AMAZING property !! The absolute nicest home I have ever rented - immaculate, top of the line furnishings, private beach and a deck to die for. Spent two weeks to celebrate our retirements and it was the perfect venue to decompress. Lubec and West Quoddy about an hour east, Acadia and Bar Harbor about 1.5 hours west. I enjoyed watching the lobster boats come into the harbor daily. The locals were extremely welcoming and friendly. Absolute perfection !! Thank you Susan and George !!

The Sea Duck cottage was an amazing place for us and our family, including one married couple and four other adult “kids”. We did lots of hiking, family meals at the cottage, late night movies, and beach combing for sea glass. We’ll treasure the memories for a lifetime, George and Susan, thank you! Absolutely beautiful property along the water that we hardly left because would be tougher to find a nicer view elsewhere! Although somewhat isolated, provided peace and quiet broken up occasionally by the lobster boats. Lucky to find after a last minute cancellation by Coastal Maine Getaways in York (which I would recommend against). Two thumbs up, however, for Sea Duck Cottage!!

This rental is an immaculate property with stunning ocean views. The house is very clean, orderly, thoughtful in detail, well-equipped for all of your needs. The house is situated in a private, secluded area with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, sunrises, sunsets, and the local lobsterman. This pl ace was amazing. Very clean and had all the cooking necessities plus more. The washer and dryer was a big plus as there were seven of us. It was nice to get away to small villages. Waking up to the sunrises and lobster boats going out was so serene. Our three grandchildren loved the beach. We had such a wonderful time. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Completely enjoyed our time in Jonesport! Beachcombing every morning, watching the lobstermen and the ducks, eagles and seals. Very comfortable house, owner is VERY accessible to answer questions. Got fresh lobsters one night from the local co-op, Fresh crab and scallops from Guptill’s and some extra to take home. We hope to return when we have a little more time to explore, and hopefully a little less fog. Thanks again

We’re seasoned travelers and owners of multiple vacation properties. This property was exceptional and unlike any place we have stayed in the past. The home was immaculate. The views were spectacular. It’s rare to find a property with a private beach but that’s exactly what we had! What made this exceptional was the location. The town of Jonesport is magical; it’s such a scenic and authentic fishing village. The town folk could not be nicer! Moosabec Mussels and Look Lobster companies provide some of the best fresh shellfish you can imagine. Susan’s home has everything to cook amazing meals in her gourmet kitchen. Other touches like Dolby surround audio for the tv’s, an ocean front fire pit and a glorious sun room make this home so top notch. Our Siberian Husky was in heaven exploring the beach and the forrest. Susan was an exceptional host and this was one of our favorite trips ever!

A very special place with views galore and wonderful amenities. We'd come again in a heartbeat.

The owners thought of every thing to make your stay a wonderful experience. From books, to lawn games. To picnic items, marshmallow sticks, as well as home items. The views of lobster boats, the tides going in and out, granite rock islands and formations plus birds are incredible.(An eagle flew by one day) Not a beach to access, it's only visible during low tide and below a seawall, but there's some nearby. Loved going to sleep listening to the buoy bells. Great comfort lots with of information provided to explore. Jonesport is a working lobster town and what some may say is the real Maine. We loved it here.Nothing but high five for our stay.

HEAVEN

This property checked all boxes. I was worried at first if it would be kid friendly, as we have a 13, 11, 11 and 9 year old, and if we would find enough to do in the area. Both worries were unnecessary. First, the property itself was incredible, the views are second to none, a private beach to hunt for sea treasures, a firepit for smores, the master bed was dreamy, the kitchen made it fun to cook in, washer and dryer, so we could catch up on laundry.My favorite room was the front sun room. I camped out in here for many hours, drinking coffee, watching the lobster boats, even got up at 4am to see an incredible sunrise. I set up my laptop and was able to work, with excellent wifi, watching the ocean. Even a few days of seals playing in the harbor. The property was private and secluded.As far as the town of Jonesport, we absolutely loved it. Looking for lobster, go visit Garet on Beals Island at Barney Cove Lobster Co. The island had a few hiking trails we explored. We drove one day up to Lubec and crossed over into Canada, go at low tide so you can walk to the lighthouse. And dont forget the Quoddy Head Light House.If you are on the fence about this property, BOOK IT!!!!!

Kelley Point Made For A Perfect 60th Birthday!

Bald eagles, blueberry pie, Bayview Takeout's unbelievable lobster rolls, all from the most beautiful setting you can imagine. The photos of the view and especially the interior of Kelley Point don't do it justice. The kitchen is gorgeous, spotless, and has all the amenities you'd want. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and are separated in opposite wings for privacy. People in Jonesport are friendly, offering a friendly wave from their pick-ups, great chats in Manaford's, the local market, and be sure to ask Frank at the Bayview Takeout how he started his business. Kelley Point is also a great home base for trips into Machias for the annual Blueberry Festival as well as St. Andrews By The Sea in New Brunswick. Don't forget your passport because you don't want to miss Wolfhead Smokers' great deals on slabs of amazing smoked salmon or the cocktails on the porch of the Algonquin Hotel. The deck is the perfect viewing platform for birdwatching and watching lobsterman haul in their traps, and the beach at low tide is great for sea glass searching--I found a highly prized blue "mermaid's tear" on our last night. Lauri has thoughtfully installed a stairway that makes it easy to get to the beach. A perfect vacation in a perfect location--and we've reserved the same week already for next year.

