. Overall this was one of the nicest vacations and places that we have stayed on the islands. Just far enough away from the resort hustle and bustle. Thank you Gary and Michelle!

Amazing experience!

The perfect quiet getaway location with lots of privacy and every amenity you could ask for! Ages 15-82 gave it a 10/10! Homeowner was quick to respond and Gary was amazing with his island insight and fresh fruit deliveries:) If it wasn’t such a long trip for us to get there we would go back every year! Loved every minute!

Paradise

We have rented several vacation homes over the years - and this was, by far, the most beautiful outdoor setting we have experienced. The sound of the ocean just in front of the pool was so relaxing. We felt like we had the island to ourselves. The yard and flowers were beautiful. While the great room/living room was awesome - we spent very little time indoors - just enjoyed the property. Gary was super helpful and nice, and delivered fresh fruits from the property - which was so thoughtful. We hope to be back!

Loved the Waimea area.....and the privacy.....and the three bedrooms all with ocean views. The house was complete in meeting our needs. BUT...I think the monopolist VRBO organization is ripping us all off.

Elegance in Kekaha

We loved this property! As stated by others, it does need some updates, but, given the 2 year hiatus with COVID, we understand the difficulty of getting it all done. Much has been done, but a few minor tweaks will help. The furnishings are elegant, the beds comfortable, there’s a large sub zero refrigerator and freezer, gorgeous tile work in the bathrooms. The downsize is that one has to go a distance for dining. As things open up, hopefully, that will change. Gary was so friendly and accommodating! We all agreed it was one of our favorite VRBOs ever.

Stunning home for a perfect stay

Michelle's home is over-the-top gorgeous and well-appointed. We had more than everything we needed, from linens to kitchen tools to the super handy, on-site caretaker, Gary, who was very responsive. The home is thoughtfully decorated, and you have everything you need here. From a beautiful pool and hot tub, sauna, mini-golf, stately dining room, enclosed BBQ area, fire pit, shower by the pool to rinse off sand, to immediate beach access for stunning sunsets and walks on the beach. While Kekaha is near the western end of the island, the town of Waimea has several eateries (Da Pizza Place and Island Taco were favorites) and it's a lovely drive to other parts of the island. But with a home like this, paradise is yours already. We'll definitely return. There is no other home like it. We felt like royalty.

Family celebration

The beauty of the property & home is hard to describe. The on-line pictures really cannot do either the property & residence full justice. You have a 180 degree ocean view, you do not see any other adjacent properties, it is totally quiet and private. The home is luxurous with beautiful furniture & original art throughout. We had a great time in the pool - with lots of pool toys for all ages. The original architects and interior designers did not overlook any detail. Built in the 80s, it is showing its age (as would be expected) - but in many ways the age just adds character. Gary the caretaker was great - very responsive but you would not even know he lived in caretaker home on the property. Michelle was equally responsive to our inquires -- thank you both. I gave the cleanliness a 4 rating only because some of the nooks and crannies needed to have a deeper cleaning -- with 14 month grandchild we were constantly looking low to the ground. I would note that the ocean directly in front is not a good swimming beach - at least in the winter. It is sandy so great for walking and playing at the water's edge -- which was perfect for us with a toddler. We would love nothing more than to return to this home again. Beautiful location and property. House could use some updates/TLC like new exterior doors and windows. On property amenities cover EVERYTHING you could want! On-site caretaker is priceless!! He’s very responsive and accommodating!

Simply amazing!

This house is in a beautiful, private location: away from the busy parts of Kauai. We stayed 16 nights and it wasn’t enough! We loved being able to rinse off in the outdoor shower after hiking or spending the day at the beach and then getting in the pool and hot tub. I personally did not use the sauna, but some of the family did and they enjoyed that too! We had a seal sunning himself on the beach in front of the house and we saw whales everyday from the patio. Both the sunrises and sunsets are amazing from the backyard. We hope we can visit Kauai again and stay in this awesome house!
