hal•cy•on – denoting a time that was idyllically happy and peaceful.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space full of charm and character.

Step into a beautifully preserved 1930s home, where you’re welcomed by striking architecture, soaring cathedral ceilings, original stained glass, and rich hardwood floors.

Upstairs, you’ll find two inviting bedrooms: the primary features a king bed, and the second offers two twin beds—each with brand new memory foam mattresses to ensure a restful stay. A convenient half bath is located downstairs just off the kitchen, which also includes a full washer and dryer for your use.

Out back, enjoy an inviting outdoor space with a grassy area perfect for pets, plus an extra-long driveway with room for two or more vehicles.

The upstairs (two bedrooms and a full bath) has central heating and air conditioning. The downstairs (living room, dining room, kitchen, and half bath) has three separate mini-split units that provide both cold and heat.

Please note: We’ll send over a quick rental agreement after booking—just something simple to cover house rules and protect both sides. It helps make sure expectations are clear and everything goes smoothly. Let us know if you have any questions!

Note- There will be a 3% fee (minimum $40) cancellation fee for all cancellation requests.

In a quaint neighborhood. The architecture of the homes are so cute. This home was superb. Everything was ship shape and clean. The host is an excellent communicator. I implore anyone who gets the opportunity to rent this home. They should. It is in the plaza area and artsy area. It was a great stay. The bed. It’s so comfortable. Now we know we need a new one back home. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Highly recommend!

This was the perfect place for a calm, quiet getaway. I was highly impressed with the location. The house is so cute, and the bed was comfortable! Highly recommended and hope to be back again soon!

There were quirks that just made no sense - the bedside table with a lamp - but no outlet so we had to move the table to where there was an outlet - the fireplace that looked like it was hooked up to a gasline, but it was just sitting out there - not sure if it was usable or not. Remotes that had no batteries, or went to devices we could not identify. The downstairs AC units were pretty noisy. The fridge is pretty small - so thankfully our stay was a short one. The deck was a mess so it was unusable. The furniture was okay, but I would not accuse it of being comfortable. There are trip hazards so be mindful - and the last thing I would note is the stairs and the lower level flooring blend in all too well, so make sure you leave a light on otherwise you might think you are at the bottom when you are not and that last step would be a doozy. The place was clean, and the neighborhood was quiet.

Thank you for your feedback. A few of these comments were surprising to us. The bedside lamp does have access to an outlet, and the home is designed to comfortably accommodate up to four guests, so the refrigerator size has never been an issue for the vast majority of stays. We were also surprised by the fireplace comment, as no previous guest has ever expressed confusion about it. Regarding the remotes, batteries occasionally go missing or are misplaced between stays, which unfortunately can happen despite our inspection process. The comment about the deck being “unusable” was particularly unexpected. The deck is one of the most enjoyed features of the property, and we are not aware of any condition during your stay that would have made it unusable. In fact, outdoor space is regularly highlighted by guests as one of the home’s strengths. As for the staircase, there is both a staircase light within the stairwell and additional lighting outside the stairwell area. We certainly encourage guests to use appropriate lighting, just as they would in any multi-level home. We are not aware of any unusual safety concerns, nor have we previously received comments regarding the stairs. What many guests specifically love about this home are its unique architectural features and character. The design elements, layout, and charm of the property are often mentioned positively in reviews, so it is unusual to see those same features presented as negatives. We are pleased to hear you found the home clean and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. We appreciate all feedback and will continue working to provide a great experience for future guests.

Adorable little house

This is a cute little house. We enjoyed having the little gated area outback next to a beautiful tree with a tree swing. It was perfect for having our pups with us. The master bedroom was very comfortable and cozy.

This house is adorable and as advertised. The house was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We did communicate once with the property manager and he was immediately responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

A OKC October visit

The only thing it’s not a place for seniors or small children. The stairs in my opinion were dangerous ….needs hands For sure…..only had one. Overall place…..a great old house and neighborhood 🎃

Beautifully restored home in quiet neighborhood

This home in the Crestwood area of OKC has been painstakingly and lovingly restored, with (it appears) almost all of the original accents that made homes built in the 20s so special. Arched doorways, carved wall niches, hardwood flooring all look true to the era. The bed was very comfortable, as was the living room furniture. The sidewalked neighborhood is quiet and safe. We appreciated the fenced in yard for our dog. We also appreciated the coffee pods provided by the host. Next time we visit OKC we'll try to rent this lovely home.

My stay was enjoyable.

As a house cleaner on Crystal Beach Texas and working beside tiny Tamies house cleaning service and caring a five-star rate for all of our houses, I've learned a lot and when I stayed in the house there were some things missing there was a lot of dust the cleaner did not get under some furniture, dog fur on the carpet and some stained towels. I did not take pictures for other reasons. And cleaner should never bring dogs to a house they clean. But the host did answer all of my questions and did bring me what I needed and I enjoyed my stay by myself. I know I might be sounding rude but if I did have a chance to stay there again I will but I'd like to have to be more clean.

Great getaway!

This was a great place in a quiet neighborhood for a quick getaway. Loved the proximity to downtown and area attractions. Owner was easy to contact and quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again!
