Welcome to the most unique and stunning ocean front gated private villa in the area. Our casa is a luxurious retreat away from your everyday world that is located in a very quiet and peacefully secure area with an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean.
The 3100 square foot three story casa is an open-floor plan architectural wonder that includes three master bedroom suites, each with an extremely comfortable king-size memory foam bed, remote controlled air-conditioning with a private adjoining bathroom. Beautiful tile flooring on the main two floors and terraces with an interior non-skid staircase that brings you up to the second and third floors lends a contemporary feel to the casa that sleeps 8.
On the first floor you will find an over-sized fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a large pantry. An astonishing breakfast bar and a nearby dining table area compliment the kitchen. There is a half bath just off the kitchen. The living area invites you to sit and relax on the leather furniture and enjoy the view out the huge sliding glass doors to the pool area and covered terrace. One master suite is off the main living area with its own private patio area. The entire first floor, including the covered terrace is wheelchair accessible. The covered terrace has a 15’ overhang which beckons you outside to enjoy the outdoor bar area that includes a Weber gas barbeque and a ceiling fan for a little added breeze. Perfect for those afternoon margaritas. This area also has a half bath near the pool for convenience. There is over 2200 square feet of tiled exterior terraces. Past the pool is one of four sun decks, this one sporting a compass rose to give you your bearings.
The second floor consists of two more ocean view master suites/baths, a center bonus room and two terraces. All master suites are fitted with Egyptian cotton bedding and soft plush towels. All windows and most doors are screened. The bonus room sports two leather futons that can be converted into extra sleeping. There is a small reading library and a selection of music & movie CD's available. The front terrace on the second floor is partially shaded by a beautiful wood pergola and is surrounded by a wood & rope railing. The custom-made woodwork throughout the home is gorgeous. Maid service comes once a week.
The third floor is an open secluded area for sunbathing and the best place for viewing the dramatic sunrises and sunsets. Watching the migrating whales, manta rays, porpoises and the dive bombing local bird life is a full time job. This area of beach also serves as a nesting ground for returning sea turtles.
The 38’ x 18’ pool is big enough for lap swimming or just cooling off. There is a sturdy handrail down the steps into the 5’ deep pool that has underwater lighting for night swims. The pool boy comes twice weekly.
The casa is enclosed within its own security walls with a locking front driveway gate and secure parking inside the structure. It is surrounded by undeveloped building lots on all sides, so it is extremely private. There is a new washer and dryer outside the casa under an attached pergola. There are seven ceiling fans throughout the home. A UV water filtration system is installed for pure water as well as a cold bottled water dispenser.
Just steps away from the casa is the exclusive Grand Bay Hotel’s world class 27 hole golf course (Golf Magazine Gold Medal Award winner) with it’s own great clubhouse that serves a wonderful Sunday brunch. The Grand Bay also has a variety of dining options. A 45 minute drive into Manzanillo brings two more exceptional golf courses for your enjoyment and modern shopping. A half mile walk brings you to Coco Cabanas, the local gathering place that serves up wonderful meals and drinks.
The nearby towns of Cihuatlan, Barra de Navidad and Melaque have all wonderful shopping areas where the local fresh seafood, fruit and vegetables are stocked in abundance.

Five friends have found the jewel of Mexico. We came here to spend relaxation time and decided this was the place to have a home. Traveling all over Mexico, this is the area we came back to time and again because of its beautiful lands and people.
This area of Mexico is very tropical and green with an abundance of agriculture. The 5 mile long Playa de Coco Beach area is covered with coconut palms, bananas, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers. We have enjoyed meeting the local people and have made many friends.
Watching the migrating whales, manta rays, porpoise and the dive bombing, fish catching pelicans and local bird life is the only full time job here. The local temperature varies between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit year round. Local fresh seafood is in abundance. It IS paradise!
Casa Coco was a perfect fit for our group of six adults. The property is perfectly located at the end of a secluded beach near the resort. Neighbors are sparse, so the place really feels like you have paradise to yourself. It's a short drive to a boat launch to get to Barra or a slightly longer drive around the peninsula. I've always stayed in town in the past, which is it's own great experience, but Casa Coco offers a very different experience: it is seclusion at it's very best. You can opt in to town activities when you want, but otherwise have paradise to yourself at the house.
