Unique forest setting for great family time together. House has huge kitchen, dining room with windows all around. There is also a dry cabin/playhouse/detached bedroom/secluded reading nook in the back. It is a wonderful place to send the kids or escape to yourself. Cabin has chipmunks and squirrels that will eat out of your hands. Fox pups in the spring in a den close by. ATV and mountain bikes for riding. Trails and hiking. Professional gas/briquettes grill smoker. Fireplace. Wood stove. Fire pit. Wood and kindling for fireplaces provided.

Beautiful location, great accommodations and sweet treat left for us at check-in. Kids loved riding the bikes and my son loved sleeping in the extra little cottage room. Frig and kitchen had all the spices and condiments you could need, which is SOOOO helpful!! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent wildlife sightings! Black bear, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, fox and a deer that licked our daughters' hand. Home was spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of entertainment (although we didn't use any of it) Located in the middle of our scheduled activities. Host brought needed supplies when requested. Place was quiet and relaxing.

We loved property! The cabin was cozy and had room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room for preparing our own meals. We enjoyed watching the animals and my kids liked exploring and climbing on the rocks. The fresh baked cookies were a delicious addition.

We had a great time out here enjoying the quiet and being away from everything. Place was clean and easy to find as long as you had an offline map cause there was no service but that was part of charm being able to fully disconnect from home and work. Will look into availability next time we head out that way. Had everything we needed to be right at home on the mountain

The property care taker helped make our visit wonderful. She left a big plate of freshly baked cookies that were absolutely divine! The property itself is located in a beautiful mountain setting. Absolutely breathtaking!10/10 I would book here again.Thank you again for making this trip so special!

House is reached by traveling on dirt roads after departing from paved roads. The driveway is dirt and on an incline. The house is nice. No working A/C but I didn’t check that out ahead of time. It’s about a 45 minute drive to the pike’s peak, manitou springs area and about the same amount of time to the Florrisant area. The house was clean and had outdoor seating.

We had a great stay this weekend. Place was clean and Angela the host and her daughter were amazing. They left us warm cookies and a personalized note. There are a few things as with any house that need some attention. I think the listing said it sleeps eight but it there was only one twin bed, sleeping seven. In the master bath the right side sonk drained really really slow. They need new tents on the gas grill because the other ones are disintegrated. The one thing that needs attention immediately is the floor vent covers. They slide right off leaving a hole in the floor. Someone is going to slice their toe or sprain and ankle. The vent covers need replaced with actual vents. With all that said, it really is a great place and I would recommend it.

Couldn't beat the price for the three nights we stayed, however there were critical things that were not acceptable that we realized upon arrival. The floor vents in the middle of the walkway were not attached and we had to tape then down so the kids didn't fall into then or ram a toe into the vent cover. The windows literally came out of the frame when we opened them. Every towel rack or toilet paper holder fell off the wall, when we hung a towel up or changed the toilet paper roll. There was mouse droppings in all the bottom cabinets. The floor was not clean and the rug was disgusting. There was hair and dirt all over the "clean" linens in the bathroom closet. smelly rags on the window sill...we could go on. Overall it was okay, but truly very dirty for bringing our kids into.

We enjoyed sitting by the fire and letting our dogs roam the land. But the space was not clean on arrival.

I am sorry you feel the property was not clean upon your arrival. During an active snow storm it is hard to keep the entry way floors spotless. I do hope you enjoyed the personalized birthday decor and home made fruit tart for your wife's birthday as well as the extra 3 hours you were given for check out prior to your arrival.

Absolutely stunning setting, with mule deer visiting and calm, peaceful surroundings. Spacious living area, with a large kitchen and plenty of supplies for cooking at “ home”.Probably my only complaint was the top loading washer, as I have rather short arms so reaching the bottom was somewhat difficult ( I prefer front loading for this reason) Be prepared for a bit of a drive to local towns, but nothing more than 15 minutes or so…but did lose gps connection for a few minutes ( if you’re directionally challenged, download the directions in advance) The description says parking for 9 or 10 cars, but it probably would actually work for 4-5but not much more..

Wow! What an amazing stay we had at the cabin!The place is absolutely beautiful and very well equipped — everything we needed was there. The surrounding nature is breathtaking and made the experience even more special.The host was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. We were surprised with delicious cookies and a lovely handwritten note, which truly touched our hearts.Check-in was super easy, and the whole stay was smooth and relaxing. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We chose this property because of the beauty that surrounds it and the sense that you are the only people in the area when you are there. It is surrounded by trees and wildlife. It also has a huge kitchen and dining area, great for entertaining and cooking on the grill. The dry cabin out back is a great place for the kids to play and pretend it is their own little cabin.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The most unique aspect is the wildlife. there are several chipmunks and squirrels that will eat out of your hand if you take seeds and nuts up. You can see the feeders they frequent at the entrance to the front deck. And, best of all, there is a red fox family that dens in the rocks near the trailer. In the spring, if you are quiet, you can watch them play from the deck. It is a very unique and amazing place to visit.
