Why Kye Iris chose Los Osos
Unspoiled California as it once was. You are surrounded by natural beauty. Spectacular views--you can reach out and feel the estuary on all sides. This location is a one in a million.
What makes this House unique
As you drift off to sleep, often you might hear a dull roar. You would think it was the sound of the freeway--but it is the sound of the surf. We encourage you to soak in the natural beauty and wonder of this very special hideaway.

We really enjoyed our stay in Los Osos! The bedrooms are huge and the master bed is very comfortable. We slept very well. The kitchen had everything you could wish for except measuring spoons (they had only teaspoons), so we bought a set for the house. We highly recommend this house.
Fantastic location, very comfortable
Great kitchen, stocked with lots if necessities and some extra. Super fluffy towels. Footsteps away from a great birdwatching preserve and view of Morro Rock and bay from the jacuzzi was outstanding.
Quiet, wild life, hiking close by at Montana de Ore, easy water access. Views from the backyard
Nice and clean. Roomy main area and views from the backyard of the bay is nice to come back too after a full day of fun
It was cozy. For the price it wasn’t bad. It had most everything we needed. We did have to wash all our own dishes by hand and with 2 little ones that got a bit frustrating. Also they keep a vehicle in the garage so you have to park outside which was not fun as it rained many days of our trip. With 2 little ones that got old quick. But for the price it had comfy beds and a place to cook. The back yard was nice with a view. Oh and if you wanted a bath there was no bath plugs we could find so we purchased some. We left them there for the next guest if you have little kids that don’t take showers yet. All in all it was quiet and comfortable.
Oh so nice in Los Osos
Overall we were quite comfortable at this ocean-themed Los Osos home. It was generously amenitized, with plenty of cookware in the kitchen, towels, and even kayaks. I don't think I've ever encountered a VRBO supplied with both a Crock Pot and rice cooker! The furnishings are a bit dated - but everything was clean and tidy. And we loved the location adjacent the estuary. The view from the hot tub is fantastic - and at night the clear starry skies were a feast for stargazers.
Tranquil, relaxed, and clean!
I have to thank Kye who was very helpful with providing local places that allowed dogs since the preserve no longer allowed dogs. She went out of her way to offer several recommendations of which the dogs loved! Most of all we enjoyed the super clean house, relaxing on the deck taking in the beautiful view of the bay. The fence around the back deck needs to be replaced, but it didn’t interfere with our stay. We will return!
Steps from the Sweet Springs Nature preserve. A few blocks away from Elfin Forest preserve. Montana De Oro is a must see just 2 miles away. Sweeping vistas of wild unspoiled rocky California Coast. Whale watching in Morro Bay by boat or off the coast from Montana De Oro, with miles of beaches and trails. July 2011 has seen blue whales and hump back whales in abundance just off shore. Bird watching in the winter is spectacular from the deck, or from Sweet Springs preserve just steps away.
