perfect location and setting
We loved this property. It was one of our favorite places to stay. Great view, attentive owner/representative for any issues (we really had none), covered parking, security, elevator. Two reasons we ranked it four stars instead of five-- internet use compared to other places was very slow, and the front foyer door rattled in the wind at night so somewhat noisy if the winds were gusty. Otherwise it was great !! Thank you, Sean.
Great stay in Galway.
Sean is very accommodating and the units are perfect and very secure. I would recommend this location for anyone planning to stay in Galway.
Very nice. But, No Balcony Water Views or handicapped shower . But great location and very clean.
Arus Grattan is a very nice apartment in a very nice location. Let me start off on a negative note: There are 11 apartments in the building named “Arus Grattan”. The best I can tell is that the photos on VRBO are from multiple units. Only three of the units (I believe Unit 10, 7 and 4 ….. going from memory) have the balcony water view shown in the VRBO photograph. We were in Unit 11 (top floor with two Bedrooms and two Baths) and thought we were getting balcony water view, so a full point off for that negative. The second negative, is that there is a picture of a handicapped shower in the bathroom. Again that must be in a different unit from the one we rented since we didn’t have that bathroom, but we did have a low one step up shower that my wife could use. So we were fine. But, another half point off.
There are too many positives to mention (a half point added back on). Starting with Sean, he was great and explained the unit, heating, water, laundry, indoor parking, stove, etc. in great detail. He also provided some directions, pointed out the store for shopping and made suggestions for restaurants. The unit itself was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is excellent. We walked into Galway City numerous times (30 minutes) and also to downtown Salthill (less than 10 minutes) to a dozen restaurants and pubs. The indoor parking was very nice as was the elevator. We would go back again but would like to try Unit 10 or Unit 7.
Wheelchair accessible apartment with water views!
The apartment was everything it was advertised to be. Sean welcomed us and explained the details of the apartment and neighborhood. Wonderful terrace and view. The bonus for us was an elevator and wheelchair friendly space for our family member. Kitchen and bathroom were designed for wheelchair accessibility.
Great Property with great views!
Awesome location right in Salthill and in walking distance of Galway city! It was a great spot to be at for the Galway races!
For friendly service, wonderful accommodation, amazing view, fabulous location and best landlord ever book Sean's apartments! My husband and I and my 85 year-old Mam had an incredible stay overlooking the ocean with cruise ships coming and going, people swimming and walkers on the Salthill Prom. The apartment was clean, modern and gorgeous. We had cocktails on the deck nightly. Shopping was amazing nearby at Morton's and do not miss Connors Famous Pub!
Galway, City of the Tribes, is a medieval city dating back to the 5th century. A thriving and vibrant artistic community, the home base of the International renowned Macnas and Druid Theater company. A whirlwind of activity with Art galleries, old book shops, pubs, restaurants, theater, arts, culture, and traditional Irish music. All centered in the narrow streets bustling with activity and friendly people. Enjoy great shopping, the city is proud to offer an array of shops to cater for all tastes. The Canal walkways, the salmon fishing at the salmon weir bridge and the meeting of the sea and river bed between long walk and the old fishing village of the Claddagh create a peaceful escape from all the bustle. The nearby village of Salthill over looking Galway Bay provides a seaside recreational facility with family leisure activities, swimming complex, golfing, horse riding and promenade walks.
