A lovely property with great amenities. Incredible views and easy access to restaurants and stores. Easy parking and easy to get an Uber down into town. Appreciate these hosts and hope to stay again.

Very comfortable and pleasant!

Location is close to the ocean and the pool. Condo was clean and well appointed with all of the necessities. We would 100% recommend this unit to our friends and family! We had a wonderful stay here at Papakea♥️

Great Location

Very pleased with the location of the condo and the amenities provided. Parking is a little tight if you have a larger vehicle, but ample spots are available. No direct beach access, but just a short drive to free beach parking. We would stay again.

Comfortable and convient

This place was so perfect for my stay in Maui. I really enjoyed staying here on this property. And I’ll reccomend this property/condo to stay at. It’s such a comfortable place. There’s two pools on site and we enjoyed those as well. Very close to the beach!

Awesome stay at E203. All the extras and necessities we needed. Even coffee and chocolates. Wiil definitely stay at this condo again.

Over All, Very Good !!!

All was great !!! I do have two suggestions though : It is time to replace the couch !!! My second is, the bar stools are VERY uncomfortable !! They appear to be new, but, whatever you paid for them, the seller got the best part of that deal. They are o.k. to hang some clothes on, but, that's about it. Over all, The condo is very nice and we would stay there again.

Wonderful property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Papakea. Our unit was lovely and well equipped. Beautiful views of the pool and ocean. Grounds are meticulously maintained, staff is friendly. If you visit be sure to get the cinnamon rolls from Papi's just down the street from the property. Was pleased to find coffee and coffee filters were provided at the unit. Would love to come back! Thank you.

Perfect stay

This was the perfect place for us. Not terribly expensive like the resorts but still nice enough to feel spoiled in Maui. The ocean is ten steps away but the beach is pretty rocky, you can easily walk to nearby beaches that are much better for swimming, snorkeling. Grounds are kept very beautiful. You can also walk to nearby grocery store, great pancake breakfast place and a food truck park. Place was clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the beach chairs, toys and boogie board left for us to use. We already want to plan another visit!

Very nice condo but a bit musty and front desk very bad communicators at check in and out

This was a beautiful property for sure. However the unit although very clean, was very musty smelling in all rooms when we arrived. All Vacassa said was to let it air out and that they would contact the local desk to help us. No one ever contacted us or helped. It never did air out the whole time (4 days) and we left the doors and windows open alot. There may be something else going wrong in there. Vacassa or the owner or the Papakea maintenance should do something about that but no one stepped forward after we asked for help. Other than that it was a great location and a very comfortable unit.

We loved our stay!

What caught my eye of booking this home versus the others were how simple & clean it was! It also had an amazing view. We loved that it was cheaper than other rooms as well. Me and my family of 4 came from Oahu for the Makawao rodeo and although this room was on the west side of the island, we didn’t mind the drive because the reviews of the room was all 4-5 stars! The bedroom was beautiful. Bed was neatly made. Bathroom was clean & there were even extra towels for us to enjoy the pool. The ONLY complaint I have would be that the bathroom sink was clogged. It would take a while for the water to go back down, so we just ended up brushing our teeth in the kitchen sink which was No problem! Also, the glass door of the shower wasn’t cleaned very well, because after I took a hot shower, I could see a few games of tic-tac-toe on the glass which, I know we didn’t play because I was first to shower lol. So if the glass door wasn’t cleaned, I hope the walls/ground was! The full kitchen was my favorite part and this was SO CLEAN. enough dishes for me and my family to use, and they even had coffee/ chocolate for us to enjoy. The dining area + Living room was beautiful. The sofa had a pull out bed so my 5 year old daughter could enjoy a movie & sleep in the living room! The balcony was also clean. Loved that I could see my family in the pool. I would definitely stay in E203 the next time I come to Maui. I’m already thinking of booking in the next few months!

