Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted to say how much fun we had in CDA this week. Your place was perfect for our family. We walked everywhere and the kids scootered! We loved McEuen Park and spent a lot of time there.

Thanks again,

Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

This house is in the perfect location for anyone with a young family. It is right across the street from McEuen Park which has an amazing splash park, basketball court, tennis court and enclosed dog park. The home is a few minutes walk from Tubbs Hill and the beach. Inside the house is clean and well stocked. We had four adults and two children (7 & 3) and never felt cramped. Great place!

Awesome in every way!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I lived in the bungalow for seven months and we hated leaving. The owners, Don and Michele, were friendly, helpful, always quick if we needed something. The location is perfect--easy walking to everything fun in the CdA village. We traveled for one year, 41 countries, and landed in the bungalow at the end of the trip, and it was the icing on the cake for the year. Just the best. Safe and friendly area. And if you're 65 years old like us, it's convenient and easy to all activities, including golf, hiking, Tubbs Hill (right out the kitchen window!), the lake, etc, etc.

Our new summer "home away from home" in Coeur d'Alene!

  • 5 of 5

I've had a hard time sitting down to write this review because, as I shared with Michele (the lovely owner of this quaint cottage), I really want tell everyone how much we didn't like living here for three incredible weeks this past summer. If I could convince you to believe me, then our new "home away from home" would always be vacant and we could always have our pick of all days and weeks in the future. We love Coeur d'Alene with all our hearts and vacation here with our teenage children every summer. This was the first year we were able to stay beyond our standard two weeks and decided to opt for a VRBO vs. our usual favorite local motel. The decision was brilliant and our choice of THIS perfect home was...well, just perfect. If location is everything, then this home is everything with immediate access to Tubbs Hill, Centennial Trail, the new C d'A park and library (literally) right across the street, shopping and downtown restaurants, farmer's market, dock, beach, etc. We walk and ride our bikes everywhere so parking in the back and having a porch to keep our gear safe was wonderful. The home itself is darling--much more roomy and spacious than we imagined (even sharing a bathroom with two teenage girls!) and the master bed is unbelievably comfortable! We loved walking in and having a personal welcome message waiting for us in the kitchen, we appreciated doing our own laundry and enjoyed sipping wine on the front porch in the evenings. Everything about this home (and it is a well-loved HOME, not just another "rental property") is special and we can't wait to come back home next summer for an even longer stay. Oh, wait...did I mention how much we didn't like this property? We seriously doubt you'll enjoy anything about it. ;)

Lovely home and great location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for the better part of a week in this lovely, very clean home with two bedrooms and nice kitchen with W/D and all appliances. Luxurious towels in the single bath. Location is less than a 5 minute walk from the main city park with tennis, picnic facilities, water play area for kids, extensive playground, miles of hiking trails on Tubb's Hill, and the marina. Easy walk to downtown shops and many restaurants and taverns. Despite proximity to all these amenities, the actual street and neighborhood is VERY quiet and restful. The owners have done a fine job making this a very comfortable and relaxing location. Owners easy to reach with any questions. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a week with wife and three kids. Walked to park, shopping, groceries, all right at our finger tips. House is simple and not large, but we never felt cramped even when the wildfire smoke kept us indoors a few days. We will DEFINITELY stay here again if it is available when we go back to CDA.
