In case of good snow conditions, the house is accessible on skis. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen - 14min. path.

Schöne, alte Wohnung

Schöne Wohnung mit sonnigem Balkon direkt an der Piste. Bäder, Küche und Interieur hätten eine Auffrischung verdient und viel (sehr viel) Wasser muss verschwendet werden bis Warmwasser läuft.

Lage top, Zustand der Wohnung unbefriedigend

Badezimmer mit massivem Schimmel an mehreren Stellen, Duschvorhang ebenfalls voller Schimmel. Die Küche ist alt und stellenweise klebrig von altem Fett und Staub. Warmwasser kommt nach erst nach 7-10 Minuten. Lage direkt an der Talabfahrt Bett sehr bequem

Les défauts: pas de micro-onde (c'est pourtant très important pour éviter de devoir faire à chaque fois de la cuisine); pas de lave-vaisselle (c'est devenu très rare). Le reste est positif (situation, orientation, aménagement, espace...).

Het uitzicht en het terras zijn de grote troeven van dit appartement. Het appartement is wat verouderd, de keuken en badkamer hebben een update nodig, de uitrusting is eerder basic. Gelukkig hadden wij mooi weer en konden buiten van het grote terras genieten tot 's avonds laat.

Ausgezeichnet!

Well, they made me put a title, and I remembered that from German 101. I think it means Outstanding! Anyway, I chose this flat for its relatively low price and the fact that there appeared from the photos to be a little room to spread out in the living room. And there was - plus that room has a wall of windows on the front as well as large ones on the side - with all those curtains open it feels quite spacious. Don't remember the listing mentioning the second (half) bath, a plus if you've got the max five people in there. The flat is on the middle level of three. The view is different than what you'd get staying closer to the village center, but spectacular nevertheless. Balcony is plenty big and you are surrounded by pastures on three sides. No microwave or dishwasher, but kitchen well-equipped otherwise. Internet faster than at home. Never turned on the TV, so can't speak to that. The flat is one of seven in a chalet on the (southern?) edge of town. Visit was in early to mid-September. (Most of the hikers gone, skiers not there yet.) None of the other flats was occupied. So there was complete silence day and night. So quiet that when you sit out on the balcony you can hear the cows in the pasture nearby chewing. One thing - listing says that it's 0.4 miles from Wengen center. That's pretty accurate - it might be actually a half mile- but most of it is uphill! Overall, I'd say this listing underpromised and overdelivered. Would definitely stay here again.

The view from the apartment is excellent as advertised. A word of caution is that the walk to the apartment, especially with luggage, is long and uphill as advertised. Taking the advice from the Interhome agent to use taxi from train station may be wise and money well spent for the initial trip up. Coming down and walking without luggage should not be an issue.

kleine Wohnung, gemütliches Wohnzimmer

Die Wohnung ist kleiner, als sie auf den Fotos wirkt. Der Hauptraum jedoch ist gemütlich mit Fenster auf zwei Seiten und Blick auf Skipiste und Berge. Kein Geschirrspüler, dafür XXX TV :)
