The cabin was amazing.
It was absolutely amazing! The cabin was magical and everything I expected and more. The back yard porch over the creek was one of the most beautiful things ever! Absolutely love this place.
My family greatly enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The décor was homey and rustic - very comfortable. The back deck was spectacular, and the views of the creek couldn't be beat! At night, all you could hear was the sound of the waterfall. Perfect! Also, very conveniently located. Wonderful visit!
Valley Creek was everything we hoped for during our extended stay. The cabin is comfortable and interestingly decorated. The rental company offers excellent service and is responsive when you need assistance. Situated in a heavily wooded site the temperature was consistently cool and the creek and small waterfall noise was lovely. The cabin is convenient to local attractions with access to a major road very close by. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the road is a serious problem with large potholes, rocks and areas that have been washed out over time. If not for the road, Valley Creek is easily a 5 star for us and we have already reserved for an extended stay next year!
wonderful cabin, terrible drive
Having rented probably 10 t0 12 different rentals in the mountains the last dozen years I have to say that the cabin was quite comfortable. Very nice views of the creek in backyard and is conveniently located to area attractions but the driveway was absolutely horrible. I don't think it is owners fault because there is construction going right at the cabins but there seems to be no upkeep of the drive. If owning only a car I was question rental agency at length before renting same.
Wonderful cabin, great location
The pictures don't do this cabin justice.
We spent a 4 day weekend at Valley Creek Cabin with my in-laws (4 adults + 1 child + dogs), and the layout allowed us all our private space, as well as very roomy common areas. Families with more children could easily fit here by using the bunk beds in the loft (which we didn't need). The decor is very cozy (we told our little girl that it was like Gaston's lodge, from Beauty and the Beast).
The cabin is very conveniently located (not far off a major road), and allowed us easy access to Boone, Grandfather Mt, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Blue Ridge Prkwy, and Blowing Rock. We'd return to the cabin in the evening, and enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub.
The price was very reasonable for everything that you get in this cabin.
We'll definitely look at returning again.
Hot Tub on Back deck with small creek and waterfall view.
