About this property

Ideal for family of four / idéal pour famille de 4 personnes

The holiday home (a renovated, 100 m² barn) is located in the middle of the Périgord-Limousin nature park (45 km from Périgueux and 55 km from Limoges), in the so-called "Perigord vert" (green because of the many forests) and offers many activities for Families on: visiting farms, walks in the forest or on the meadow, hiking, cycling, swimming in the lake, fishing in the stream, visits to castles ... and above all, you will refrain from everyday (perhaps urban) stress and for forget a few days!

The house is equipped for children (high chair, balance bike, small bike, many games for the yard and the terrace, fenced area).

This accommodation is just right for you and your family (or friends)!

Of course you can also organize a day trip to the south of the department: to Sarlat (65 km) to the Dordogne valley or to Bergerac (70 km) to do a wine tasting in Monbazillac.

You have a bakery in the village where you can buy fresh baguettes (for 80 cents!) or buy crispy country bread. A grocery store with a small post office department is open 6 days a week. Of course you are welcome to shop in La Coquille (8km) in the supermarket, but the market of Thiviers (10km) offers you the most delicious Périgord specialties on Saturdays and enjoys a very good reputation in the region.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Saint Jory de Chalais. L'endroit est calme et idéalement situé en plein bourg avec toutes les commodités à proximité. La maison possède une grande terrasse où nous avons pris tous nos repas. Les propriétaires sont charmants et nous les remercions pour toutes leurs petites attentions (confiture, jus de pomme et le raisin cueilli sur la treille), ils vous donneront aussi tous les sites à ne pas manquer pendant votre séjour. Les propriétaires du café-épicerie vous accueillerons également avec sourire et vous donneront plusieurs bonnes adresses. Au plaisir de se revoir...

Gîte très agréable dans un environnement plaisant

Nous avons passé quatre très belles journée dans ce gîte tout équipé où il ne manque rien! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié tout l'équipement bébé et les nombreux jeux dont a profité notre enfant. Le lit est très confortable, ce qui est important. Nous avons également profité des chaises longues sur la terrasse et de nos voisins les moutons avec beaucoup de plaisir. Le village est agréable, avec sa petite rivière et ses libellules! La proximité de l'épicerie nous a bien dépannés, même si ce n'est pas très économique... Bref, un gite idéal pour une halte reposante!
