Rustic cabin where you can relax and enjoy the woods, Have a camp fire and sing all those campfire songs. This cabin is just for sleeping and a place to stay dry. It has heat that runs on propane grill tanks I supply but am very adamant about turning off heat when not it cabin. It’s a new system installed in 2026 and needs to be monitored. It has an “off grid “ very limited electric (Solar no guarantee of sun) no water. Serious campers only. bring what you need, Think like a tent with beds and a lock, The driveway is 1/4 mile long and may be challenging for a city car. In winter you may need to drive through 6” of snow. I keep it plowed but I travel for business and it snows while I’m away, plus snowplow likes to plug up the drive entrance as he plows the paved road out front. Be prepared to hike if needed. Most of you Michiganders’ understand this without saying. But we do rent to “City Folk” and they expect pavement to the doorway :) New Memory foam mattresses. Camp fire wood supplied and I keep a small amount covered, but the rest may get wet in rain. But I’m sure we can find some that’s dry for you if needed, There is a charcoal grill to use, bring charcoal and lighter Lake access at Host property on Muskegon River. Bring a kayak or fish from dock. Lots of wildlife and nature trails. If planning to ride please stay below 25mph. A beautiful wood cabin in the woods. The quiet was amazing. There was a great fire pit with plenty of dry wood. Host is very nice, even helped us out when we were stuck in the snow.
Our first time winter camping. It was stunning
We had the idea that electricity was available thru solar panels but it never charged or worked the whole time. Told the owner and he didn't do anything about it. Left our shower stuff in his shower and he wouldn't let us get it back from there. Got stuck in the drive the first day when he said it was cleared for ALL vehicles.

Surprise Booking while I was out of town
I imedi sent a co-worker who drove a minivan over to the caBin to sweep off solar colLectors Said drive was fine, Why they got stuck in two inches of snow Im not sure Remember it a rustic place in woods not a motel in town
I offered them refund but they opted to stay and told me the sola was at 11 volts I expeCted it would charge with good weather
Let them in to use shower they left lights and wster on It is a per dsy charge and they only did one day No idea why they left stuff there
The cliant Was picked up by police durring the stay so I lost contact The boyfriend said they were homeless and ask for employment I think they expect a hotel not a camping experiance

When i got to the address it took a while 15 mins to locate the cabin, a local lady helped me find the sun-bleached signs by the entrance, she told me go straight back on the road and there it was. I could tell by looking around it was not clean. I cleaned the outhouse and swept the floor in the cabin. Overall it was quite and comfortable . Needs a table and chairs .Jerry

What makes this property unique
Close to city but rural. Private only one site It’s a camper type experience, if wanting a hotel this will disappoint you. If you’re not into camping, please don’t book. Dogs and other pets are free to wander. But if they get in road, it’s on you. I will not allow any pet that tries to bite anyone
