You are absolutely right regarding the lift. As the apartment is located on the first floor of a historic building, installing an elevator is unfortunately not feasible ! Regarding the warm temperatures, your stay coincided with an exceptionally hot week. Fortunately, the apartment is very spacious and allows for effective cross ventilation by opening the windows, which usually helps keep the interior comfortable. We are delighted that you enjoyed the space, comfort and quality of the apartment, as well as its exceptional location overlooking the harbour ! We would just like to clarify one point for future travellers: the apartment is located on the second floor of the building, as visible in the exterior photo showing the house facing the harbour. That said, we do mention in the listing that the property is not recommended for reduce mobility people, as access is via stairs only. Regarding the staircase, it is indeed a beautiful, centuries-old feature, typical of Honfleur's historic bourgeois houses. Its charm and authenticity are part of the character of the building, and it is clearly visible in our listing photos, allowing guests to know what to expect before booking. Any decision regarding its restoration remains the responsibility of the property owner. As for parking, Honfleur is a very popular tourist destination, and parking in the historic centre can sometimes be challenging. This is why we recommend planning ahead. Every one of our listings includes a dedicated section, "Where to park in Honfleur", detailing the available car parks and their rates. We also offer private parking spaces for rent to make our guests' stays more convenient. Regarding the staircase, we understand your comment. It is an old staircase with plenty of charm and authentic details such as the beautiful banister and the terracotta tiles on the steps, which are typical of older buildings in Honfleur.
