Our stay was set for Sunday, Jan. 18th - 22nd. We arrived at the home at 6:30pm. I called the host to get instructions on how to open the gate to park my car, he had no idea or forgot he was hosting us. He stated "who is this" I told him who we were and he said "Oh no, the cottage isnt ready." Let me call you right back, he called back and told me he had his cleaning lady coming. I told him I wanted a full refund because I didn't feel comfortable with that. I also asked him if there were more parking spots for our second car and he said yes, which is great news. The home had access to street parking. If the host responds to this review, he will state that I refused to stay due to inadequate parking, and that is simply not true. I refused to stay, because the home was not ready to host us. I have receipts of our conversation stating that he would give me a full refund and he has not. He has refunded a portion, but not in full. Again, I have proof that he agreed to give me a full refund. As far as a review of the home, I can not give a review because I never went inside. This review is based on the host and how he has handled his property not being ready to host and wanting to call out his cleaning lady at 6:30pm. We drove 6 hours and we were ready for a quiet night, not wanting to wait for a home to be cleaned.
