About this property
6 bedroom modern West Vail Home w/2 large decks, 300 yds from Vail free shuttle
Book your next vacation in a modern spacious Vail single-family home w/i 300 yards of the free shuttle to Vail Village. This is a perfect home for families and/or friends to come together, but also enjoy space and privacy with two separate units. Both have separate entrances, but are connected by a short walkway.
Enjoy a full kitchen, living, dining and laundry in both units. The upper unit has 3 bedrooms/3.5 baths and a loft (bunkbed and desk area) and the lower unit 3 bedrooms/2 baths. There is a short outdoor walkway that connects the two units. The home will comfortably sleep 14 people (upper unit - 8 w/ loft and lower unit - 6). Please visit our upper unit listing at VRBO #1503064 to see additional past 5-star reviews or if you only want to only rent the top 3 bedroom + loft unit.
The upper unit boasts a large open floor plan between the kitchen, living and dining room, a fully appointed kitchen and two HUGE decks. One deck is located right off the kitchen to enjoy the morning sun, coffee, grilling and dining and the front deck for relaxing, cocktails and soaking up the afternoon sun after a long day of skiing/hiking/biking/fishing. Downstairs enjoy an open floor plan, updated kitchen/bathrooms and a covered patio with a dining table to enjoy your summer morning coffee, cocktails or dining.
Both kitchens are FULLY stocked with all the necessities to cook up a feast with your family/friends and we have everything you need to create the perfectly decorated Thanksgiving/Christmas table.
We are conveniently located within 300 yards of the free shuttle to Vail Village and 400 yards to the neighborhood park, Stephen's Park so the kiddos can play. Our home is walkable to Stephens park which is a newly renovated playground. Also easily hook up to the vail bike path for a beautiful ride into Vail Village. There is also a great neighborhood hike that starts at the playground. Should you decide to drive, the home is a quick 5-minute drive on the frontage road to Vail Village. If you want to take the free shuttle, the most convenient location to get off the bus and onto the ski mountain is the Cascade stop (only 5 stops away). Once you exit the bus, just walk down a staircase and then right onto the chairlift. We almost always use this lift as we are yet to wait in a long line and there isn’t a long walk. The 2nd closest bus stop to the ski mountain is Lionshead, which will take you into the Lionshead village and the Eagle Bahn Gondola. It is a bit of a walk (but completely manageable) through the village. You also have the option of taking the same bus into the Vail Transportation Center (VTC), which is Vail Village and only about a 15 minute bus ride. The walk to the gondola is similar to that of Lionshead.
UPPER UNIT - BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS Enjoy three full bedroom suites where each room has its own bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have king beds and the third bedroom a queen + a bunk bed. There is also an open loft with a second bunk bed. Assuming two people sleep in each bed (two kings, one queen, and two bunk beds), the house comfortably sleeps 10. We also have additional high quality blow up mattresses upon request.
LOWER UNIT - BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS This unit is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. The master bedroom is a bedroom & bathroom suite with a king bed. The second bedroom is furnished with a king bed and the third bedroom has two bunk beds.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES 6 dedicated off-street parking spaces, 25-foot high vaulted ceiling in the upstairs living room (conveys a unique spacious feeling), powder bathroom, new washer & dryer, 3 tv’s with Xfinity cable service (the living room tv is a 55”), WiFi, games for kids and adults, google mini to play music and outdoor gas grill. In case you can’t fully get away, there are two desks located in the upper unit and two in the lower unit and if you want to get your PELOTON workout in, we've got you covered.
ADDITIONAL REQUESTS Pack-n-Play and high chair available upon request as well as blow up mattresses if needed. If you need anything else, please let us know and we would be happy to make an effort to accommodate you.
Please advise if you are brining a pet(s), as prior approval is necessary. There is an extra $250 pet fee which can be paid separately after you book. There is a nearby dog park in our neighborhood.

We were extremely happy with the accommodations. The walk to bus stop isn’t bad. We really enjoyed our time at the house, very accommodating for our big group of friends!. Plenty of room for big dinners and games at night!
We had a large group of 18 and the place for our needs comfortably. Plenty of bathrooms, living area was spacious, kitchen was well-stocked. The parking was easily accessible for our 4 large SUVs. The upper and lower area are separate enough to feel like you're in your own space but also close enough that it's not a chore to get to the other area.Kelli, the owner, was very hospitable to us. Always asking if we needed anything and provided us with clear instructions on how to get to the property, any accomodations that we needed, just super friendly in general. Would highly recommend this amazing getaway.
The host was superb! She gave very detailed information about the property which I found very helpful. The property was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. She also left us a complementary gift and a card welcoming us to Colorado. When a problem arose I texted her and she immediately responded to resolve the problem. I would stay again.
Great place, versatile space, owner was very responsive. Stayed 4 nights for a family wedding in Vail and couldn’t have had a better situation with lodging. Never realized Vail had such a peaceful location.
What an incredible house me and my family stayed at. It was really roomy and had all the appliances that we needed. It made our stay very pleasant. Communication from our Host was very clear prior to our arrival, so it helped a lot. We'll definitely be back.
Kelli’s property was incredible for our ski weekend with 18 friends! We had plenty of room and parking and the space was perfect! We took the bus to Vail and Beaver Creek without any issues! We grilled out for dinner on the huge deck and everything about our stay was magical!
