Just 3 km from the medieval city of Carcassonne, this cottage welcomes you for an authentic stay in the heart of Cathar Country. Ideally located in a charming village, it allows you to discover the region's treasures: Cathar castles, walks along the Canal du Midi, hikes in the Montagne Noire, and swimming and water sports just 6 km away. The sea is about an hour's drive away. This renovated family home combines charm and comfort to offer you a pleasant and relaxing setting. It is attached to the owner's house: attentive and discreet, she will ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible and will welcome you warmly. Entirely on one level (one step to access the kitchen), it features a large enclosed courtyard-terrace of approximately 70 m², facing south, to fully enjoy the mild Occitan evenings. Inside, the cottage includes: _An entrance hall with a closet leading to all rooms, _A bright living room with a sitting area and a dining area, _A fully equipped kitchen (hob, extractor hood, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine), _A bedroom with a double bed, _A bedroom with two single beds, _A bathroom with a toilet. Outside: a large, fenced, flower-filled terrace with garden furniture, a barbecue, and a secure garage for your vehicle. Electric heating is available at an additional cost. Stay in the heart of the old village of Berriac, in a haven of peace at the gates of Carcassonne.
