About this property

Cozy, Quiet, Family-Friendly Getaway

The house is in a rural setting just west of Lake Andes, S.D. The town has a grocery store, gas stations and a BBQ place . It is also located close to Fort Randall/Francis Case Reservoir, six miles north of the dam with great access to boat ramps.

The house has YouTube TV with a fishing theme throughout the house. There are a few steps to get up to the main bathroom and the 3 bedrooms and a few steps down to the recreation room.

The garage is available for your fishing boat or vehicle. There is an additional refrigerator and a small chest deep freezer in the garage area also for your use.

    The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
    Load and start the dishwasher
    Strip any used beds and gather used towels
    Take out the trash
    Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
    Place used towels and sheets downstairs in the laundry room hamper.
    Place trash in the bin at the end of the driveway.
    Adjust the thermostat to 80 degrees on AC and 60 degrees on heat.
    Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
    Typically, don’t allow more than two-week stays at a time. Please inquire first before booking if you would like a longer stay.
    Hunting dogs are allowed in kennels in the garage.
    Please be respectful of the house by removing your dirty shoes. If you do make a mess, the vacuum cleaners are available in the closets.

    School Reunion Stay

    For us, my wife and her sister attending an all school reunion at the Andes Central High School as well as other activities, the location was excellent.The property was in good repair and well maintained - the host provided all the comforts and services (i.e. wifi, AC) that were expected and needed. Don was readily available to answer any questions that came up.I would recommend this property to others!

    A great home base for our fishing trips. Only in the house for supper and to sleep but it’s great to go to a home where you can relax with your family after a hot day on the water.     Don is a great host. Easy to work with & responds quickly. I loved getting up in the morning to sit on the deck, drink coffee, read a good book and soak in the quiet. It is close to the lake, and boat ramps. We had a great stay.

    Great quiet place for a fishing vacation

    First off, Donald was always quick to respond to any of our questions. Nice house that was exactly as stated. Plenty of bed space and a great little deck to relax on. Location was perfect for us. A short drive to the boat ramp for a 3 day fishing trip( the walleye were biting). Garage space is also a nice luxury. We will come back to this location for our annual fishing trip.

    Lake Francis is an excellent place to catch walleye and smallmouth bass. I have several access points to the lake close by and truly enjoy being in a country setting but not too far from the conveniences of a small town.

    What makes this property unique

    This quiet setting makes for wonderful evenings to stargaze or sit around the fire pit. The large yard offers a great place to play, and the house itself is very family-friendly!
