Deer Valley Ski-in/Ski-out Luxe, Empire Pass

Located by the Silver Strike Express Lift in the exquisite Deer Valley Ski Resort, this exclusive third floor condo offers a rustic yet elegant mountain experience. It is decorated in a handsome lodge style with massive ceiling beams throughout and hardwood floors. You will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Wasatch mountain range from every room in the condo and the large balcony. And the ski-in/ski-out access means that each family member can walk out of the building right onto the groomed Silver Buck Run (Silver Strike Express Lift), and ski right back in for lunch or after a great day skiing. Choosing a condo with this ski-in/ski-out flexibility allows every family member to ski as much or as little as they'd like each day.

The Village at Empire Pass is nestled in the slopes at Deer Valley in the forested mid-mountain area, yet it is only a 10-minute drive to the restaurants and shops of Park City and Deer Valley's Silver Lake Village. There is a complimentary door-to-door shuttle service that provides guests with transportation around the area.

At the end of a day of skiing, the building's outdoor Hot Tub is a great way to unwind. Alternatively, you can relax in the condo's great room with friends and family, enjoying the gas stone fireplace while you watch a favorite movie (60" flat panel TV screen) or practice your skills on one of the many board games provided. Also, a loft for extra hangout space.

The bedrooms provide versatility with king, queen, and bunk bed set-ups. The kitchen and baths all feature custom wooden cabinetry, slab granite counter tops, natural stone floors, and in the master bathroom, a jetted tub. The appliances include a Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer and Wolf range, and an in-unit washer/dryer. Children are more than welcome! Sorry, no smoking and no pets.

Shooting Star has heated underground parking, a full ski equipment room with your own private locker, and an outdoor hot tub. Only one car per rental group.

A key reason to consider Deer Valley as your ski destination is that no snowboarders are allowed on the mountains in the Deer Valley Resort. Not that we hold anything against boarders, but if you're looking for a gentler ski experience, it's a factor to consider. Of course, boarders can always drive to the Park City slopes close by.

Another important factor to consider is the ease in which the Deer Valley visitor can get from the airport to the slopes. Arriving in Salt Lake City mid to late morning, you can realistically catch the slopes for the afternoon runs. The drive is typically less than 45 minutes door to door.

Wonderful spot for skiing

This is a fantastic place to stay with a family or two. Incredibly convenient access to the lift and the building has nice amenities, including the ski lockers with boot heaters. As for the unit itself, it was wonderfully well-stocked with whatever you might need for your cooking needs, as well as for linens, towels, and blankets, more so than any other place we’ve stayed. It was very clean and everyone was appropriately attentive and responsive to our inquiries and needs. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect ski in ski out location

This condo was fantastic. Very roomy three bedroom plus loft. You can’t beat the location and convenience. Everything was first class from the ski lockers with boot heaters to the roomy kitchen and beautiful Mountain views. The full size washer and dryer came in handy and the complimentary shuttle service was a nice touch. Perfect choice for a family or group who want all the convenience of a high end ski in ski out deer valley vacation.

Well-maintained, very clean and comfortable property. We stayed for a week and enjoyed excellent skiing at Deer Valley. We enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen and used the washer/dryer a few times. All the comforts of home! Property owner and property manager are very easy to work with. We selected the Empire Pass location for its ski in/out options-Silver Strike lift is very close. Ski lockers have been updated, are very nice and provide easy access to the short run to the lift. So convenient! This is our second time at this property and will definitely rent again.

Exquisite Condo

We absolutely loved the Shooting Star Condo with its perfect location for the ultimate ski-in ski-out vacation. Everything about the condo and resort is first class. We thoroughly enjoyed all the condo had to offer and the World class skiing. The outdoor hot tub was delightful after a long day of skiing and the giant screen tv was the best. Nothing better than coming in for lunch with no crowds and watching a Warren Miller movie to get pumped for moré skiing. I could go on and on but I won’t. We’ve usually rented homes at Deer Valley but we actually loved the location here at Shooting Star. And Nancy was great to work with.

Christmas vacation ski trip

After experiencing flight cancellations, we finally arrived 2 days late for the trip. The owner was very understanding and gracious in the stressful situation. The drive from SLC was very easy and took less than 1 hour. The property manager met us at the condo and showed us how things worked, where to put ski equipment, etc. The condo was beautiful and well kept. It had any amenity that you would expect plus more. The beds were comfortable and the condo was quiet. My family loved the fact that this is a ski in/ski out condo. We had no issues or concerns while we were there. I would highly recommend staying at Shooting Star # 301.

We are from California and we bought this unit as a fun place to gather with our adult children who are all across the country. We wanted a location that was easy to get to (Salt Lake City airport is so convenient), had great skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer, and was big enough for everyone to have their own space. Deer Valley is such a beautifully maintained ski resort, and we love the easy access to Park City with its award-winning restaurants and first-rate galleries. We feel very fortunate to have this beautiful condo in this exquisite location, and it is our goal to maintain the highest standards and to offer our guests exceptional accommodations.

Why they chose this property

Deer Valley is one of the best ski resorts in the US, and we think the location of Shooting Star is the best in Deer Valley. The condo is located mid-mountain (Empire Pass) on the Silver Buck Run (Silver Strike Express Lift), with breathtaking views out over the mountain ranges, but yet it is only 10 minutes to exceptional restaurants and shops. We are only the second owners, and the original owners kept the property in pristine condition. The short 45-minute drive from the airport was an important consideration, as well as the convenience of a true ski-in/ski-out condo. We love skiing at Deer Valley with its beautifully groomed slopes and no snowboarders (although snowboarders can easily go to Park City next door), and we love being able to ski in for lunch or just to warm up with a cup of hot cocoa. To top it off, the summers are almost more fun with fabulous hiking, mountain biking, water sports, Olympic Park, and many other things to do.

What makes this property unique

Shooting Star 301 is on the top floor of our building, with very high ceilings and a big balcony overlooking the mountains and valley. It is one of the few units with a loft, so there is separate space where kids can hang out separate from the parents. The appliances are all high-end, and the original owners added finishes and other touches that offer distinction over other condos.
