The Lighthouse is the premier condo in Gulf Shores and Lighthouse 407 is one of the reasons why. 407 is the result of a never ending commitment to delivering a quality guest experience. The 4th floor balcony offers from the perfect vantage point to hear the sea and let the dolphins and pelicans enchant you. The Master Suite with a luxurious King Bed, Jacuzzi tub and walk in shower; opens to the generous balcony and will make it hard to leave to go down to the two outdoor pools and Jacuzzis waiting for you below. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for making a quick lunch so you can get back down to the business of relaxation or if you are of mind of preparing a dinner using our locally sourced sea food; you'll want for nothing. For couples, Lighthouse 407 offers a King Bed and a Queen Bed, and for those with children in tow, 407 offers a bunk bed as well. 407 offers comfort throughout the unit and of course the generous balcony offers room for all, and may just be the place where you spend the most of your time down here. Time does fly, so before you do come down you might want to give some thought to booking an extra day and if you can't, remember you can always come back.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Love this place.

Loved everything about this place except the intrusion.

Upon arrival the floors looked clean but quickly turned the bottoms of our feet black. Everything was cleaned good but I think maybe they forgot to mop. We loved this condo. The kitchen was great. They had all the dishes, baking sheets, pans, utensils, etc. we could ever need. We loved the layout, the pools, and the beach access. With all that being said, one negative thing stood out, and it will more than likely be the reason we do not return. On our 3rd day there we heard a knock at the door. My husband answered the door and a couple was at the door and they had a key already in the door trying to open it. They said they were pest control. They didn’t look professional at all’s they looked like a woman and man dressed for a day at the beach. I contacted Vacasa and they asked if we received a call before hand (we did not) and yes, pest control does come by quarterly. They said it wouldn’t happen again. I understand the need for pest control but also believe we should’ve been made aware before they tried to walk in. If they would’ve came much earlier I was the only one in the unit and in the shower. This to me is just unacceptable. I felt uncomfortable leaving my belongings and even going to sleep at night knowing people could just walk in unannounced.

Awesome experience!

Loved our condo. Loved the decor and quality of furnishings. The room was more clean than some of the hotels we stayed at during our trip!!

Great Spring Break Trip

The condo was very clean, provided great views of the ocean, and is within walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. The two outdoor pools were clean and had plenty of lounge chairs. The pool was pretty cold for both our Fall and Spring break trips, making it hard to get in.....but did not impact our excellent stay

Fall Break Stay

The unit was very clean and spacious. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. The location was great and within walking distance to several restaurants and pubs. The outdoor pools were clean and provided plenty of lounging chairs for all.

Lighthouse 407

Good location with great balcony furniture but a few annoying problems. The toaster would not work. The second bathroom shower faucet falls and hits you on the head. The main shower has mold on the outside. Pots and pans were not clean…had to clean out oil and food from previous guests. The couch quickly deteriorated in comfort from our visit last year.

Wedding Weekend

We were in Gulf Shores for our niece's wedding on the beach and decided to make a long weekend of it. Our stay was great, albeit too short! The only issue we had was a clogged sink that was quickly attended to.

The view was amazing and check in was a breeze. Enjoyed being able to walk everywhere from the condo. And the amenities were great.

Perfect

Everything was great. Only negative was ... unless we overlooked them, there was no basic kitchen items such as coffee filters, salt & pepper, or minimal amount of sugar. Usually found in other rentals.

Bad choice

There were many nice features about 407 that we enjoyed. However, had I known the whole story of staying at the Lighthouse, I would have spent my money elsewhere. First, they don't tell you the price of parking up front...many of the condos do. I called because working on a budget this can make a difference. I was told that it was currently $30, but it's not guaranteed not to change but it probably won't. It ended up costing $40 for one vehicle. The listing prior to checkout said nothing about constant construction noise. At checkout online the description indicated there was construction going on. Also that the balcony was going to be inaccessible until the 8th. My check-in was the 8th at 4 pm. I checked at the office about it being accessible. The two workers assured me that we could use it...there just wasn't furniture until the next day. When we got to the room, the first thing I wanted to do was open the doors for fresh air to fill the room...the doors were blocked from the outside. I called vacasa and I was put on hold and transferred... 20 minutes later still on hold then they disconnected my call. I went to the office and they said i had to call vacasa. So i called again. This time they said they'd put a request in to be sure to have the blocks removed shortly. It didn't happen until the next day. I live in Wisconsin and this had been a brutal winter. I had 4 nights for this vacation. To smell the ocean..feel the breeze. Four mornings to wake up to sea gulls...but now that was just cut by 25% because they didn't remove the blocks. The construction noise began before I could even hear the gulls. And it went on continuously the entire day and the next thru the whole stay. The first night I filled the jetted tub. After 18 plus hours driving I thought a relaxing bath was just the thing. I started the jets and black gunk started floating everywhere. Clearly not sanitized, I called. They would put in a request to have it cleaned. Another 20 minutes on the phone. And to coordinate when someone would be there because we really were not comfortable having the room entered with all of our belongings around, was just inconvenient. The next day when they 'cleaned ' it, it was using a cleaner squirting it on the surface or the tub jets and wiping it. They filled the tub and ran it for about 30 seconds....not with any disinfectant in the water. I even asked if that's how they usually clean it because I know that is not sufficient. They indicated that they do not clean the jets between guests...there is a maintenance schedule for that. So all they do is wipe it. How disgusting is that. Guess who didn't get a bath. Strike 2. So, now when the balcony furniture was available to be put back on the balcony, it was not arranged when this would happen.... two adults were at the beach and the two teenage girls were in the condo alone, on the balcony. The crew walked right in the room and startled the girls. By the time they came with the second load, us adults were back in the room and the workers just opened our door and walked right in. I was appalled at the lack of courtesy. Back to the beach....they advertised 635 feet of private beach. There are dozens of lounges with umbrellas inviting you. So, we try to ignore the construction noise and relax a little on our much needed vacation. Until a worker told us we had to pay to sit on the chairs...$35 daily rate!! They don't charge to sit on the chairs next to the pool...how does that even make sense! The next day the noise was really getting to us so we spent the day away from the condo. That was our last night there and with the long drive ahead of us, we needed a good night's sleep. Around 11 pm, new guests arrived right above us who decided to ignore the 'strict' no smoking policy. They were not partying, but talking incessantly and loudly, and the smoke was blowing into our unit making it impossible to enjoy the last night. It took one call to...

Awesome Property!

We had a great stay.. very. Very clean. Lighthouse condos is a great place. Close to everything right on the beach. We had 5 adults stay here and had plenty of room. The only comment would be to have a door in the bunkbed room.. it was a great trip and the condo had everything we needed!

Great room and location!

We have stayed at The Lighthouse for over 15 years and this room was very nice. Very clean and well kept. Only drawback from pictures is that bunk room is not really a room - no closet and no door.

Family Getaway

First let me say, I rely on these reviews to find the perfect place to stay. After days of reading, this condo checked all the boxes. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Nice and spacious. Beds, sofas and chairs were comfortable. The room with twin beds is small and only big enough for sleeping. Check in was easy. The views were exceptional and we loved having coffee and wine on the deck! Footsteps away from the beach just as described. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We cooked some meals and ate out for others. It’s centrally located to stores and restaurants. My only suggestion is bring a blanket or two. The beds had thin comforters ( probably perfect for summer) and I was cold at times. There were no blankets. Plenty of extra pillows. We would most definitely stay here again!!
