Wonderful home and host!

We just spent a week at this home in the Outer Banks and can’t wait to come back next year! The home is beautifully appointed, spacious and in a great location. The host was so kind and helpful and made great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Awesome Family Week

Our host provided helpful information and suggestions from the time we booked Lasso the Sun until the day we left. The house was spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen with outdoor grill. There were children’s play things, games, books, and a pristine pool and hot tub. It was close to the beach, grocery stores, gift shops, bookstores, historic sites, wild horse tours, and great pizza and seafood restaurants. Our family made many beautiful memories.

David was a great host providing us with suggestions on restaurants, food stores and various things to do. The house was beautiful and kitchen was fully equipped. Everything we needed for a fabulous family vacation. On our last day at the beach our canopy broke and David offered to get rid of it for us, rather than us having to drag it home with us. He definitely went out of his way to accommodate us. Great rental with a great host. We will be back

Corolla Beach Adventure

The property was clean, beautiful, and relaxing. It is settled perfectly between the Currituck sound and the Atlantic ocean in a charming east coast beach community. The beach access was a quick and easy walk to see the beautiful sunrise over the ocean or have a fun day at the beach. The community pier was a beautiful place to watch the sunset over the sound. The property owners, David and Joan, were so helpful. They shared the best places to eat, shop, and play in the area. The only thing we ended wishing for was more time in Corolla.

Fantastic Property!

First and foremost, our host David was phenomenal. He met us at the property and showed us through the house. He also presented us with a very nice drink and snack tray! Our family of seven had more than enough room. The beds were very comfy, the pool & hot tub were perfect for us, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The location in Corolla was perfect, only a few blocks to the beach and a short walk to the sound, on a very quiet street and many amenities nearby. We would definitely consider coming back to Lasso the Sun!

The house was immaculate. Sunsets on the sound were incredible. The family had a fantastic time. We rented bikes for everyone and never had to get in vehicle's, trails everywhere. The owner was incredibly helpful, literally a tour guide of the area. Purchased a selection of the fresh local fish and cooked a feast. The house/kitchen was the best equipped vrbo we ever stayed at, knives were actuality sharp. Pool and jacuzzi were wonderful In summary the vacation was fantastic!

David welcomed us with a family like touch. His hospitality went over and beyond, including a much appreciated snack tray. The house was clean and in a great location. We enjoyed amazing sunsets at the pier which was right down the block and amazing sunrises at the beach which was only about a 6 minute walk. David’s recommendations on activities and food gave us more time to play instead of doing research. Truly, a wonderful stay.

For our first trip to the Outer Banks we couldn't have picked a more perfect house and Dave ( the owner) couldn't have been more attentive and caring,even going as far as making sure he knew the names (and spellings) haha of every one of his guests. Cute House - Overbearing Owner

The house was nice and decently equipped. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the owner being a constant presence in our stay. When we arrived to the house after driving 12 hours with 2 children, the owner approached our vehicle as we pulled into the driveway. He was so close to our truck that my husband could not open his door but had to roll down his window while thr owner poked his head in our vehicle. Then proceeded to take us on a tour of the home. When we got to the pool area David told our children not to swim in the pool or go in the hot tub without an adult present. It was odd. He assured us the house was 100% ready for us but it wasnt. The outdoor shower was broken and the ac on the 3rd floor was not functional. We also found a dead frog in the hot tub that disinigrated when we tried to remove it. We let the owner know and he loaded the hot tub with chlorine which made our children break out in a rash. He did extended a gift card for dinner since the ac took a while to fix which was kind and we were thankful because it was too hot to cook in the kitchen. He kept coming back to the property to check on the pool area, several times accordingto a text when asked why he needed to check again. One time he texted about coming by to check on the pool area again and 15 minutes later just showed up without a response. This was our 6th Vrbo rental and have never had an experience like this with an owner being so...present. Will not book again.

Great location, beautiful house, and awesome host!

We really enjoyed our spring break week with our kids here! The host welcomed us upon arrival and checked in with us daily and took care of all our needs; he recommended restaurants, daily outings, and hidden OBX gems. We've been to Corolla several times and the host made suggestions that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. He was super responsive and went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable and as easy as possible. The house is in great condition, and in a new development with its own shared pier right by the sound side with great views of the sunset, and a short straight walk on a public path to the beach, and a short drive from good retail and many restaurants. We should also mention that the house was very family friendly and included plenty of beach chairs and wave boards and two beach wagons, as well as little kids scooters as well as pack & play and high chair for our toddler. We would definitely go back again!

What a great property!

We had a wonderful stay in Corolla! David was in close contact with us and met us when we arrived. He took time to guide us through the house pointing out details so we wouldn't be left to figure things out on our own. The house was everything we hoped it would be, but what we appreciated most was how clean it was! We had a baby with us and had no reservations about letting her crawl around the living space. David even installed a baby gate at the top of the stairs before we arrived so we didn't have to worry about her near the stairs. He was very accommodating and checked in with us regularly to be sure we had everything we needed. We brought a few of our own chairs to be sure we had decent ones for the beach only to find out that wasn't necessary because he has the same ones we do at the property. It was a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.