Beautiful home, well maintained and very spacious. We were a party of 12 and were never on top of each other. Very convenient to bus stop and short drive to Vail Village. Great West Vail neighborhood with plenty of parking. Communication with the owner was great, and she was more than accommodating on things that we asked for. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.
Great space for a large group. Easy access to shuttles into Vail Village and lifts. Upper and lower units do not connect inside. You have to walk outside to get from one to the other. Outdoor decking is very slippery in wet/snowy conditions. Overall, great place. Excellent communication and customer service from owner.
From check-in to check-out, Kelli was a pleasure to work with. Kelli responded timely and went out of her way to accommodate our large group (in Vail for a family wedding). The VRBO (lower and upper unit) was super clean, well-appointed and conveniently located to free Vail shuttle/local park. It had the warm feel of home. The six parking spots, two decks and open kitchen/living room area were a huge plus. Plan to stay here again when in Vail for skiing or summer mountain fun.

To sum things up, the West Vail home exceeded all expectations, everything was absolutely perfect. The home is welcoming, lovely, spacious, well appointed, clean and inviting. We were in Vail for my son’s wedding, a momentous occasion for our family. The home was a perfect place to “recharge our batteries. The manager/owner is one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, all was carefully curated to meet our needs. From the coffee station, to the well appointed bed/bath suites, we felt very cared for at the home. I would highly recommend this location/home to anyone wanting a special time in Vail.
We came to Vail to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday and we stayed in this lovely home. It was beautifully decorated and had an open, airy vibe. We prepared many meals in the spacious kitchen which came fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. The walk-in pantry came in handy and the appliances worked well. Communication with the owner was AMAZING! Kelli made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay and made us feel at home. This listing is for the 3/2 but the entire home is also available to rent if you have a bigger group. The proximity to Vail was a plus as it only took us about 7 minutes to get to Lionshead. We would definitely stay here again!
This was a great property for our group of 17 friends, including several couples, to meet during the summer. The house has two large upper-unit patios, and an additional lower-unit patio. The 17 of us comfortably grilled, ate meals, and sat in chairs together on one of the large upper-unit patios. The house has everything our large group needed including sufficient bathrooms, a multi-device phone charger, and plenty of kitchen and pantry space. You step outside to move from the larger upper-unit to the smaller lower-unit, but that was not any issue for us at all. Next to its big open kitchen, the upper-unit has a spacious living room with adjoining dining area. This was a great place for our group of 17 to play games, or just "hang out" all together, in one combined and open indoor area. We would definitely recommend this house to any big group like ours.
This lovely West Vail home is actually a duplex with an upper and lower unit. It was perfect for the gathering of our 5 grown children and their families for my 70th birthday! Each family was able to have their own bedroom and bathroom. There was plenty of room in the upper unit to gather for meals and activities. There are two decks, each with a gas grill and a table for outdoor eating. There is a kitchen on each level. The upper kitchen is very spacious, equipped with everything you will need to cook for a crowd, and has a walk in pantry. The grandkids loved the trampoline and ninja line in the yard! There is private parking available for 6 cars, (even 7 with some creativity). Gore Creek and a dog park are a short walk away, and grocery stores are just a few minutes by car. A large trash and recycle dumpster is conveniently located next to the parking. We had a wonderful time and hope to return again soon!
Absolutely wonderful stay with an even better host
Overall, we'd probably rate this VRBO experience as the single best we have ever had. The property was 100% accurate from the listing details. The upper unit is GORGEOUS. The lower unit is perfect for families with the bunk room (all the kids loved it). Probably the most important piece, however, is the host: Kelli is fantastic. She was in communication right from the start. She asked questions, had answers, and even decorated her place(s) with Christmas flair that our whole family loved. To top it off, she got some small gifts to place under the Christmas tree for the kids, which really wowed the "believers" of our group.
We can't really say enough good things about our experience. Thank you again Kelli!
Rented the property for a family wedding at nearby Beaver Creek. Our group consisted of 11 adults and two pre teens. Found the location to be consistent with VRBO description and photos. Extremely clean, spacious and sufficiently stocked for all our needs. Upper level with a large kitchen and dining table, additional counter seating, served as our main gathering area. Lower level with a smaller kitchen as well. Home was easily accessible off I-70 with grocery and other shopping needs nearby. Host Kelli was very responsive and accessible via email/text from booking, throughout our stay and afterwards. Plenty of parking spots for our large group. Note that air conditioning is not available (and certainly not advertised), something I took for granted being from the mid-west and missed when reviewing the property. There were, however, many fans available in both units and our stay was not negatively impacted. With family living in the area I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend. Much thanks to Kelli for a great experience.
Great property for a big group. We rented the whole house which is split in two units but easier to walk between the two. The upstairs one has a nice big kitchen for meal prep for a crowd. Well appointed kitchen. Then the lower unit has its own too which worked well for extra fridge space. You do have to take stairs which matches the listing info.
House was perfect size for our large group. The host was very attentive and communicated very well. All our guests commented how comfortable the beds were and enjoyed the 5 bathrooms.
We had a family reunion and truly enjoyed our stay at this home. It was clean, nice, quite, great dog park, close to hiking, biking, white water rafting, and Vail Village. Kelli (the host) was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met. I highly recommend this house and would happily stay here again!
