Guestbook comments from the owner

Good evening, We stayed in your home over Labor Day and found it to be the perfect place to bring our family back in a couple of weeks. I was hoping you could give me a break down of the cost to see if it fits into our budget. Thank you for allowing us to stay this past weekend and hopefully, it will be a good fit for us in a couple of weeks.

Lots of outdoor space! Fun day trips close by!

  • 5 of 5

We visited for Thanksgiving break and everyone had a great time. It would be fun in the summer too when you could utilize the creek/lake.

Perfect family fun!

  • 5 of 5

This home had everything we needed! Beautifully decorated, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, wonderful outdoor spaces, huge lawn to throw the football and plenty of lake fun! Three families shared a memorable fall break together! The owner was so attentive and accommodating. He even added ESPN so that we could cheer the DAWGS on!

Enjoyable stay with two families

  • 3 of 5

The home is lovely. The location is not actually on the lake but you can get to the lake with the kayak or if you have a boat. This was not clear to me when we booked. The kitchen was lacking in proper cooking utensils, etc. Overall our stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

Owner's Response: Jennifer, we are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay at our home. I am so sorry it was not clear to you that our home is located on a small part of the lake. Most of our guests enjoy the quiet protected area for swimming and kayaking, still with a boat house and a place for a boat for access to the larger part of the lake. I will review our description to make sure that is clear. Also, we have had a very busy summer season, it sounds like we have had some utensils gone missing, so I appreciate the heads up that we need to make sure we have all the proper items for the kitchen. Blessings to you and your family.

Great Weekend

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our visit. Well maintained, with a large common area but very cozy inside. Pretty area with lots of room to be outside.

Amazing Weekend on Lake Burton

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I absolutely loved Lee's place on Lake Burton! Lee responded to all of my questions right away - including adding ESPN so that we could watch the NCAA games over NYE weekend. The property is beautiful with both a fireplace inside and fire pit outside. The main living space is open and the kitchen is amazing! This is a great property for a big group. We loved it! Definitely rent this place if you're looking for a relaxing weekend on a beautiful property! :)

Our stay

The house was decorated very nice, giving one a comfortable feel. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it. We especially liked the open area of the living room and kitchen. You can tell the owners take pride in the house with all the family pictures, wall decorations and the comfy furniture. Our grandkids really enjoyed the bunk beds and enjoyed the checkers and the fools ball. And I have to say we were quite impressed with the design and set up of the kitchen. We really liked the quietness of the location of the house and the view it provided. We would highly recommend this house.
