Private Mountain Rock Cabin with Spectacular Views

Overlooking the breathtaking peaks of the Blue Ridge mountains, the all rock Rock Cottage offers magnificent surroundings. Cottage guests have exclusive access to lodge outdoor space as cottage and lodge are NOT simultaneously rented. Located next to Lantern Lodge, the cottage shares the all-rock backyard patio, backyard fireplace, all-rock pizza oven, firepit, tree swing, and stunning views of the mountains. Cottage guests also may access the rustic porches of the adjacent all-rock Lantern Lodge. The rustic indoor design incorporates a king size bed and two twin bunk beds in the bedroom, a hunter themed bathroom and a charming kitchen complete with a butcher block table. A lovely escape with inviting, peaceful surroundings!

Outdoor cameras are in use for the security of our guests. The gate code will be made available after booking.

Weekend getaway.

The property was everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful views and great location. Close to hiking trails and Blairsville. Only a short but breathtaking ride to Dahlonega and Blue Ridge.

Weekend getaway

The Rock Cabin is a lovely place to stay! It sits on a beautiful property and the views are amazing. The cabin itself is nicely furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. The property manager (Jessica) is responsive and very knowledgeable about the area. It is the perfect place to stay for a getaway to Northern Georgia!

My parents and I absolutely loved our short stay at the Rock Cabin. It was located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. The grounds around the cabin are gorgeous and it has a breathtaking view. We sat on the balcony to watch the sunset and sunrise over the mountains, and marveled at God's creation on full display. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The host also sweetly left us a welcome basket with all of the ingredients to make smores. We are looking forward to staying here again someday!

Perfect & Amazing Cabin!!

The cabin was a perfect little getaway for our anniversary! The cabin had a beautiful view from the balcony. Since we only stayed a few days we appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, the Blairsville itinerary, and all of the amenities. Perfect for feeling like you’re secluded in the mountains with only a 10 minute drive to downtown Blairsville. Would stay again and highly recommend!

Amazing Property Manager

It was a breeze checking in and booking this place. Jessica came and made sure we had everything we needed, gave us a tour of bigger cabin and gave us a plethora of information. She informed us of her cleaning regiment and fun things to do in area. Great hosts and beautiful home would 10/10 recommend

It’s been a year since we celebrated our wedding at The Lantern Lodge and Rock Cottage, and it truly was our dream come true — surrounded by family, breathtaking mountain views, vibrant fall colors, and unforgettable sunsets. For our first anniversary, we returned to The Rock Cottage to relive those precious memories, and it was just as magical as the first time. We fell in love with this place all over again and would stay here every year for our anniversary if we could. Beyond the Lantern Lodge and Rock Cottage is Jessica! She is an absolute joy to work with — kind, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. She truly is a key part of what makes the experience so special.

Very nice view ideal for small family

Gorgeous pathway and fireplace area ideal for 4 people or less and pleasant weather because there’s no sitting area in the inside and the king size bed suffers (springy) however they do have chairs on the balcony facing the view ☺️

Mountain Family Getaway

We stayed at the Mountain Rock Cabin and loved it. Don’t let the cabin size fool you! This place was so nice! It sits on the most beautiful property around. The outdoor amenities are incredible. It’s perfectly located between 2 towns that are very different with each offering amazing character. Additionally, the property manager was extremely helpful and responsive to every communication and request we had. We made some lifelong memories hope to return soon!

Beautiful Rock House

We loved our time at the Rock House. It was cozy and comfortable and the romantic lighting on the property made each evening special. We will certainly go back. We hope to take all our children and grands for a trip to the Lantern House. The view was gorgeous. We didn’t want to leave. Our host was so accommodating and easy to work with. I highly recommend this beautiful place.

anniversary bliss

We booked it to help prepare for a wedding at that same venue in March. Since it was our anniversary anyway we stayed in the cottage; It was quite romantic when it rained on one of the days there; but we kept cozy in the quaint, well-appointed cottage. Jessica, the property manager, is awesome and very flexible with our needs/requests. We look forward to our daughter's wedding there in a few weeks!

Lantern Lodge lover

The property was very unique, safe and clean. It was just as it appeared in the listing. Very easy to get a hold of the management of the property and get feedback with any questions. Most everything we needed had been sent to us via email. Would highly recommend this property and plan on staying here again possibly in the actual main lodge with extended family.

The cutest little cabin “ever”…the Rock Cottage

I just returned home today from staying 5 days in the cutest/coziest/quiet/peaceful/ stay ever. I stayed in the Rock Cottage..(I call it the Little Rock cabin).It was everything I would want and more. Nobody next door (next to me) hollering..screaming..no kids crying..nobody talking into the night thru the walls.NOBODY whatsoever around anywhere. It was perfect for a little getaway..which I do often. Jessica could not have been sweeter/nicer/more efficient/and more “on the spot” to offer anything I needed. Always just a text away and this was before I even arrived..during my stay..and day of departure. She deserves a “10” in my book!! The cabin was the best..I will not stay in a place without a deck/balcony, so I lived every morning with my coffee on the deck and every evening watching the sun go down.what a sight to behold. The ice maker was the absolutely best in the kitchen.Perfect small pebbles of ice always ready for my enjoyment..Never seen this in a condo/hotel/or another cabin. GREAT idea!! Loved the timer lights coming on on the outside of the Lodge. These were beautiful and gave me light without being upon this mountain in the dark. Kitchen was perfect even though I do not cook but frig was fantastic size with great freezer room on bottom…and the coffee POT was the best ever. All in all, the deck was the best with the most beautiful view / sunset in the evenings. Peace surrounded me & I didn’t want to leave when I did☺️

Blairsville Cottage

We loved the quaintness of the cottage! The weather was perfect so we spent quite a bit of time outside on the comfy lawn chairs provided! One thing we would recommend adding to the cottage is a sharp knife! Great fun otherwise!!

The owners have been married since 1989 and have five children. They live a busy life near Atlanta, but love to get away to the mountains for relaxation and renewal. They hope others will find the Lodge to be the place of rest and joy it has become for the owners and their family.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Before the owners purchased this cabin, their family often rented cabins in the north Georgia mountains for three day weekend vacations. Because "roughing it out in tents" was not on the "fun list" for everyone in the family, they decided that cabins would be the next best compromise. One time, in 2006, they happened to rent a cabin in Blairsville, not too far away from the present lodge. The family fell in love with the area, and decided to buy a cabin there to which they could return anytime.

The three main criteria the desired cabin had to have were: privacy, beautiful views, and low maintenance. After combing the area, and with the help of friends, the family finally came upon the present place of the Lodge. Privacy was offered by its border with the National Forest in the back, and plenty of seclusion on every other side. The valley sunset view was arresting. The maintenance simple. Finally a cabin with all three criteria! However, the original building was only a simple, albeit lovely, private, hidden cabin, with a gorgeous view. As the children grew, Cornel & Kristina decided to expand and remodel the cabin. With engineering approval, two new levels were added, two indoor fireplaces, the entire semi-circular back wall which encompasses the kitchen and master bedroom, and the Rock Cottage guest house, also rentable on its own. Because the backyard hill started its incline within a few feet of the original kitchen door, covering the entire present day back yard, the hill was dug out and excavated about 40 feet in, and a retaining wall installed. Afterward, the pizza-oven and fireplace were added. The rock driveways, fire-pit, and waterfall were the final touches. To encourage the youthful adventure of their children, the owners had the tree-house built, memorializing the original intent of the remodeling: a retreat for the family. Through Cornel's relentless hard work and exceptional leadership, the cabin was transformed into the present day Lantern Lodge.
