About the property

Villa, 3 Bedrooms + Detached Unit, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Our North Villa is built in beautiful Mexico beach style with thick curving walls, handmade shutters and palapa covered balconies. Designed for relaxing indoor/outdoor living, every room has a great view of one of the best surf spots in Mexico. Indoors, there are three air-conditioned bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as a full kitchen and living room. Outdoors under a beautiful, hand-woven palapa roof there is a dining area and an additional sitting area, all with views of the surf. Our North Villa is located in the northeast corner of our rental complex. The complex consists of two three bedroom/three bath villas and two one bedroom/one bath casitas. The villa is just steps from the beach and a shared infinity edge pool at the center of the complex.

Playa la Saladita is a world famous left breaking 'wave machine'. One of the longest rides you will ever find, described by some as a left breaking Malibu. Just step out of our gate onto the beach and paddle out to the break!

Saladita is a quiet tropical paradise located about 45 minutes north of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. It is about 20 minutes north of Troncones. Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo international airport is about 1 hour away. There are many other surf spots, restaurants and attractions in the surrounding area.

Casita was perfect for my family of 4

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I and our 2 kids (ages 10 and 3) stayed at Chuparosa in Dec 2013 and again this year in Nov 2015.

We loved Chuparosa so much in 2013, that we didn't hesitate to book again.

We settled into our daily routine very quickly....In the early morning, I would go for long walks along the beach and collect shells for the kids. Upon my return, my husband would go for his morning surf. The kids would spend hours and hours playing in the pool. Siesta time would be from about 11-3 to get out of the sun (reading, sleeping, lying in the hammock), then head out to the beach or pool for more playing time.

I had my birthday this year in Saladita and my husband and kids managed to bake a cake in our simple outdoor kitchen.

We had the pleasure of meeting Brad and Ann, the owners, this trip. They have created a beautiful piece of paradise and we will be back.

If you want to relax and be in front of an amazing wave for surfing then La Chuparosa is the place to stay. In a word, the experience is perfect. The property is well designed so that privacy is provided for all 4 buildings. All have great views of the wave at Saladita. The pool is fantastic, the AC nice and cold, and the whole place is maintained with diligence, love, and care. I felt very welcomed and safe. Any questions I had were attended to right away and I was accommodated in comfort truly beyond my expectations. The rooms are spacious, with great storage, comfy beds, and nice layouts. Kitchens are clean and well supplied for any cooking I wanted. I can't recommend this place enough, already looking at coming back a couple months later.

Third stay at La Chuparosa

  • 5 of 5

This was our third stay at La Chuparosa. That sentence alone speaks volumes. We've surfed in Costa Rica, Samoa, and other popular spots. Our favorite is the wave at Saladita. It is consistent and although it is getting more and more popular, everyday we caught good waves. La Chuparosa is very comfortable, the staff are amazing, and watching the sunset from the pool, well, life doesn't get much better than that. As other reviews have said, Beto, the property manager will pick you up at the airport and stop for groceries. We rent a car and stop in Troncones for boards. However, Beto has boards for rent as well. On this trip, we made reservations with Beto to have the staff cook two dinners for our group.Beto grilled chicken on our first night and we had the most incredible chili rellenos on our last night. This visit was particularly special as we got to meet Brad and Ann, the owners, and had some great conversations. As the week went on, we get the feeling of a community at La Chup as everyone gathers in the pool in the afternoon. A big thank you to Brad, Ann, Beto and all the staff at La Chuparosa.

Best Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at LaCuparosa for 10 days and every one of them was magnificent. I'm not a surfer but it didn't matter. I don't drink & that didn't matter either. For me it was a perfect, serene setting with the beautiful sea as the back drop. The entire atmosphere at LaCuparosa says 'unwind & relax'. When not swimming or taking long beach walks I spent most of my time reading in one of the shaded hammocks at the shoreline. In a word, Bliss.

My New Favorite Holiday Spot

  • 5 of 5

I had a such a wonderful summer vacation with family friends staying at La Chuparosa de Saladita! While La Chuparosa is known to draw the surfing crowd it is equally enjoyable for a non surfer such as myself. La Chuparosa is truly a little paradise on the beach- an incredible get away where I was able to unwind and come home feeling fully recharged. I spent long hours lounging by the pool under the shaded palapa reading. The beach is literally right in front of the property so I would go back and forth between my ocean swims and pool dips. For my friends who are surfers it was a short paddle or quick walk to the point, you can’t beat that. The hammocks, right on the beach, were a lovely spot to catch the afternoon breeze, be it a little siesta or to simply swing and watch the waves roll in.

The layout of the Villas are very accommodating for a large group with the outdoor dining/living area. I highly recommend getting fresh handmade tortillas in Los Llanos. We used them in just about every meal. It was hot while we were there so i was very grateful for the AC in the rooms. I also really appreciate that the owners are committed to being environmentally friendly with their solar panels. Oh and I will never forget the incredible meal we had Beto organize with one of the local chefs. Grilled lobster and ceviche…delicious! Beto and Mari Elena were very helpful and take such great care of the property. I look forward to another trip!
