Bring the whole family and friends to this great place with lots of room for fun. 28698 MN-107, Brook Park, MN is a specious and relaxing cabin with sauna on a 40 acres property just 1 hour North from Minneapolis. Cabin has total of 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. The main floor has spacious living room and kitchen, 3 bedrooms including master bedroom with a ¾ bath, and a full bath. The walkout basement has a very large bedroom, family room, and a very specious sauna. Cabin has a very large deck.

Great experience that I would recommend to all!

While there was difficulty initially getting into the building, afterwards there were no concerns! The place was clean and to our liking. This was many of our first times using a sauna and we would definitely come back in the future!

Bridesmaids

We used this as our bridesmaids suite for a wedding in Mora! It was picture perfect for photos of the dresses in the living room. I brought extra mirrors and the girls could get ready at the dining room table. It was spacious and pretty tucked in the woods. One girl used the sauna and loved it! The rest of us didn’t have time. But we 5/5 highly recommend!

Recent stay at Brook Park.

Stay was good. It’s a large home. My complaints would be we had to knock down a hornets nest on the back deck. Also it’s very weedy around the property. Just tons of bees and wasps around outside in the tall weeds. I’m highly allergic along with another guest so taking care of that wasn’t fun.

Amazing Stay!

The photos don't do this place justice!! The cabin was beautiful and huge. the owner was amazing and quick to respond. He even called to tell us that he would be busy from a certain time and that if we needed anything, he'll get back to us asap. Check-in process was easy and so was the checkout. The owner even gave us a late check out even without us asking. The cabin is huge and accommodated our group of 13 adults comfortably. The sauna was a nice treat. The showers in the cabin were awesome. I would say our own complaint would be that the place could use more cooking utensils/ pots/ pans but our group came prepared and had brought our own. We were the first group to book this place so its understandable that they were a few things missing. We loved the place and cant wait to book this beautiful cabin again in the summertime.

House needsfine tuning

The overall house was nice, but lots of little things need attention and some replacement. Toaster does not stay down, shock pot does not open, can opener is pretty worthless. Pots and baking pans old and rusty, along with some of the cooking utensils. The hanging table bolts were loose and actually one fell out the first night - we needed to fix so the table would not fall. Many benches and chairs had loose screws, and were ot stable furniture. Ants in the kitchen were a pain. Beds very squeeky, but mattresses are nice. Outdoor space not trimmed bavk for a VERY LONG TIME and really needs to be attended to - this made that outdoor space really pretty unusable. Patio chairs downstairs filthy and a lot of work to clean - we gave up! And spraying outside for masquitos and such would be helpful. If these items would be addressed it would be a much better stay and more desirable.

Worst stay ever! Wedding nightmare!!

I was excited to stay at this property as the photos look great and it was close to our wedding venue. We booked this so my wedding party and I could stay in the night before my wedding and the weekend of the wedding. To start there were MANY wasp / hornet nests all throughout the house and under the deck. I wish we would have been informed of this because myself and other wedding party members are deathly allergic to their stings. I didn't want to be put in the hospital the night before my wedding either. We couldn't really enjoy the outside due to this. The absolute WORST part of this experience is that we had no running hot water the night before my wedding. We all got back from rehearsal and wanted to shower before the big event and we literally could not. I did try and it was like a polar plunge. Someone could have gotten hypothermia. Instead I had to spend money to rent a hotel room for a night so we could all go and shower elsewhere. The whole point of staying here was so we could all stay together and we didn't even get to spend our night together in peace. Instead we were on the phone all night with the property manager who was incredibly rude and sexist. When we asked what we can look for on the water heater to see if it's working he replied with "is there a man in the house I can speak with." My sister is an engineer and was there and more than capable to help us. I found it so distasteful and rude. They did not fix the issue and we had to shower elsewhere. 0/10

Thank you for your review. We got a call at 9.26 pm with you yelling that you didn't have hot water and using a lot f words. We are very sorry that the water heater broke. We have contacted the plumber immediately and plumber came in at 8 am and replaced the water heater. Regarding wasps, the property is located in the woods. It is treated regularly by pest control and there are wasp traps around the property. We are very sorry that we couldn't replace the water heater at night.

Family Gathering

The home is spacious and lovely. The big issue we had was that there were mice in the home. Management was responsive so I am sure they have now taken care of the issue. There were no hot pads in the kitchen.

outside amenities

The house was beautiful and very clean and met all our needs. We truly wanted this to be a true getaway so the large TV's were not that important to us. We never turned them on. However, we were disappointed with the outdoor areas. No seating on the deck and ill kept fire pit. There were several old chairs around the fire pit including an office chair with a torn seat, a fold up chair and some other chairs that one could not sit in. The area looked like a junk yard. Luckily we all brought along our own chairs to sit around the campfire. There was a rusted shovel, rake, and ax laying around the fire pit and the weeds were not trimmed around the area. Also no fire wood was provided. We were told this before and brought our own wood but it is a hassle to pack a car with wood when going to a place as advertised in the woods. For the price of the cabin, we did expect that some wood would be provided. Also I am not sure why it is advertised as having a sauna when it was locked and we never received instructions on how to open door. I know that we could have texted the owner for instructions but it was not a priority for our stay. Also were never told that house is close to a highway and road noise is an issue. There were also no trails to walk on and the only option was either to walk along a highway or go by car to a hiking area. Check out time is 10am. It would be nice if that time could be pushed up an hour. It was a marathon to have breakfast, pack up our food and belongings and do the necessary chores to clean up. On the positive side, we had quick response from the owner to our questions before arrival. The house is beautiful and there were enough beds that none of us had to climb into a top bunk. I really do not want to write this as a review that is posted but rather some suggestions for the owners that may improve the property and experience. Thank you

Brook Park August 2022

Cleanliness was poor. There were large clumps of hair on the walls of two of the showers. This made our female guests very uncomfortable and the only shower they found usable was in the master bedroom. The deck was unusable due to swarms of yellow jackets coming up through the floor if you walked on it.

Everything we needed!

We had a great time at this property! Communication with the owner was clear and prompt. The house was clean and had enough space for all nine of us. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a little getaway that's not too far from the cities.

Clean and Good Communication

The property was clean and well updated. Everything was stocked functional and straight forward. We had one minor issue with the house that seemed to be clearly the result of prior guests and outside of what could be identified by good maintenance of the manger. The manager was very helpful went above and beyond offering partial refund for the stay.

Overall Great Space with room for improvement

My family enjoyed our stay here tremendously. It was unfortunate that the nicer bathroom was out of order as 2 of our guests were 70+. Overall it was a great stay but could use a few more things and attention to more details. The host was very nice and communication was great!
