Why The Owner chose Yosemite Area

Close to Yosemite National Park and many other attractions.

What makes this cabin unique

Close to everything in Yosemite

Guestbook comments from the manager

Cooked, walked, relaxed, played board games and brought in the New Year.

We love the place but could have used a rolling pin, but I suppose not many people make

their own pizza in a cabing. PS: There is now a rolling pin for pizza.

We had wood burning fires every day to enjoy.

Staying at this log cabin is highly recommended.

Beautiful, immaculate property with lots of space and homestyle touches

This home is as beautiful as the pictures are ! And lovely and quiet, too. The beds and couches are very comfortable and we had a wonderful time. I also really appreciated that they did things like label the light switches and leave things like dish soap and condiments so we didn't have to stock up on those. My daughter also loved playing with their collie. We loved the outdoor eating areas and cooked most of our meals in the wonderful kitchen after a long day exploring Yosemite. We really enjoyed our time here and you will too!

We were a group of 4 women celebrating our 60th year of meeting in high school who have been in touch all these years, through marriages, divorces, children, careers, and more. We had an amazing time at Yosemite, in Mariposa, and Oakhurst. Bob and Eleanor were absolutely the best host and hostess. It is about an hour from Yosemite but well worth the drive. The cabin was clean, well equipped, quiet and lovely. Would return in a minute!! Thanks sooooo much!

Really an outstanding place

  • 5 of 5

I stayed three nights at the home with my wife and three adult members of her family. Our purpose for the trip was to spend two days in Yosemite.

We found the home with little problem and were very impressed by the size, furnishing, and cleanliness of the property. My wife and I stayed in the master bedroom which was large and comfortable (great, large bathroom). Two shared the room with the bunk beds and one took the futon. Everyone reported comfortable beds.

The location of the home is over an hour from the Yosemite Valley (inside the park), but anything much closer was largely limited to hotel rooms and exorbitantly expensive. It was a pain to drive to and from the park both days, but not unexpected.

It's unlikely that we will return to the area anytime soon. We have visited Yosemite many times and each visit gets more and more crowded. As we left the park on Saturday afternoon, we saw about two miles of cars crawling slowing up the mountain into entry gate.

We would definitely recommend Bob's house if you are doing a similar trip or visiting elsewhere in the area. The kitchen is well equipped (even has spices) and it is in a pretty and fairly private location.
