Spring Training

This place was ideal for what I was looking for. A clean place in a quite location near the Detroit Tigers Spring Training facility. It is only 6 miles from the facility and you can take the back roads to get there. If you are looking to come down for next Spring I highly recommend this VRBO.

Perfect for our needs

Apartment in a suburban neighborhood that felt very safe with polite friendly neighbors.Taco van just down the road is great and close to shops and Lakeland center. Everything worked in the apartment with great internet and everything nice and clean.Welcome baskets in bathroom a nice touch with some nice body wash, but as with all VRBO apartments they can show signs of age.Host had great communication and although the bed wasn’t like a 4 star hotel it was good enough to get a good nights sleep.Would return in a heartbeat as it suited us perfectly.

this place was very clean lots of room. we rented to get away from mobile home during hurricane. the electric went out but we luckily had flashlights and lunchmeat and bread lol

Tampa Trip

We arrived and questioned the state of the neighborhood as we were not familiar with the area. The outside of the 4 unit home looked ok. You can tell there has been some good effort on the inside of the rental. Newer floors and paint throughout. The leather couch was pretty rough and peeling which we put a blanket over to be able to sit on it. The front door latch was less than secure and looked as if it had been kicked in at some point. We baracaded the door for safety at night because of this. The rest of the condo was fine but with small details that needed attention. Missing trim here, missing outlet cover there, tub spout not properly installed etc.

Needs repairs

1. Window in guest bedroom was out of its frame, leaning on the other pane and fully opened when we arrived. The frame is broken, the window easily removed allowing anyone or anything to enter premises.2. Generally very dirty. We changed the filthy air filter. Grime on cabinets, dishes, pots and utensils had crusted food on them. Dust everywhere. Vents crusted with grime. Light switches, door handles and door surfaces coated with dusty, oily dirt.3. Next door is regularly visited by a probation officer. Resident had loud music playing and when requested to turn it down, refused, cursed me repeatedly, and made vile gestures.4. Vinyl siding is coming off the back. There is a large wooden area exposed to the elements and looks to be wet. There is a water-mark and bulge in the ceiling of the main bedroom.5. The 35-gallon water tank is on a wooden shelf, no other support. It is in an overflow tray filled with water. There is a spout from the tray that opens over the dryer, we saw no floor drain (perhaps there is a drain under the washer/dryer?).6. Many pieces of furniture need maintenance. We tightened the bolts on the dining table and table in the guest bedroom. One leg of the coffee table is broken. The bathroom door to the hall bathroom is drooping in its frame. The screws holding to the frame are stripped. 7. Called and texted the host 4 times, he is in CA, the property is in FL, he responded twice

This host was flexible with us and kept our family and pets together through an emergency repair in our home. We are extremely grateful for everything this host did for us!