The rooms were well appointed and the beds were super comfortable after long days of swimming, lounging and adventuring. The kitchen has everything you need to make great meals. The shared spaces in the house are perfect for spreading out. Between the poolside deck, second floor balcony and rooftop deck, there's a lot of space to relax, watch the stars, sunrises and sunsets and enjoy the peace.
Lisa was a great a host and made the whole process a breeze, and the property manager was always accessible. One thing we didn't realize at first was that the area is subject to brown outs, so we were without power for periods of time, which was actually just fine all of us, as it allowed us to relax and enjoy a drink by the pool. As others have noted, the surf is very rough by the house, so absolutely no swimming there, but up the beach there is a lovely cove that is great for swimming, and the pool is perfect for laps or just lounging in.
I can't recommend this place enough!
Just spent 9 days at Casa Coco and it was my first trip to Mexico that I wasn`t ready to leave. I could have stayed for weeks longer. My favorite time of the day was getting up at sunrise and opening the sliding glass wall to the pool deck and enjoying some quiet time with a coffee and a book before everyone else got up. The 3 king bed suites were perfect for the 5 of us and the cooking facilities encouraged us to eat most of our meals at the house, even though that was not our original intention. The beach is long and almost deserted although swimming is not for the timid as we saw waves crash at the shoreline that were 12-15 feet high. If you want a beautiful swimming beach walk up the beach past the golf course to the protected beach as mentioned by the previous quest in there review. It is a long walk but well worth it. You can also reach it by driving through the Grand Navidad resort and parking at the far end of the golf course. We greatly appreciated having the beautiful pool and it was kept up perfectly by Alvaro the pool man who came on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The housekeeper came on Tuesday also and we were not there to meet her but came back to changed bed linens and towels and a nicely tidied up house. Lisa the owner was very easy to deal with and gave us great directions and advise. Having a car is mandatory unless you don`t plan on leaving the house. The bodega in Ciuatlan is the biggest grocery store to stock up in, although we found the Hawaii market in Melaque to have better produce and meat and a great wine selection but it definitely is pricier as they cater to the visiting Americans and Canadians. Over all this was one of the best vacations I have been on even though it was too short. I highly recommend Casa Coco and look forward to returning.
We rented Casa Coco for 16 days and had an amazing holiday. There were three couples in our group and having three suites with private ensuites was perfect. The Casa is even better than the pictures. The wall of French sliders open to the deck with a beautiful view of the ocean. We were lucky each day and watched the Dolphins and whales. We want to sleep to the sound of the waves and woke up to the sound of the birds. There are so many great restaurants close by in either Barra de Navidad or Melaque. It is a short boat ride to Barra. We bought fresh fruit and vegetables from the market and fresh fish and seafood from the fish market. Sunsets never disappointed us. The house is beautiful. Be sure to spend some time at the secret beach which is approx one km to the west down the beach. There are stairs (200 steps) up and over the Rock. The beach is protected and great for swimming. The maid service was excellent. I could go on and on but my title really sums up Casa Coco perfectly!
We needed a place for a girls getaway weekend and Casa Coco worked out perfectly! We didn't leave the grounds except to take a walk on the beach. The kitchen was well stocked for our meals, the pool was fabulous and the privacy was amazing. Fernando and Alvaro were quick to respond when we had a question and Alvaro even brought us fresh coconuts one day. We will definitely be returning next year!
We visited for one month and had a wonderful time. There were three of us and we used all the space and had plenty of space to not be banging into each other.
We loved the area and used the restaurant suggestions daily. It was a great get way from our regular life in Baja.
While we were there we had a pod of whales that slapped their tails, splashed and jumped all across the horizon in front of the casa. Don't forget your binoculars!! A must!! The house is spacious and beautiful. It really is unequaled as far as view. Totally unobstructed from horizon to horizon. The sunsets were spectacular. The house is exactly as pictured. You will have a fabulous time.
