Good times with friends and family await at Views & Brews! Overlooking Deep Creek Lake, it is in the heart of the fun zone. Currently being updated, the spacious interior will include everything you need for a great getaway.

Favorite activities, shops, restaurants and attractions are within easy reach. Take a short drive to a local marina to rent a boat for a day of on-the-water fun. This is one of the best ways to see the beauty of the area. Swim and fish along the way as you soak up summer sun!

Deep Creek Lake State Park has something for every member of your crew. There is a sandy beach for swimming, playgrounds, hiking trails and kayak, canoe or paddleboard rentals. It is home to the Discovery Center that offers insight into the local environment. Their programs and activities led by naturalists will be a big hit with the kids.

There are six more state parks to explore during your time at the lake. Each is home to one-of-a-kind experiences that will please all ages. You can hike scenic trails, canoe on quiet lakes or cross-country ski through a pristine forest. Outdoor adventures can be found everywhere you turn!

Wisp Resort is only ten minutes away, and they have something for every season. Skiing, golf, snow tubing, mountain coaster rides, disc golf, and summer concerts are just a few of the ways to have fun at Wisp. On top of the mountain, you can take a thrilling white water rafting trip at the Adventure Sports Center International.

Each small town surrounding the lake area has special experiences too. From fun festivals and free concerts to unique antique shops and local museums, there are lots of great options to add to your itinerary.

Home Review

The home was great and located in a central part of the lake however there is no AC so keep in mind when booking during summer months.We did find a dead mouse upon arrival in the basement.

The house and property were wonderful, but it is sitting close to a very busy road. If you are looking for a place where you can sit outdoors and enjoy the peace of nature, this is not your best choice.

Overall, we were pretty disappointed with this property, however, the management company manages a lot of short-term rentals in the area and their part in this rental was top notch. The issues that we had with the property are that it is in our opinion and old, tired property and in need of upgrades. The outside of the property is unappealing, with a dirty exterior and even moss growing in places like on windowsills. And inside it smelled like the owner of many years ago used to smoke and have a dog--faint but present. Also, this unit does not have air conditioning of any kind and finally, the management company has a portal for information and sends out other information by email, making it a little confusing.

The place was fine, a little older than the pictures would lead you to believe. The biggest problem is that it's for sale, apparently, and they don't tell you that before you get there. They are doing the bare minimum (that's being nice) until it's sold I guess. The hot water heater didn't work from the start, so they sent maintenance to fix it. He arrived in about an hour (5 stars there). He said the thermostat had tripped, so he reset it but he "wasn't sure how hot it would get". It didn't get hot at all. Slightly warmer than before but still would've been a cold plunge had I filled up the bathtub. In addition to that, flashlights were provided but none of them worked and there were no replacement batteries. There was a sign next to the wood stove that mentioned the firewood that would be provided, but I had to buy my own. And to top it all off, they called me on the second day there to request I leave the house for an hour for a realtor's showing for a potential buyer (to which I politely declined...). Oh, yeah, there was also a horrible smell to the property when I pulled up. Rotting food, brewing beer, something along those lines. Could not smell it inside the house though.TLDR; property is for sale and Taylor doesn't care about maintaining it until it sells.

Good location, but dated property

We recently spent 3 days at this property after Christmas for skiing. The house is relatively spacious and close (about 10 minutes) to the Wisp ski resort. The views over the lake was very nice as well, and we appreciated that we can bring our dog with us. Unfortunately, there were a few issues with the property. First, when we booked the house over 6 months ago, there was a description of a “game room” area. Upon entry, we saw that this area was locked off and not accessible. Secondly, the house is dated and needs a refresh. Lastly, the driveway is very steep and was extremely icy, as well as the steps into the house. Two vehicles were able to get up the driveway, but one vehicle had to park at the bottom. Overall, it was a fine stay. However, unless the house gets updated, we likely won’t return.

It is a beautiful property just needs lots of maintenance. Bathtub drains are clogged. Grass was very high. Weeds growing in the driveway. Very very dusty house. When i made reservation it had AC. When we got there it would not work. I called them and after the lady spoke to me for awhile trying to get it to work. She decided to tell me they dont offer AC there but it was clearly a brand new system that was just broke down and again no maintenance. It even had a sign above the thermostats of how to work it. Beautiful place if they would just maintain the property.

Not As It Seems- NO A/C! A LOT of mouse poo!

1) COMMUNICATION- I emailed Taylor-Made via VRBO on several occasions and they never responded to my online questions. I will never rent from them again. Never sent the address to me or the code to unlock the door. I had to call them ( no answer) to get it. They returned my call within a half hour. 2) The driveway is much steeper then the picture lets on. I would not stay there in winter. The driveway is scary and turning around is impossible. We only had 2 cars, yet they say they can accommodate 3...no way! Might want mow. No fire pit as pictured. 3) NOT CLEAN AT ALL! Dusty, dirty and gross! Mouse droppings... EVERYWHERE! The silverware drawer had mouse poo in it! Needless to say, went out to eat for every meal! Dog hair all over the coach and smells like dog. Was going to use the vacuum to clean the house, it was full of dirt from the last renters ( I assume ). Windows were not clean. JUST GROSS! Why are we paying so much for the cleaning service. Hope the money we paid will make it clean for the next renters...lol 4) NO A/C and NO washer and dryer... I repeat, NO A/C! I had 2 people with medical issues, you would think having NO A/C would have been stated in the description. 78 degrees in the house! 5) Interior- holes in bathroom door. mouse hole? Very dated...light switches don't work, Master bedroom lamp can't plug in. The light socket was tapped over, can't use the end table light. The tubs didn't drain. WiFi doesn't work. Nice deck...lol We left.

Lots of room!

Five of us and two dogs stayed for three nights. We didn’t feel crowded in the home at all. Plenty of room for all of us to sit on the couch, or at the dining table, or on the deck. And spacious enough that when we needed alone time to recharge, it was easy to do. While the view of the lake is semi-obstructed, it’s still a very pretty view. The location is great, it’s between the grocery store, restaurants, and easy to get to the other side of the lake where the state park is. Please note that this property does not have air-conditioning… I somehow missed that in the listing! It wasn’t an issue during the night though, we turned on the house fan and that kept things cool.

Perfect location and view

The house was exactly what we and our two pups needed. Easy central location, huge porch with a sweeping view of the lake across the road and a nice woodstove added some ambiance. The bottom floor is being worked on or renovated so was not usable but the main floor and upstairs were perfect for us.
