Why The Owner chose Mariposa

Close to Yosemite National Park and many other attractions.

What makes this cabin unique

Close to everything in Yosemite

Guestbook comments from the manager

Cooked, walked, relaxed, played board games and brought in the New Year.

We love the place but could have used a rolling pin, but I suppose not many people make

their own pizza in a cabing. PS: There is now a rolling pin for pizza.

We had wood burning fires every day to enjoy.

Staying at this log cabin is highly recommended.

Log Cabin Comfort

  • 5 of 5

We were really impressed with the Log Cabin we stayed in as our "Base Camp" during a recent trip to Yosemite. Beautiful decor and comfortable beds with a lovely open kitchen and living area. It's only an hour from Yosemite Arch entrance and less than that to the west entrance at Hwy. 41. We would definitely recommend it for your Yosemite vacation lodging.

Impeccable and Private

  • 5 of 5

The request was a private, quiet cabin near Yosemite to celebrate my birthday. Bob's property checked all the boxes and more. A beautifully built and appointed cabin on the property away from the main house had all we wanted and more. Plenty of open and private space, a great kitchen and comfy master bath. Everyone in our party was comfortable, and relaxed. A short drive to Yosemite and other natural attractions allowed us to spend our days exploring the beautiful Sierra's. The birthday girl left very happy that all her requests were met. Only tip is that we did not have cellular service near the cabin (although there is a land line for local use), so communicate with the Todd's (owners) prior to arrival.

One of my favorites!!!

  • 5 of 5

Bobs cabin had such a great feel. The open concept for the kitchen and living room was great. Everything was very clean and didn’t lack in anything that our home would have. We loved being outside on the swing with the fire pit going playing horse shoes. The cabin is about a 10 mile drive into town for groceries, shopping and dining and about an hour to Yosemite. We will definitely be back. Thank Bob and Elinore for building this cabin for people to enjoy.

Awesome cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Bob and Eleanor's cabin. It is rustic, yet first class accommodations in every way. Bob literally "left the lights on for us" for our late arrival. I loved that he communicated with us by phone instead of email. A very personal touch. We even got a chance to meet him (nice guy!) and his dogs Lucky and Amber (the new puppy). The cabin is an hour to Yosemite entrance and a beautiful drive. We wished we could have stayed longer and would stay here again in a heartbeat! Wonderful stay! The only thing we would change if staying again is traveling there by Highway 49 between Mariposa and Murphys. We came down this route in the dark and didn't realize until the drive back in the daylight how treacherous the narrow roads and sudden drop offs were. The GPS took us this way, and although it may be actually closer, I'm pretty sure it was longer as I drove only about 15 miles an hour at times. VERY SCAREY!
