Nestled between the beach towns of Beulah (~4 miles away) and Frankfort (~12 miles away), this family cottage sits on 105 feet of Crystal Lake perfection. As one of the largest inland lakes in Michigan, Crystal Lake is special with its clear, sandy bottom and limited boat traffic. Swimming is divine, especially for those new swimmers who will be amazed at the long shallow entry to this majestic lake. It is a short drive to the renowned lighthouses at Pt. Betsie and Frankfort, with Lake Michigan beach excursions waiting nearby at Platte River Point or Empire Beach. The Sleeping Bear Dunes are also just to the north, offering plentiful opportunities to make memories in nature on land and or in the water. With extensive hiking trails, local brewpubs, world class golf (Arcadia Dunes, among others), fishing (charters galore), skiing (Crystal Mountain) and a short drive to wine country and the bustle of Traverse City, Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor, and Leland, this location offers access to the finest of Northern Michigan.

The Lodge at Crystal Lake offers three bedrooms (Queen & Twin, 2 Twins, and Queen & Twin) and two full baths and is decorated thoughtfully with nods to many local artists. The kitchen is well-appointed to truly make this a home away from home. And, the open floor plan offers a large living and dining area, with generous views of the lake, opening to a newly installed wooden deck and slate patio, and your own private piece of Crystal Lake.

The outdoor space offers much to enjoy, from sunrise to sunset. Lounge in the adirondacks over a cup of morning coffee, take paddleboards out to explore the lake, host a lakeside dinner with the outdoor dining set, send the kids to the sandbox or driveway basketball hoop, try some gourmet s’more recipes at an evening campfire, and watch the stars shine or a storm roll through lakeside or right out the front windows. And, of course, swim for hours in the crystal clear water and shallow sandy bottoms that stretch hundreds of feet before dropping off into some of the deepest inland waters in the state.

Bedding and towels are supplied, and there is an onsite washer and dryer. (Bring your own beach towels.) There is wireless internet throughout with tvs in both the living room and master bedroom.

This is the perfect rental for families or those looking for a peaceful getaway. We dearly love our neighbors who are summer residents, so please no party bookings. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT TRAVELERS WITH MORE THAN EIGHT GUESTS AT ANY POINT DURING THEIR STAY, WITHOUT EXPRESSED APPROVAL BY OWNERS.
