Deer Brook Lake House is a wonderful property that has just been completely renovated. Expansive lake views and the peace and quiet you’ve been looking for! Whether you want to gather with the family around the large kitchen island for a meal or sit on the back patio and enjoy a cup of coffee while gazing at Shawnee Lake which is a wonderful private lake located in Jamestown. The property is 4 mins from Miami Valley hospital, 16 mins from Cedarville University, and 26 mins from Yellow Springs. (No boat rentals lake is private owners only)

So serene and calm and exactly what was needed for a weekend away. Every room was well stocked and each bedroom had fans in the closets as well. Beautiful home and lake with plenty of chances for watching wildlife and others enjoying the lake. Would recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect place to unwind and relax!

We had a wonderful girls reunion weekend at the property. We spent most of our time on the wonderful outdoor furniture, talking, eating and watching the boats on the lake. It was very relaxing and met our expectations. The layout of the house is open and inviting. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs that share one bathroom and a bedroom on the main floor that has its own en-suite bathroom. I mention this because it is nice to know that one bath would need to be shared, so plan accordingly. The beds were a little uncomfortable and the pillows could be updated. It is a “lake” house so I wasn’t expecting it to be as updated as it was. The kitchen was nice with a large industrial size refrigerator. There are minimal restaurants in the area. I would suggest grocery shopping while in a major metropolitan area and plan on making most meals at the VRBO. It is perfect for a relaxing trip. We did not take out the kayaks, though they are available in the garage.

Great location for us. Love Benito's restaurant in Jamestown. Very convenient and has a nice selections of items on the menu. Great mix drinks and the staff is GREAT!!!

Comfy and peaceful stay!

We were visiting Cedarville for graduation and this was a great spot to retreat to. Although the weather was less than cooperative and we didn't get to use the outdoor spaces, everything was great indoors - well stocked and super comfy beds. Plenty of space (bedrooms and bathrooms for all 6 of us)!

Our family was there at a perfect time...great weather! The outdoor space was our favorite but the indoors was beautiful! It's difficult to find a very nice rental home that allows pets. This was very important to us, as we travel with a dog.

Great experience

Host was communicative and took time to ensure we were satisfied. Property was well maintained, well lit at night, beautiful view putside, well appointed inside. Beds some of the most comfortable we have slept in.

Great Spot on the Lake

Us and a group of our friends stayed here for a weekend. It was peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Amazing Stay

This property was a dream come true. It had enough room for 3 couples to have their own bedrooms, as well as a beautiful common space to come together. The lake was a lovely addition. Would recommend!

College Visit with friends

I brought my daughter and three of her friends and one other mom to visit Cedarville University. The location was 15 minutes to the University and a wonderful place to stay. The place was roomy and right off the lake. We will definitely stay again!

A nice little lake house

Overall this is a beautiful property and we enjoyed our stay. We have three small complaints though. 1. No regular size coffee maker 2. Did not list that they had a fire pit. This was desired but we didn’t plan ahead since we didn’t know they had it before we arrived 3. The glass doors were a bit of a pain in the morning Besides that we had a wonderful stay and very much enjoyed this Verbo.

Family Wedding

The property was as advertised. Located in a beautiful community with wonderful views of the lake. Spacious with great gathering area. Plenty of space for our family of seven.
