Home away from home

My family and I really enjoyed this place. The house is very peaceful the neighborhood is quite nice and the location is super convenient. The owners were very helpful check in and check out was a breeze

Ashley and her family were probably in the top 5 of ‘Cleanest guests of all time.’ We walked in after their stay, of more than a month, and our home was in better shape than we gave it to them. Would be more than happy to host Ashley again.

Great VRBO!!

We had to stay for 5 weeks for medical issue at MD Anderson - which was 7 minutes away - owners are extremely accommodating and thoughtful - very well received and a pleasure to work with - we will be back for longer term

Amazing house in a great location

The house was large a spacious and the owners were very responsive. Its located very close to Hermann park and next to the Brays Bayou trail. I was able to ride my bike to treatment at MDAnderson via the trail which was a huge bonus.

Headline: Undisclosed second guest, and security problemsLate one night, two people knocked on our back door. One of them told us he was staying on the property and asked us to move our car so he could pull into the garage. The host had never told us another guest would be there. We booked a month for private use of the gated grounds because we travel with two dogs, and we would not have booked had we known.When I raised it with the host, he confirmed there was another guest in the townhome. We were not told this before or during booking, and we had no warning that someone would be coming and going or asking us to rearrange our own parking.The property also was not as secure as a gated listing suggests. The front gate does not latch, so even though we were given an entry code, the code did nothing to keep anyone out. The back door was close to falling off. With strangers now on the property at night, both of these mattered.Our dogs reacted to the unfamiliar people. The next morning the host sent us a complaint about overnight barking. The cause was the undisclosed second guest, not the dogs.To the host’s credit, once I explained the problem he agreed the stay was not a good fit and refunded us in full. We left within two days.If you are booking this property, ask the host directly whether other guests or units share the grounds, and get the answer in writing. For anyone traveling with pets or who needs real privacy, this matters a lot.

Great stay in Houston

We had a great stay at this property in Houston. House exactly as described and as pictured. Close to all the attractions and walkable to Hermann Park. Joy & Gerald were very accommodating and helpful. They worked with us on a short notice booking. Would definitely stay there again when we have the chance.

First of all, the host was fantastic—very thoughtful and helpful in every way. Any issues we had were promptly addressed. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. We brought our dog, and the fenced yard was a huge plus. The home was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. I was a patient at MD Anderson, and the proximity to the hospital was ideal. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient stay in Houston.

The perfect place for MD Anderson

Our stay here was great. The hosts were very attentive and didn't discriminate against my dog for his breed, which I very much appreciated. It was one less stressor during a very stressful time. The house was huge and gorgeous. Great natural sunlight, especially in the evening which I really liked.Being so close to Herman park was really nice. It's the nicest park I've ever been to. We made it through hurricane Beryl in this house and it was safe. We would rent from here again if we had to!

Sunny home in Houston

We were in Houston for treatment at MD Anderson. We stayed in his home for 85 days. It’s hard to be away from home for that long by but this house was perfect for our stay and made it much more bearable. The house is clean, spacious, roomy and very comfortable. It also has a fenced yard. It has dedicated office space which allowed me to continue to work while away. It is close to the medical center so perfect location for us. Nice walking trails close by. Joy and Gerald were wonderful. Very responsive to any needs or concerns that we had. I would definitely stay there again (though hope I won’t need to) and recommend this property.

One of the best rentals I’ve stayed at given comfortable beds and secure setup. Car was garaged and gated and host was exceptionally responsive to any requests and needs. Gerald is very accommodating
