Location is one lot from the beach. Lots of amenities like beach chairs, bikes, kids beach toys, kayack outside and shower. Alarms on doors to the pool so are 2 year old does not go out unattended. Maria was very responsive before and throughout the rental.

Perfect Beach House

The home was absolutely beautiful! The decor and furnishings were top notch. The pool area is a tropical paradise and was perfect for a late afternoon swim. The beach was just steps from the home and simple to access.Our hostesses, Maria, was so helpful and welcoming!We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Vero Beach.

This is our second time staying at this beautiful home with our family. It is perfectly laid out for a larger family. Very well appointed. The backyard is beautiful and spacious. The pool is lovely. I just wish the “no see ems” and mosquitos were not also taking advantage of the oasis it is. The house has everything you need for the beach which is a very short walk from the house. We brought our new born grandson this year and the bedrooms are all big enough to accommodate mom and dad and his portable crib. Very quiet neighborhood and beautiful private beach. Maria and her husband are very responsive as hosts. We will definitely be back again.

Best vacation ever

Casa Maria was an amazing 10 day vacation! The home has a great layout with private rooms large enough for our family of 6. Loved the multiple entry and exits through several of the rooms leading to the beautiful grounds at the front and back of the house, particularly those that had pool access. If only it weren't so hot, we could have left them open all day to get the ocean breezes. The convenience of having the beach just steps away was perfect for our older kids, and the pool in the backyard worked better for our 5 year old, as did the pool floaties and life jackets. We've been talking about coming back since the morning we left for the airport last week. Thank you Maria for our much needed time in paradise!

Beautiful property with great location

Our family of 6 had a fantastic week. The house and grounds are stunning with easy access to the private beach as well as being conveniently located to all that Vero Beach has to offer. We had the pleasure of meeting Maria briefly…she is an excellent host who clearly takes pride in the home and grounds. Communication prior to and during our stay was also great.

Wonderful house, location, and host!!!!

Our stay over Labor Day weekend in Vero Beach at Maria’s house was wonderful and relaxing. Starting from the beginning, when we first booked the house, Maria communicated well and answered all the questions we had. She even went so far as going to the house and counting all the boogie boards, beach chairs, etc., to make sure we had enough for everyone in our party (there were more than enough). She was easy to work with, and very fast to respond. When we got to the house, we quickly realized it was even nicer than in the pictures, and closer to the beach than it looks. Literally a two minute walk on a tiny path and you are on the sand, with private beach access. The location was absolutely perfect. And talk about privacy! We felt like we had the beach to ourselves the whole weekend! As for the house, it was perfect. Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Additionally, the outdoor space and pool was shady and a great place to wind down for the evening. The house had a warmth about it, and felt more like home than just a rental. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back, hopefully soon! Thank you for a great stay Maria!!!

Amazing host, safe, beach access, & fun pool

The host is the best I have ever worked with. Arriving late at night was simple. The house was in a safe area, cozy, great pool and a direct path to an amazing isolated beach. This really is a great find. We were in town for baseball at the Jackie Robinson complex which is a nice simple drive. We hated to leave. Great find!

Spring Getaway

The property is definitely a high end property. Very spacious for the 7 of us that stay there. The kids enjoyed the ocean being a short walk, no more than a few minutes. We also enjoyed the pool. Overall I would recommend this property for a classy getaway.

Great springbreak!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time. It was a very quiet beach and the home matched the pictures and the overall description. It was a very nice set up for our family with a great pool and easy access to the beach. We also enjoyed Vero and all the restaurants and shops. Maria was a wonderful host and communicated clearly before and during our stay.

Great rental house in Vero Beach

The home is in an excellent location with very short walk to the beach and a short drive to everything you need. Quiet neighbor which feels very safe. Great kitchen which is well equipped. Owner did great job having house with more than you would expect. Back yard is awesome with beautiful pool. Dog friendly with fenced backyard. Owner super responsive to any small problems that occur. Would definitively rent again.

