Sugarbush Haus, our Chic Sugarbush VT Retreat close to mountain Sleeps 10

Welcome to our Sugarbush VT chic and modern ski / mountain house in the woods. Recently renovated and always being updated! This is a family friendly, sorry not pet friendly, 5 bedroom, 3 and 1/2 bath home. We are 0.3 miles from Sugarbush Mt Ellen entrance, 3.5 miles from Sugarbush Lincoln Peak and we are on the Madbus ski shuttle route. We are just 3 miles from Sugarbush Resort Golf Club w/ public golfing for all ages and reasonable greens fees.

Enter the home through the front door to a spacious mudroom for coats, shoes, ski boots etc. You can continue to the lower level with 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and laundry room. Then head to the upper level with a perfect configuration for groups or multiple families with an open floor plan kitchen /dining / living area. Also on main floor is a designated office and 1/2 bath for your guests convenience. Back in the mudroom you will find the entrance to the loft suite with floor to ceiling windows, queen bed, large and comfortable sitting area and another full bath.

The lower level premier suite opens thru french doors to the pergola and fire pit for outdoor relaxation. Full bath right outside the room. There is another full bath and 3 additional bedrooms on this level including a Queen guest room, double twin bunk room and twin day bed bedroom.

The wonderful open layout including kitchen, dining and living room helps keep groups connected. The main area includes a working wood burning fireplace, large screen TV (Netflix included), sectional sofa, large dining area, newly renovated kitchen with waterfall island and stools and an abundance of amenities including Keurig, Cuisinart Coffee Maker, toaster, blender, slow cooker, wine fridge and plenty of plates and wares for a crowd.

The house is 3 minutes to the base of Sugarbush Ellen Peak, 3.5 miles to Sugarbush Lincoln Peak and a short walk to the free Mad bus shuttle. You can also take a short drive into town to enjoy restaurants, Lawsons Brewery, movie theater, yoga, skating rink, grocery stores etc . The house is convenient to many local attractions but retains a private and relaxing atmosphere surrounded by mature trees and beautiful views out of every window.

Sugarbush Retreat

quiet stay in ski country

Home is perfect for skiing, foliage or hanging around the mountains. Home had everything we needed and the hosts were outstanding and made a super big accommodation for us. We would recommend!

Great House

The house is just as pictured and described, it is tastefully decorated, even better in person. Everything is well stocked. We had a great stay. Kelly is a great host, communicates well and very responsive. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Beautiful Home

We were a multi-generational family staying at the house for a family wedding. The house was just as nice as the photos and the hosts could not have been more gracious. Everything in the house worked well, the kitchen was generously supplied, and the furniture and beds were all comfortable. The outdoor areas around the house were also great. We would highly recommend this house and are truly appreciative for how accomodating the hosts were.

Wedding weekend

I got married in Moretown and stayed at this house for our wedding weekend - it was the most perfect house for all of my bridesmaids to stay with me, for us to get ready in and take photos in. Such a gorgeous house! The owner even left us a card, champagne and some lovely snacks with well wishes for our marriage. We were also able to check in early which was so helpful. Can’t say enough good things about our experience staying here! 10/10 would recommend :)

Waitfield stay

Interesting decor in lovely home. We particularly e3njoyed the variety of outdoor seating area. Surprised to have a fair amount of road noise. Well stocked kitchen. Netflix available on TV aoorecuated.Enjoyed our stay. A bit musty smelling on low level bedrooms. Would be helpful to air the out, dehumidifier in the summer?

Terrific Ski House for Family

The house is a great ski house with a terrific location, just a short drive to SugarBush or Mt. Ellen. The home has a large entry way, great place change boots and lots of storage. There were plenty of places to sleep and the suite over the garage makes it great for two couples or family. We met my brother-in-law and his daughter. Essentially two "master" locations and a nice bunk room. The kitchen, dining and living space is great and there's a nice fireplace. Communication with the owner, kelly was easy and there were no issues. We will definitely be back.

Clean comfortable home in a great location

This house was a great find. It worked out very well for our group of three families for a ski weekend. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The home was nicely decorated, we all fit around the table for our group dinners, the beds were very comfortable - seems like brand new mattresses perhaps? - nice linens, fluffy towels - we lacked for nothing. The open floor plan of the kitchen, living and dining room area was great and the fireplace an added bonus. Check in and check out procedures and instructions were easy and the house rules were straightforward and clearly posted. Proximity to skiing makes this home a great alternative to staying at one of the resorts or motels, but the privacy of the lot and the natural beauty of the surrounding area makes us think it would be a wonderful place to stay in any season.

Wonderful Five Days at Sugarbush Haus

We recently returned from a five night stay at Sugarbush Haus. My husband and I were joined by our children, their spouses, and our two grandsons, ages 4 and 6. Everyone had a fabulous time. The house is very comfortable and well stocked and there was plenty of room for everyone. The room over the garage was perfect for my son and daughter-in-law as they had a private space away from their noisy nephews! The weather ranged from snow, to heavy rain, to ice and then to wind with frigid temperatures. It would not have been surprising to lose power, but we had no issues and the house remained warm and comfortable throughout. It is in an excellent location, close both to town and to Sugarbush. Kelly was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend her home and hope to be able to return one day.

College reunion

We had three adult couples stay. Thursday - Sunday. The house was prefect. We cooked breakfasts. Went for day outings. Came back to the house to hang out. Some nights we had commitments and one night we stayed in and grilled and cooked. We had a amazing weather and the house was perfect. (The only thing we could Have used and didn’t have was something to clean the grill gate.). Thanks again. We plan to Come back next time we come up.

Great spot, close to Sugarbush

We had a great time staying at this house. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the utensils dishes in cook ware. The bedroom above the garage is a real treat. We did reach out to Kevin and Kelly at one point and they got right back to us. This was much appreciated. We would rent here again.

Great stay near Sugarbush and Mad River Glen

Very nice property which was clean, roomy and nicely provisioned. Great location and proximity to Sugarbush and Made River Glen. Hosts were appropriately communicative helpful and friendly. We will definitely choose this house again.

This house was a gem! It worked perfectly for us in all respects!

Perfect Gem near Sugarbush/Mt Ellen!!

We had an amazing time at this property during our trip to Sugarbush. The house was spotless and exactly as expected. The owner, Kelly, was extremely responsive when I had questions and left some Valentines treats for us upon arrival, which was a lovely, homey touch! It truly felt like home and had ample sleeping space. It was a 5 minute drive to Sugarbush and 1 minute to Mt Ellen, so the location was incredibly convenient. I could not recommend this property/host more and we look forward to returning next season! Thank you, Kelly!
