We stayed 1 night in our booked accommodation. Very poor internal and external decoration. The whole villa smelt strongly of damp and there was mould on some walls. Many broken patio tiles constituting a trip hazard along with poorly maintained outside stepsThere were petrol cans stored inside the house adjacent to a gas fired boiler. No carbon monoxide monitor despite there being 2 gas appliances which was not recorded in the online property details. The room with the boiler and petrol cams had no door on it. It was at the bottom of a stairwell so any resulting fire could not have been contained. There was no fire extinguisher(s) or blanket. You are booking through an agent (VRBO) who takes no responsibility. ADVISE: Read the booking terms and conditions before parting with any money. VRBO are only obliged to provide alternative accommodation if you can book it through Hotels.com, Expedia.com or VRBO. Funnily enough when I tried to book somewhere else there no similar properties available! VRBO agreed that we should leave the booked accommodation. We are considerably out of pocket and I suspect the villa owner has been paid in full.
