Prior to the visit, I sent him several messages on Expedia and Vrbo with no response. We arrived at the property and the owner was not around. As if this was not bad enough, the security put him on the phone and he informed us that he had booked the property for other people and we had to figure ourselves out. Luckily, I have some friends in Guinea and they helped me find a big complex with multiple units. I was not happy about the situation, but I was glad I had a solution. If I did not know anyone in Guinea, I would have been stranded. I called Expedia about it on the same day (on the 8th of November) and they informed me to speak to Vrbo. They opened a case and it has been 3 weeks with no progress about my refund. I am really not happy and hope they resolve this. It is a nightmare and I will be avoiding BnBs for a while. Please stay away from this property.
