A stone’s throw from the Bluff Trail and the ocean and a short walk to Pebble and Black Point Beaches and the Sea Ranch Lodge. Located on a quite, dead-end street far from the highway. Recently enhanced with skylights, new hot tub and deck, wine cooler, appliances, carpet, furniture, granite countertops, custom decorator touches and lots more. High Speed Wireless access, computer and iPod ready surround sound system!! Bring your work and all your tunes and stay an extra week.

The Sea Ranch is internationally known and revered for its attempt to blend man-made structures with their natural setting. This most picturesque area of California, 100 miles north of San Francisco dotted with distinctive homes, spreads for about ten miles on either side of Highway One in the coastal Sonoma County. The building design is unique in its architecture, and the challenge to 'live lightly on the land' is on-going.

With three swimming pools, saunas, tennis courts, a 18-hole championship golf course, and 45 miles of hiking trails that meander along the coastal cliffs, through meadows and forests, there is no shortage of outdoor activity for your Sea Ranch vacation. And after a hard day of having fun, soak in the spa, have a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset over the ocean.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Dates will remain available until the Owner receives 50% (percent) of the total rental fee plus applicable taxes (hereafter referred to as the Deposit). The remaining balance is due 15 days prior to occupancy. Should you wish to cancel your reservation, notice of cancellation must be in writing or via email. Cancellation requests received 30 days or more prior to arrival date will incur a $20.00 booking fee and remaining Deposit will be refunded. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to occupancy and we are unable to re-rent the home for the same dates, no refund will be provided and all monies paid by guest will be forfeited to the Owner. Reservations made less than 15 days prior to occupancy will require the full amount paid by credit card.

What makes this house unique

A four mile hike to Two Fish Bakery is definitely on the agenda to start each morning. The hike begins after stepping out the front door and into the coastal meadow which surrounds house. Slowly the pounding of the surf receeds as you make your way from the ocean and into the trees and up the ridge. Tall redwoods tower over head while ferns blanket the ground. Once conquering the ridge, a well-deserved sticky buns awaits at Two Fish and pleasant downhill walk home.

We really appreciate all of the attention to details that you and your wife obviously went through to make stays here enjoyable and comfortable. I have rented vacation houses for many years and can honestly say that your house is one of the best that I have encountered. Not only are the accommodations, furnishings and amenities nice, clean and comfortable, but all the little "homey" furnishings scattered around make your place feel very welcoming. The binder with all of the information is just amazing. I have never seen anything as well organized and instructive as that in a vacation rental. I mean, you even had instructions on use to use the light switches! The kitchen is well stocked with everything one needs to cook. One little suggestion is that it would have been nice if you had a dish drying rack available. We don't always like to use the dishwasher, especially when something just needs rinsing, so we hand washed quite a few things everyday and placed them on a towel on the counter top.

  • King size beds (1) Both bedrooms have king beds. The master bed is probably the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep on., Sleep Sofa or Futons (1) The couch in the living room has a queen sleeper. Definitely not in the same league as the master bedroom's bed but OK for children.

Just what we wanted

Perfect size for the two of us, though it would have been comfortable for 4 as well. Everything we needed was there. All the equipment was pretty self-explanatory, but there were lots of instructions printed out as well. A decent location with ready access to the Bluff Trail

We had all we needed. The manager was responsive and helpful. The house was clean and comfortable. The sliding glass door to the patio needs to be fixed or replaced.

Sea Ranch Serenity

We spent five nights at this property at Sea Ranch and were extremely pleased with our experience in dealing with Keith, the home's owner, as well as with the home itself.

The home is a roomy light and airy two-bedroom two bath and is comfortably furnished and very clean. The living room has a wall of windows looking out onto nice decking for entertaining or al fresco dining overlooking a meadow setting where deer where abundant -- the kitchen and bedroom windows all offer views of the ocean just beyond the neighboring homes in the near distance. The house has central heat if you need it -- and a nice fireplace with firewood and fire starters supplied --

The bedrooms both had king-sized beds with feather pillows which were exceedingly comfortable -- with both offering adjoining bathrooms. There is a bath tub in one bathroom and a shower in each -- with bath linens and body soaps provided in both -- and even a couple of plush robes for potential use after lounging in the outdoor hot tub.

The house has pretty much everything you could want -- even the kitchen was well-equipped with a nice gas stove and a full-sized fridge. There were plenty of dishes and small appliances so there is no need to "over-pack" and bring items that you would normally find at home. There is even a wine fridge. Even if you forget or decide you want something to supplement your culinary needs the house is located within a short easy driving distance to Gualala to buy food and beverage items you may want. We liked the Surf Supermarket right on Hwy 1 -- well supplied with lots of gourmet treats and vintages.

The property is ideally and centrally located within the Sea Ranch for accessing the walking trails that lead to the bluff trails and beaches and to the amenities offered such as the pool; tennis courts; golf course and the Sea Ranch Lodge and restaurants.

Keith has provided a comprehensive binder for visitors that contains info on local activities; day-trips and other helpful guidance to enhance your stay at the house -- and if you are bringing your dog -- he even has provided towels to dry your pet after a trip to the beach. Pebble Beach is the closest and our dog loved the area there. There is lots of wildlife in close proximity to the house -- so keep an close eye on your dog when taking them out to relieve especially after dark.

Relaxing

We came up for a quick trip and really enjoyed the stay. The house is perfect and has everything you need. The owners have everything labeled and organized, which makes for an easy trip. The location is a couple minute walk to the water and trails, and you're about a 10 minute drive to Gualala. Thanks for a great two day getaway!

Awesome vacation place!

My husband and I brought our daughter and her husband and their daughter out on vacation with us, decided to try staying in a house for the first time. So glad we did! Walked along the coast every morning! Drove up and down the coast and over the mountain! All just so beautiful! Wonderful to come home every night and drink wine while sitting in the hot tub! Love the privacy of this place! The house was a little dated but clean! Kitchen was a wonderful surprise! Would definitely stay again if we're in the area!
