This home is a haven of peace to relax and reconnect with nature far from the city. It overlooks the Anza Borrego desert, Mount Jacinto range and the Rams Hills golf course. It is inside the Rams Hill gated community with its beautiful mesquite houses and trails around the golf and desert. You can see, golf and hike for miles and miles around it, desert flora and wildlife such as hares, roadrunners, coyotes, quails... can be seen everywhere.

This was our third stay here and it will not be the last. In short, we are in love with the place. Anza Borrego is a special place - geology, wildlife, birdlife, serenity, history. But it is made even more remarkable with such an enjoyable place to come back to after a day hiking or 4-wheeling. The views are stunning. The beds so good we sleep like the dead. The kitchen is far better equipped than most. The outdoor furniture is comfortable for lounging or having a meal al fresco. There are many small touches. Also, the HVAC is very effective and the WiFi strong. There are no near neighbors, so you can play the Yamaha grand piano with abandon. The owner is always available by text.

Great property

This is a great property in a private, quiet location with beautiful views and this is the second time we have stayed at the property. The gated community and golf course are well maintained and attractive. The house is very private with no adjacent properties. The views of Font's Point, the badlands and the Santa Rosa Mountains are stunning. The home is easy to get to with everything you need. The host and owner Vincent is very nice, easy to communicate with and responsive. Would highly recommend.

Private, quiet villa with great views

Our family of six really enjoyed our stay over new year's. This Mediterranean styled home in Ram's Hill is very private and quiet with no adjacent neighbors. The comfortable patio and great views of Font's Point, the badlands and the Salton Sea are very relaxing. Vincent is reasonable, friendly, easy to communicate with and responds very quickly. The tile floors get cold so bring slippers. Having stayed in Ram's Hill at the same time of year for five years I can heartily recommend this property.

Desert Adventure

Lovely villa with gorgeous views, beautiful walks in the community, many visits to see the metal sculptures throughout the valley, taking rental e-bike rides, exploring the amazing state park, and eating at super restaurants. What’s not to like? And Vincent the owner was there for us when issues arose that required his help. A true adventure in all respects!

Fantastic place to relax

This is one of our favorite places, hands down. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen unusually well equipped, large, and well laid out. The view over the valley to the mountains and Fonts Point is stunning and the outdoor furniture comfortable and high end. The great room provides seating for a group to converse or watch a movie, but is also a cozy place for a couple in the evening. The dining table is large and convenient to the kitchen. It is a great location for birdwatching, and it is most pleasant to head out the door in the morning and take a long walk around the neighborhood. There are many nice gardens to observe. It is very quiet, but for birds, and you cannot help but relax. Be sure to look up on a clear night, the sky will be alight with stars.

Rams Hill vacation

Beautiful house overlooking the 4th hole at Rams Hill golf course. Expansive views and stunning sunrise and set. Very spacious. Excellent kitchen and easy to use outdoor grill. Loved the piano! Great washer and dryer. Internet works well. We would stay here again for sure. Couple of issues. Bed was very soft, not our style, but that is how it is. Same in guest room. Like many homes in Rams Hill one bathroom gets hot water much faster, so to avoid wasting water we used the guest bathroom for showers. This was fine because it was only two of us but with more guests not really feasible. The outside fan farthest south on the patio creaks in the wind. Very noticeable if sitting outside, but did not hear it at all in the master bedroom. We were going to tie it down with string but didn’t need to. No mention about pool/tennis court access. Usually this is available, but we did not have access. Not sure if this was an oversight. These things were minor and did not influence our stay.

Thank you so much for your feedback. That enabled us to, for example check and fix the creaking fan on the patio. We replaced the circulator pump for the master bathroom which will make it faster for the hot water to become available. Regarding the availability of a pool or spa, this particular community in the Ram's Hill gated area doesn't have any. One possibility though is to go to the Casa del Zoro resort nearby which has several pools and courts.

Desert Villa

This home has beautiful views on every side, is spacious, well appointed and taken care of by the owners in a welcoming and wonderful way. We enjoy the varied wildlife we see close by, stars at night and the Rams Hill community is very welcoming. We will be back again soon!

Spectacular desert stay

Our group of 3 long time couples travelled from Seattle to Borrego. We had such a wonderful time, hiking on the many trails in the Anza Borrego park, sitting on the lovely outdoor patio watching the birds and looking out to the golf course and the mountains beyond, cooking meals in the well equipped kitchen, and loving the lovely warm weather. Vincent responded immediately to our questions and was very attentive. It was a perfect vacation.

Absolutely perfect

The description and photos are accurate, but do not do full justice to this house and its surroundings. It is very spacious and well designed, the master suite is in a separate wing from the other bedrooms, and the kitchen well equipped and easy for more than one to work in. The house is immaculate. The veranda faces the Santa Rosa Mts. over the golf course and the view extends to the Salton Sea on a clear day. Birdwatching is excellent. The piano is tuned and has nice action and a beautiful tone. Beds are very comfortable and linens are high quality. We did not watch TV or stream movies, but the set up to do so is very comfortable for a group and we enjoyed sitting in the living room in the evening to read and listen to music. The front gardens in the surrounding properties are also lovely and a walk around the neighborhood is very pleasant. Views in all directions.

Desert adventures for my dad’s 80th

My parents were so excited to celebrate my dads’s 80th birthday in Borrego Springs, with family. This house added so much to our trip by providing a spacious, beautiful, comfortable home base for our desert adventures. We ate breakfast each morning on the patio, cooked together in the well-stocked kitchen, and slept comfortably in a great layout that allowed my parents to get away from the noise of our young kids in the primary suite. Rams Hill was the perfect central location for excursions and we even had some great wildlife sightings in the neighborhood—roadrunners, hawks, and a coyote. I would highly recommend this house to others looking to visit Anza Borrego!

Desert Villa

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. The home is beautiful, well laid out and the owners have appointed it in a very welcoming and gracious way. The house has magnificent views on every side and is in a quiet and private location within the Rams Hill Golf Club. The stargazing from here at night was also incredible. We look forward to returning for another stay soon!