Great place, poor management

This unit was awesome and perfect for our needs while in Maui. The location & views are incredible. However, Vacasa had very poor communication during our stay and we struggled to get any kind of support for questions and needs that arose. On multiple occasions we were told by customer support that someone from the local team would get in touch to assist us, and we heard nothing back, which is unacceptable. It was also just generally difficult to understand HOW to contact them when we needed something. Do we respond to the multiple texts they sent? Do we email them? Call? We consider ourselves pretty tech-savvy and are even vacation rental hosts ourselves, but couldn’t find this info on our booking. Needless to say I was left with unanswered calls, emails, AND text messages. If you are planning on being independent & self-sufficient during your stay, this might still be a good option. Lastly, we were very dissatisfied with the additional $17/night “facility fee” that the complex office collects at check in. The attendant literally held our keys hostage until I gave him a credit card to pay. Yes, this fee disclosed in the listing for the unit, but it’s just tacky and annoying. When I book a property, I expect to automatically get access to the property’s “facilities” (pool, hot tub, etc.) without paying extra at a different time. This isn’t a hotel where “resort charges” are customary. It’s a condo. If this is mandatory for the resort, the host should pay it and add it to the nightly rate, just to avoid confusion and complexity. Overall, while we enjoyed the unit itself, we’ll be looking elsewhere next time we’re in Maui.

Beautiful condo, bad management

This condo deserves 5 stars, but unfortunately we had an AC issue that was mishandled by the management company. We booked this condo because of the appeal of the AC unit in the master. Issue with the AC in the master started our 1st night. It would make a deep humming noise for about 10 sec. Then stop for about a min and then do it again. Even with the unit completely turned off, it did it. With both units turned off, it did it. After 2 hours of not being able to sleep, I text the management co. They informed me to go to the breaker box and switch it off for 5 mins and try again. Did that and it still made the noise. We ended up having the AC breaker turned off just so we could sleep. They sent someone the next day, we weren’t there, but John the property manger with Vacasa said the maintenance guy did hear it, but they wouldn’t get someone there until Monday, it was Friday. He said in the mean time for the inconvenience he would only be able to refund us $100 and could drop eat plugs off. I was frustrated and stated to him that we purposely paid more for the condo bc of the the 2 units. Also, I have children that I need to be able to hear, so sleeping with earplugs for 3 nights doesn’t sound like a fun Maui vacay. In the end, they sent someone out, did some reboot with the system and we had 2 quiet nights of sleep. The hum started back up. John stated bc they didn’t diagnose a problem we wouldn’t get any more money refunded. Don’t waste your money on the extra AC. Bummer.

Le parfait condo à Maui

Nous avons adoré ce condo et le recommande à tous . Si on revient à Maui , on se loge au papakea encore . Situé dans une belle région de Maui avec belles plages , restos et boutiques à proximité au whalers village . Le lit est confortable, deux airs climatisés, superbe vue , couchers de soleil . Site très bien entretenu, propre . Tout le nécessaire est disponible dans le condo , chaises de plage , cooler pour la plage , laveuse et sécheuse . Très beau condo !

Clean, ocean front condo

This condo was very clean and bright with quick walkable access to both the ocean and the pool/ hot tub! We stayed for 4 nights and would have been very comfortable here for longer. Definitely recommend for 2 (or a 3rd on the couch).

Nice Unit in a Nice Complex

Updated, clean, bright unit with ocean and garden/pool views. The complex is nicely landscaped and includes a number of fun activities (pickle ball, shuffleboard, beanbag toss, swimming, etc). And it is not crowded with 2 pool areas and a large lawn along the oceanfront. Close to swimming and good snorkeling.

Everything was good. Had a little issue trying to figure out the TV operation. No instructions in the Unit for the use of particulars. No DVD player as advertised. Thanks for having us.

We are so sorry to hear about the issues you faced with the TV operation and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. We will be adding instructions for the TV for future guests. Additionally, we regret the oversight regarding the availability of the DVD player. This amenity was removed when the TVs were upgraded to smart TVs, though it was mistakenly left on the listing. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can update the listing accordingly. We look forward to hosting you again!
