In this small town of Saint Germain de Joux, you'll find gigantic cylindrical sinkholes, 2 to 3 meters deep. The Semine River and its tributary, the Combet, are solely responsible for this natural wonder. Swimming is dangerous in certain areas (due to the siphon effect in the kettles). For the more experienced or athletic, why not try the mountain trail? After the rhythmic climbs and descents, relax by one of the three lakes of the Haut Bugey region. Choose from Lake Nantua, Lake Sylans, or Lake Genin, the "Little Canada" of the Haut Bugey. In winter, about 6 km away, Giron is, depending on the season, a true paradise for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. At an altitude of 1000 meters, there are kilometers of slopes for everyone. After action-packed days, enjoy the gîte for 4 people with its different spaces and levels. And if happiness is found by the wood-burning stove, curl up on the sofa with a good book. For a moment of relaxation, upon request and weather permitting, a Nordic bath is available (€40). Ground floor: main entrance opening onto an entrance hall with a pull-out bed and a washing machine area. The living room and its lounge area, the open-plan kitchen, well-equipped and functional, are accessible via two steps. From the living room, you can access the covered terrace with a beautiful view of the village below. One floor up from the kitchen: a bedroom with a 160x200 cm bed (which can be separated) and a 80x170 cm child's bed. Two wardrobes on either side. Travel with peace of mind: the beds are made upon your arrival. Linens and towels are provided. What about utilities? Like the owners' smiles, all amenities are provided.
