Cottage "1st Lake” is a charming two-bedroom, waterfront cabin that sleeps up to four people. The main bedroom features comfy queen-size bed, while the second bedroom offers a cozy twin over twin bunk bed. Every detail has been meticulously crafted for your comfort.

Inside, you'll be greeted by beautiful pine throughout, soaring cathedral ceilings, and a propane fireplace encased in stone. The open concept kitchen and living room create a welcoming space, complemented by a full bath with beautifully tiled shower. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, microwave), cups, plates, cookware, serving dishes, utensils, grilling tools, a drip coffee pot, and a toaster. A well-appointed kitchen nook doubles as a dedicated workspace if you need to work remotely. For added comfort, the cottage is equipped with ceiling fans, A/C and Heat, excellent Wifi and a smart TV! The rustic and elegant Adirondack-style decor completes the look of this inviting cottage.

Outside, you'll find a charcoal grill, a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack log-style chairs, and a picnic table. Firewood is available on the property for purchase.

Complementary kayaks, canoes and SUP are available on the first come first serve basis and are just steps from the cottage.

Lake front escape

The cabin was perfect very clean the location was great. The best part is they also rent a boat right there and we also got to kayak and canoe highly recommend and we will definitely be back

family vacation

We had a multiple family vacation using 3 total cabins. It was great to have separate space away, the cabins, as well as the decks with tables and chairs to hang out all together! The kids favorite part of staying was the kids kayaks and swimming area! The owners are great people and we enjoyed talking with them as well. We look forward to staying here again!!

Modern ADK

Great property and location! Very clean and cozy for 2 people. Loved that it was updated and modern with an ADK vibe. Hollywood Rd is the perfect road to drive along for beautiful lake and fall leaf viewing. Quick, easy drive to all the shops and restaurants in town. Would be helpful to post a map of the property on the listing with each cabin location so that you know which view you’re getting before booking. #1 and #2 are closest to the lake with good views.

If you are looking for an ADK getaway to indulge in swimming, hiking, boating, fishing, kayaking, snowmobiling, skiing or just simply relaxing, you have come to the right place! Our waterfront oasis offers upscale accommodations in the most beautiful setting! Our cottages, previously known as The Narrows Cottages of Old Forge, have a long history of families and friends vacationing here year after year, generations after generations for well over 50 years!

What makes this property unique

The Lakes is located on the First Lake Channel, also called the Narrows, which connects to First Lake and Old Forge Pond and various channels that link to several lakes on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, shopping or just sit back and experience the peace and quiet that surrounds you. The Lakes is just minutes to the Old Forge Public Beach, Water Safari, tennis courts, boat tours, churches, grocery stores, coffee shop, quaint gift shops, movie theater, arcade, miniature golf, and the community art center. Many within a walking distance! Not to mention excellent restaurants, hiking trails, lakes and ponds for fishing that are also nearby.

Also in the area are championship 18-hole golf courses: Thendara and Inlet. The McCauley Mountain chairlift and picnic area has a spectacular view of the village of Old Forge and the Fulton Chain of Lakes.
