About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

This unit is perfectly situated within ski boot walking distance to the slopes, one door from the front desk and clubhouse. The condominium offers a free shuttle service in the winter to the slopes and elsewhere and Steamboat Springs, as well as the local bus stop being located across the street from the complex. The on-site concierge can help with activity and dining information.

The complex is conveniently located close to other restaurants and a small market.

This unit backs up to a walk out area close to the grills and pool area. A grassy, maintained area is next to the patio with several aspen trees. Enjoy a game of catch outside!

In the winter, the unit is so close to the mountain, you can ski back to the street and walk across for lunch. The heated one-car garage is a nice treat in the winter when temperatures dip.

The atmosphere of the unit is warm and cozy and has many special touches to make each guest feel as though they were right at home in Steamboat Springs.

For stays over 5 nights, please contact the owner to have the cleaning fee waived as it is automatically included in the 'book it now' feature.

About Pam

I moved to Colorado in 1998 from the East Coast and have enjoyed playing in the mountains. I am very familiar with different outdoor activities, both winter and summer, and can easily suggest many trails or contacts for outdoor adventures. Steamboat has become one of my favorite mountain locations, and I enjoy visiting often. One day, I hope to become a full-time resident of this beautiful place.

Pam purchased this condo in 2004

Why Pam chose Steamboat Springs

Since arriving in Colorado, I have skied many resort locations, but found myself coming back to Steamboat at least annually. As I've spent more time here, I realized that the winter offers some of the best and most abundant powder snow in the state. The town is a 'real' town in a sense that many residents live here throughout the year, people are friendly, and there is a sense of community. In the summer, there are many trails, springs, and two state parks within driving distance that have made Steamboat a summertime favorite. I had stayed at the Phoenix prior to becoming an owner and love the location and amenities.

What makes this condo unique

One of the best features of the condo is its proximity to the mountain. I rarely use the shuttle service and walk across the path to the mountain in the morning. In the afternoon, the slope of the mountain allows you to ski all the way back to Apres Ski Way with a short walk across the street to the complex. This is also a larger 2 bedroom unit being nearly 1,036 sq. ft.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for a beautiful place to stay at the base of the mountain. We had fresh snow - powder days - all weekend. Steamboat never disappoints us. We had a great weekend with our teenage children. Love the closeness to the gondola, shops, and restaurants.

Love Steamboat!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this condo in Steamboat! Great location to the base area and love the amenities in the condo complex. Easy to get around the area. The condo was quite comfortable and would stay here again.

Great condo

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying here. Even before we arrived, Pam, the owner had gone out of her way to help us in many ways.

The pictures of the condo do not do it justice. While not fancy-fancy, it is very comfortable, complete, and safe. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Little touches such as good appliances in the kitchen with plenty of plates and cookware, a nice variety of soaps and conditioners, a great built-in washer/dryer, extra comforters and pillows, and separate towels for the pool/sauna reflected an extra effort to take care of our needs.

Location was exceptional. We did not think about making the short walk to the gondola base over-and-over: whether it was to get our skis stored at Christies Ski Shop (for free) and get on the gondola in the morning, going back to the afternoon apres-ski concert after taking a quick shower, or grabbing some soup later on. Or, if you want to store your skis at the condo, you just cross the street and walk 50 yards and you are on the snow at the base of the mountain.

The staff at The Phoenix are as helpful as Pam. They go out of their way to answer all questions, take suggestions, and help. No matter where we were (at the condo or in town), it never took more than 5 minutes for their free shuttle to arrive to give us a ride. FYI, the free town buses are also wonderful. They run every 10 minutes, are also free, and run right through town and up to Gondola Square.

Very nice place!

  • 4 of 5

My brother, a friend, and I went for a week ski trip. The condo fit all three of us comfortably in our own beds. It's convenient to the hot tub and club house areas. Well equipped with everything we needed. All the directions sent by the owner were spot on. I would gladly recommend to others.

off the charts value for large family!

  • 4 of 5

We are a family of 6, we fit nicely in this condo. This property is walkable to the gondola which is filled with activities for kids and grown ups. The back of the condo is a walkout -it leading to grassy space and the pool w/barbecue grill is just steps away. The kitchen it totally stocked, there is more than enough seating for meals. We had plenty of towels and pool towels and the washer/dryer was great!!!!

The garage is tiny, which was not a big deal during our summer stay, but an SUV would never fit in there. There are carports too that would be helpful in winter. We had a great stay, saw a fox twice in the grassy area at night.

Another Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

This is the 5th or 6th time we have stayed in this unit for an annual event in Steamboat and again this year had a very favorable experience. The baths have been upgraded along with some other nice little touches. As always, the unit was spotless, the kitchen well stocked and the beds comfortable. The direct access to the patio area, pool and hot tubs make it even better. We'll be staying here again next year.
