This property was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we got to the property, I knew this was going to be a special place. There was everything you could have asked for in a friend gathering and would go back in a heartbeat if I have the opportunity!
Beautiful property and lake access was great. Perfect for our 32 family members plus some day drop ins.Close to town.

Great for Family Reunions
This was a great house for our family reunion. We had a lot of families, and it housed us very well. Location is great. Being on the lake is fantastic. The master suite is amazing.
The house is well loved and well used, but with that said, it worked great for us.

The Castle
First off, I want to say how wonderful Julie was! Helpful and kind in trying to help us with the issues we encountered.
The house had space for all of us to be comfortable, and the view was spectacular! But, there were a lot of problems. The main backdoors handle was just about off, and wouldn't lock, 2 coffee pots..only one worked, 2 ovens..only one worked, in the master, there were 6 stairs to get up to the bathroom with NO handrails! My husband is 83 and it was difficult. Also, there was no safety railing around the patio, which had a 3-4 ft drop in places. Lastly, the beautiful windows, which ran across the back of the house, were filthy. If these problems were addressed, this truly would be “A Castle.”
Fantastic sprawling house with enough room for a family reunion. Plenty of dishes and cookware for dining in. There were not enough towels for everyone to shower. Hand soap was provided, but no soap/body wash or shampoo for the showers/baths. We were told there were 2 washers and 2 dryers for laundry but found only one set hooked up. Another set was there but not hooked up to anything. Getting windows and doors to open and then latch closed is tricky. Despite those minor issues, we would definitely have another group stay.

Very Good
We really enjoyed our stay at this unit. We have been going there every other year for the last 10 years and our family will not go any where else. The only negative comment we would have would be about the declining maintenance of the facility. It needs extended help in this regards. Examples: windows do not work right, the ovens do not work properly, sink drains need cleaning, and the internet is very weak. Positive thing; the addition of additional beds downstairs are very helpful. Comment - A wall at the bottom of the stairs would isolate this lower area and make it another bunk type room. Those that slept down there would like to have more privacy. Thanks for a great stay - we will be back again.

Excellent
Absolutely beautiful property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Julie, the property manager, is fantastic. She took great care of us! We love the hot tub with the unobstructed view of the lake. The kitchen was fabulous and we loved watching movies down in the theater room. We will definitely be back!

Good
the cabin itself is wonderful, but has not been maintained very well. The TV in the theater room never did work. Some of the TV's in bedrooms did not work and there is no TV in the master. We didn't have wifi for several days. There is no railing around the outside patio that has a 4 foot drop. Our daughter fell of and hurt her foot and back. One of the ovens did not work. There were a lot of burned out light bulbs. our family loved it. They had plenty of room. The kitchen is wonderful. We would love to come back next year if we could know these items would be fixed.
We really enjoyed this property. It is truly like a castle. We rented a boat and everyone was able to load and unload from the property (they had to wade in about chest high water due to low water levels in Bear Lake). The hot tub was operational. The rooms were comfortable. The kitchen was perfect and there was plenty of seating in the common area. The internet was really bad and cell reception was also a challenge. So, if you are planning to watch movies, you may want to bring DVDs. Parents with babies in our group didn't like the marble stairs.
The property was a great venue for hosting a large family vacation. The property is spacious and provided enough room for lots of family activities (e.g. games, corn hole, outside picnic benches). The kitchen was wonderful -- really appreciated the fact that there were more than enough plates, utensils, glasses, etc. AND that there were three dishwashers on site. Everyone had a great time being together in one place. Thank you.
