About the host

Thanks for considering our home in the charming mountain town of Basalt, Colorado!
The Roaring Fork Valley is one of the best places to live in Colorado, if not the Rocky Mountains. With easy access to every outdoor activity imaginable, the location is second to none. Only minutes from Aspen, Snowmass, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs, you can enjoy countless outdoor and cultural amenities without sacrificing modern conveniences.
My wife and I have owned this property for over ten years, calling it home. We love our home and the surrounding mountains and communities. Without exaggeration, it is a magical place to live, explore, and spend time.
For personal reasons we've decided to rent our home out long-term, something we haven't done but once. According to HOA requirements, you must sign a minimum 30-day lease, the terms of which are negotiable.
We want your stay here to be magical and memorable. We only ask that you respect our home, neighbors, community, and the pristine natural wonders that surround us in every direction.
If you're interested, please feel free to reach out.
All the best,
Mike K.

Why they chose this property
Our end-unit townhome is in the heart of Colorado's picturesque Rocky Mountains! It is charming, bright, clean, and modernly rustic, and only 20 to 25 minutes from Aspen and Snowmass Mountains.
The townhome is a great value for individuals, couples, or families looking for an extended stay in this majestic and magical mountain paradise.
Contemporary yet comfy, our home features a great room with vaulted ceiling, tons of windows and natural sunlight, gas fireplace, flat screen TVs, and gourmet kitchen with stainless-steel stove, oven, refrigerator, and appliances.
The property is close to every outdoor activity imaginable. It is also close to a variety of nice restaurants and entertainment options. We're located in an award-winning planned community with acres of surrounding green space, trees, walking paths, ponds, and sports fields - all within a minute's walk out the front door.
The master bedroom, great room, and kitchen are located on the second floor (main floor). The master bedroom features a large walk-in closet, tub, enclosed tiled shower with bench seating, and private toilet.
The two guest rooms are on the first level (ground floor), each with its own private bath & shower. The home has views of the surrounding mountains and faces south, allowing for plenty of sunlight and warmth on a typical blue-bird-sky Colorado day.
Lastly, we are literally just a stones throw from the Roaring Fork River and a short five-minute drive to the Gold Medal Frying Pan River. So if you like to enjoy water and river activities like fly fishing, kayaking, or stand-up paddleboarding, you'll love it here.
