This house was perfect for our family. The setting was beautiful with a lovely deck to view the ocean below. Our hostess couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property.
We had such an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Just a short drive to town, great hikes and my favorite Fort Casey. The house had everything we needed and Patte could not have been more hospitable. She had suggestions on what to do and where to go and was absolutely lovely! Sitting on the porch was amazing!! I love all kinds of animals and from the porch we saw so many different birds and sea life. I would absolutely come back here and I highly recommend it.
This rental far surpassed both the pictures online and my expectations! My husband and I, along with two of our adult children and their significant others, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is beautifully furnished, and attention has been paid to every detail. We could actually cook great meals in this kitchen because it was outfitted with every utensil and pan that you would ever need! Landlady Patte provided us with fresh eggs from her farm, tips on how to gather mussels, and ideas of fun places to visit on the island. We loved sightseeing on Whidbey Island, but loved coming back to this house with its fabulous deck and view even more!
Bakerview Beach House is the perfect Whidbey Island retreat. Five of us were very comfortable there; the house was immaculate, well appointed, and beautifully furnished. The view across the water to Camano and Mt. Baker on the mainland is exceptional, especially from the wide, deep deck across the front of the house. Patte could not have been a more helpful, generous host.
Patte, thank you for making this house available to us. Bakerview Beach House is an absolutely beautiful place to enjoy a girls weekend. The house was immaculate and supplied everything that we needed. With 4 ladies sharing, it was wonderful to have 2 complete bathrooms. One of us used the steam shower and raved about it! While there is a large dining room table, the breakfast bar was where we chose to share meals. Beautiful views, large deck space, easy access to beach (if you are okay with stairs), room to sprawl, very comfortable beds, parking within a few steps of the door, quiet neighbourhood, central location on Whidbey Island ... the list goes on. Having travelled with very elderly parents, I am always checking accessibility features. Being that everything is on one level (unless one wants to go to the beach), I found that this would be a perfect destination. I would definitely book this VRBO again.
We absolutely loved our stay at Bakerview Beach House. The house was clean and well stocked. Patte was a delight to work with and went above and beyond by helping us with crabbing and clamming as well as pointing us in the right direction for fun day trips. Our family traveled with my parents who wanted a comfortable place to sit while the kids explored the beach and they watched the water and birds. The location and deck at Bakerview Beach House was exactly what they asked for.
As we've looked back over out photos from our vacation we have been left with one thought. When can we visit again?