Beach vacation

Our stay in Corolla was wonderful! This home was perfect for our family. The home was beautifully decorated and had everything you would need from a great kitchen perfect for preparing and serving meals to beach chairs and pool toys. It was an easy walk to the beach. It was nice enjoying the beach in the morning and coming back to enjoy the pool in the afternoon. David was an excellent host. He promptly responded to questions prior to our arrival and during our stay he made recommendations of things to do and checked with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. You will not be disappointed if you book this home!

Wonderful Stay, Beautiful House

We travel a lot, and David is the absolute best host we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived he was all about service and going above and beyond. The house is gorgeous, obviously lovingly kept up and there was a wonderful spread of snacks, fruits, cold drinks, and Prosecco to greet us. David came to personally show us around, how everything works and to give us tips on the area. He was eager to provide restaurant tips and recommendations, made sure the pool and hot tub were just right and that everything in the house was well stocked. Our trip took an unexpected turn when my mother sprained her knee on a walk near the beach. To our surprise, David showed up with a Velcro ice pack wrap and a cane!!! He spent time talking to mom and assuring her she would be OK. As we later learned, this ice pack was a vital part of mom’s healing as the orthopedic doctor said mom clearly benefitted from his kind intervention. We can’t express what a great experience we had at David’s rental and will definitely be back! Thank you, David!

Beautiful place, amazing hosts, and memories that will last forever!

From the moment we booked our stay in this beautiful home, we knew it would be great! Our host, David is amazing and extremely thoughtful; his mission is your mission, to enjoy every moment making memories. From the preplanning, the road trip there, and many suggestions for our stay for the week. We will be forever be grateful/thankful for having amazing hosts and our time here. This will not be our last. We have found our family spot! Renting bikes for the week, right down the road was the best decision. We parked them in the garage and rode around everywhere. From the community pier to watch the sunsets, to the beach for sunrises, to the park, historical centers, and shopping centers. The Currituck Maritime Forest Trail about 2 miles down the road did not disappoint and the wild horses surprised us in the evening hours. Many great places to eat and entertainment all along the OBX coast. Volleyball and frisbee on the beach. 4x4 drive on the beach was a memory we will never forget. After a day of adventures, coming back to an amazing home was comforting and relaxing
 and no better way of ending a great day than watching the sunset! We will be back sooner than later!

The perfect stay

We booked David's house for a late August family vacation & first visit out to the OBX. It's safe to say, we will be returning. Not only was David's house spacious and comfortable, but it was also beautifully decorated and well equipped with all we needed (and more!). The house is a short walk to the beach and right down the block from access to a long dock on the bay. There was plenty of room for the 6 adults and 3 children in our group to have their own space, which was really wonderful when spending a week with a group that size. I really can't think of anything this house was missing. - Morning coffee on the balcony? Check! - Outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach? Check! - Pool to play and hot tub to relax in? Check! Check! - Close proximity to great restaurants, shops, and excursions? Check! - Beach chairs, paddle boards, games, toys, strollers, crib... you name it. Check! Above all else, David was quick to respond, happy to offer guidance, and set us up with a beautiful complimentary spread (unlike one I have ever seen). He even brought toys for the kids! He treated us like family and that was very much appreciated. Book this house if you can, you won't regret it!

Corolla Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay in this house. It is perfect for families that want some R&R. It is very clean and modern. The location is a short drive to multiple beach access locations. It is definitely walkable to the nearest access. The pool was used daily to cool off from the August heat and humidity. The host, David, went above and beyond to welcome our family. He was always available for any questions and checked with us throughout the booking and our stay.

Amazing OBX family getaway!

We had an amazing week! The house was beautiful! We spent our days swimming at the beach nearby and when we got back from the beach, swimming in the pool. Wonderful week in Corolla

I would highly recommend a stay in this wonderful property. The owner, Dave, was an excellent host from the time I inquired about booking all the way through checkout. The home was even more impressive in person: immaculate, well appointed, with a fantastic location only steps from the Currituck sound and a short walk to the beach. The nightly sunset views were amazing. Dave was a great communicator and was ready with recommendations for activities or dining at a moments notice. I can’t say enough good things about our stay and look forward to our next.

A week getaway with friends and family

Awesome vacation. The home was beautiful. It was the perfect size for 8 people. Close to the bay and beach, best of both worlds. The communication couldn’t have been any better. Already thinking about coming back next year

Great visit!

We had a great stay at this property in Corolla. David was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. The house is gorgeous. Location is good. Nice to have both access to the sound and the ocean. My boys loved the pool. Our first time to Corolla, and we really liked what the area had to offer. Definitely recommend.

Joan and David first discovered the serenity of the Outer Banks in 1984 and have visited every year since. We had both grown up as beach lovers in New Jersey and Long Island, but immediately fell in love with the expansive soft sandy beaches and serenity in NC.
More recently we discovered Corolla and especially the "best of both worlds" by owning a beautiful beach house overlooking Currituck Sound. We now want to share it with you!

We love the ocean and enjoy the ten minute walk to "our beach." You can also drive to a lot to shorten the walk. Evenings are spectacular as the sun sets over the sound delighting everyone with an endless array of color, easily viewed from our decks or the community pier. You can also go kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, provided, from the pier.
The house is only three years old. It was professionally decorated and has every amenity you need including a completely stocked kitchen, a gas grill, and a great pool. Our family including our 4 and 2 year old grandchildren treasure every moment at "Lasso the Sun!"