Best Vero Beach Vacation

Maria’s property and location was perfect. Located right off A1A, close by excellent restaurants, shopping and hotels. Her property was gorgeous surrounded by palms, flowers and lots of privacy. The beach was beautiful and quiet from any large crowds. We had plenty of room for our family and would recommend to all. Trip of a lifetime for us, so many great memories made.

Perfect house!

This house was absolutely amazing and perfect for 6 of us with a couple of young kids. Location, size, amenities….i cannot say enough about how great it was and how much fun we had. The pool was clean and warm, patio was huge and relaxing and the beach is steps away. This is the perfect vacation spot!

Wonderful Beach House

Great location in Vero Beach- quiet neighborhood with a path from the house right to the beach. We had 7 60+ year old women for a college reunion and the property could not have been any better. Loads of room to spread out- 2 full bathroom,1 half and 1 outdoor shower. Backyard area is like out of a magazine! Big washer and dryer. Plenty of towels and beach towels. Perfectly manicured with gorgeous flowers and palms. Lots of patio furniture with 2 hammocks. Girls loved Maria who was so helpful every step of the way. We will be back!

Destination Wedding

Lovely Home Privately located steps from the ocean.

High end home tucked away conveniently located near Vero Beach. Dozens of stores and restaurants located on the island. Plenty to do on property, pool, bicycles, beach chairs, all provided. Maria is easy to work with, greeted us when we arrived, and was flexible every step of the way.

Beautiful property

We can't say enough about this property. It was beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything. Maria was very responsive and sweet. The pool was a great addition when the beach was too hot. The beach was beautiful and relaxing. The house came stocked with beach chairs, paddle board and a canoe. There were bikes if you cared to venture for a tour of the town. We would with out a doubt recommend this place.

Great Beach, Great House!

This property is a true gem - very comfortable, clean and convenient. I was there with my immediate family (4 adults), my 84 year old mom, my sister, and niece. We really enjoyed the common space and the pool area. The beach is about 100 yards down a paved path from the side gate, and there is a nice collection of beach chairs and umbrellas in good to excellent condition. We didn't use the kayak, paddleboard or bikes, but those are available for use. Maria took time out of her week to visit us to make sure everything was perfect. My communications via text message were answered promptly. We rent beach houses at least once a year in Vero Beach to visit with my mom and enjoy some time on the beach, and this was one of the best places we ever rented! As an aside, there was little to no seaweed in the ocean, but a lot of dried seaweed at the high tide line.

I fell in love with Vero Beach in the 1990’s, when I brought my two young boys here from Fort Lauderdale to learn surfing. I liked Vero’s barrier island so much that I sold my medical practice and moved here. Now that the boys are grown up and on their own I love sharing the magic of my Surf Lane home with those who appreciate this very unique part of Florida as much as I.
My early years were spent in an American-staffed International school, followed by medical school, in Colombia. Though my parents were of modest means they managed to make sure all six of us were bilingual by graduation. After Medical Residency in the Panama Canal Zone U.S. Army Hospital I completed my Pediatrics training in Orlando, then practiced Pediatrics for the better part of two decades in south Florida.
I take personal pride in hosting guests at Surf Lane, and enjoy doing everything I can to make their vacations memorably wonderful.

Vero Beach’s barrier island, between the placid Indian River lagoon (inter coastal waterway) and miles of fine sandy beaches on the Atlantic ocean, is very unlike most other parts of Florida – little traffic most of the year, tasteful and carefully planned commercial development (two story limit except for two grandfathered 9 story buildings), tranquil neighborhoods, and almost no souvenir or t-shirt shops. The beach just steps from my Surf Lane home is near a lifeguard station where more than two dozen bathers may only happen during Spring Break.

My Surf Lane vacation home is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a tranquil neighborhood, one home from the ocean. It is close enough to highway A1A to be convenient, but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. The location affords instant private beach access, yet is shielded from constant wind and sea spray, and rents at more economical rates than direct ocean front homes. It is also extremely sturdy, constructed fully to hurricane Code.