AMAZING!!

The reviews do not even come close to how amazing this property is. From the view to the great host to the extra amenities provided, this house was incredible. We really did not want to have to go home! The three bedrooms were perfect for our two teens and us. We loved walking on the beach at low tide, which was for a much longer amount of time than we anticipated. The location is peaceful and quiet, but within 1 hour of lots of great hiking, swimming and other fun. We hiked at Quoddy Head State Park, Tunk Mountain, Acadia National Park and Great Wass Island Nature Conservancy. We swam & snorkeled at Spring River Lake, Tunk Lake and Donnell Pond. My son reported that Tunk Lake had the most abundant fish and clearest water. My husband and I wine tasted at Catherine Hill while the teens enjoyed yummy chocolate cake. I biked the Sunrise Trail. We enjoyed dinners on the screened porch, which was perfect given the mosquitos in Maine! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves with fresh, cool air coming through the windows was beyond relaxing. Overall, this property truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you Lauri & Dax for a relaxing way to end our summer and escape Covid craziness.

Beautiful well-kept property located on the ocean front. Peacefull and tranquil with all the luxuries and items one could ask for. The host was attentive, easy to reach and great to work with. Property Exceeded Expectations!

After a long drive from Pennsylvania we were immediately impressed with Sea Duck Cottage and the beautiful landscaping. The home is impeccably clean and very comfortable. But the highlight of the stay was the spectacular view from the deck. Our host, Susan was very attentive and quickly responded to the few inquiries we had. The secluded location made for a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing vacation.

A beautiful home in a beautiful location! Secluded and quiet with a truly amazing view. My wife and I along with 3 adult children and our 2 black labs spent a very relaxing week. No excursions, just a relaxing week away. Each morning was a unique experience. A perfect sunrise, fog lifting slowly as the islands come into view, lobster boats pulling up pods right in front of you, and the views of the changing tide. A great place to relieve the stress and unwind. No hustle and bustle of a crowded beach. Just long strolls with the dogs during low tide walking in the chilly yet refreshing water ankle deep. Fresh seafood cooked at home each night. Lobsters from Look Lobster, Mussels from Mossabec Mussels, steamers from Atlantic shellfish, and of course we had to try the local Pizza from Jonesport Pizza. All recommended by owners Lauri and Dax. Lauri, Dax, their dog Teddy as well as for all of the people in Jonesport could not have been nicer or more accommodating. This is our second summer in a row staying here. It’s a very long drive for us with a young child and worth every minute of it. The house is just perfect—comfortable, clean, great kitchen—all with a focus on the ocean view. There are steps to the beach and then a short rocky patch to walk over before a flat beach that is very private you can walk at high tide. Both summers our child said they wanted to live there forever. Lauri and Dax are fantastic hosts and know the area well. We had a mix of fog and sun, and loved relaxing at the house in all of it. Hope to see you again soon Lauri and Dax!!!

Wonderful location and views!

Beautiful location. Clean and spacious property. Owners were great both before and during stay. House is not yet listed on maps but directions are clear. Maybe a little more remote than we were expecting based on previous visit to Maine but even local grocery store/pizza place had great food. We cooked most nights. Modern TVs in each room was great for kids. Fire pit nice in evenings. We hired 2 kayaks. Need at least 2 adults to get up and down steps to beach but fabulous exploring nearby islands. Great local boat cruise too. Highly recommended.

Ideal vacation home

We had a wonderful vacation at this property! It's a beautiful home in a perfect setting. It was immaculately clean, and had extra amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable, such as outdoor games, books, etc. The owners are very accessible and friendly, and responded promptly to every question. I can't recommend this property highly enough.

Amazing!

We loved our stay at Lauri’s house. It was even better than the pictures and I can see why people return for another stay. Acadia was 1 hour 30 minutes from the house, we went 3 times, but really enjoyed relaxing at the house as well. We loved messing around on the beach at low tide - looking for rocks, shells, creatures and playing in the sand. Jonesport was small with only a couple of places to get groceries or eat. Beals and Great Wass island nearby are fun to check out. There are updates to the house that were not pictured: all 3 bedrooms have beds and a brand new, beautiful, screened in porch off the master. Beds were comfortable. Blackout curtains were a nice touch. Flowers were amazing. Towels were new and soft. New TVs and great working Wifi. Kitchen was well equipped. Cooking lobster outside in the propane boiling pot was great fun (6 lobsters for about $55, right off the dock in Jonesport- Look lobster). Lauri provides more than typical VRBO properties (toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels) which was much appreciated. Don’t hesitate to book this property- it’s a hidden gem!
