Sugarhouse Lodge: un retiro aislado en la cima de una colina

Hermosa casa de 4 dormitorios en 5 acres aislados. Ubicado al final de un camino privado al otro lado del puente cubierto de la pintoresca ciudad de Waitsfield, en el corazón del Valle del Río Loco. A pocos kilómetros de las estaciones de esquí Mad River Glen y Sugarbush.

Plano de planta abierto con techos abovedados y estufa de leña rústica. Hay dos habitaciones grandes en el piso superior, cada una con su propio balcón donde puede disfrutar de su café de la mañana y disfrutar de las vistas a la montaña. El dormitorio principal se abre a la cubierta envolvente. El piso inferior es un amplio dormitorio en suite con su propia cocina y área de recreación con mesa de futbolín.

We went to visit our son for family weekend at Norwich University. The house was so beautiful!! We had a wonderful time, and had so much fun being together as a family tanks to the perfect accommodation. My daughter and her husband had the downstairs, which they felt like they had their own apartment. I had the pleasure of the master bedroom on the main floor. That was so spacious. My son and his dad enjoyed the two large bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen was so well equipped (even more amenities than my own kitchen), which we enjoyed dinners and breakfast. We went to our go to favorite restaurant in Montpelier, that was only a short drive. We enjoyed the back yard with a wonderful view of the mountains. Unfortunately we couldn’t make a fire pit, because there was a no fire band in Vermont. It was unusually warm for that time of the year, so having AC was a nice perk. Everything was top notch, definitely the best rental house I have ever rented!!!!!! Hope to be back there next family weekend and maybe even graduation. Thank you Renee and Matt for letting us enjoy your home.

Our stay was wonderful. The house was clean, quiet, beautifully appointed, and very private, yet accessible to Waitsfield, Warren, and surrounding areas. The wooded property provided views of the nearby mountains and added to a relaxing vacation. The hosts were great to work with. We would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you Renee and Matt!

Sugarhouse Lodge provided my family and me an exceptional vacation experience in beautiful Waitsfield, Vermont. The hosts, Renee and Matt, ensured the most pleasant experience as accommodations were impeccable, check-in was easy and any communication was delivered in a timely manner. The lodge is very spacious with a large, well-organized kitchen that provided all amenities of home. The rooms throughout are also large and very comfortable for many guests to find a relaxing area to lounge. We enjoyed many peaceful moments outside in nature with our morning coffees down by the fire pit, meals on the deck, and evening star-gazing. We are so thrilled to have had the opportunity to stay at beautiful Sugarhouse Lodge. It made our trip to Vermont the best with happy memories all around!

Private home in the woods, but still close to everything

We had a great time - Renee was very responsive. Well equipped and cozy. Enjoyed the end of road privacy and took full advantage of the Wu Ledges hike - totally worth it. We will return for sure - thank you!

We loved this property! The house is really well laid out for family gatherings. We even made waffles in the morning with the waffle maker! Enjoyed doing the Vermont Puzzle! Lots of nice comfortable touches and very clean! Thank you!

Quiet, secluded, and fully stocked - an amazing find in VT!

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids ages 9-16) stayed in this home for two nights, and what a fun time it was! We had a long road trip to get there and it was such a relief walking into a fully stocked home where we could relax because everything had been thought of. We have rented many VRBOs over the years but this was by far the most well-equipped. In the kitchen we found a waffle maker, regretted not having brought pancake mix, then were delighted to find an unopened box of it in the cabinet. The kids were in heaven the next morning! Besides the kitchen that had everything (so many pots and pans, containers, baggies, and more) there were high quality brand full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles in the showers, tissue boxes in most rooms, the.good.toilet.paper and paper towels, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. The were also books, video games, a playset, bikes, a canoe, snow shoes, other outdoor items, and even a guitar (which the kids were careful with as they attempted to play music and serenade us). The house is huge and a great layout and the owners were very communicative and friendly and clearly take good care of the house. We just can't say enough good things about the property (and we are picky!) Thanks for an amazing few nights in Vermont!

Surpassed all of our expectations!

This property was amazing! Even better than the pictures. It was the ideal spot for our family gathering with spaces for everyone to come together, but also have their own privacy. The kitchen was amazing and stocked with everything we could possibly need. We loved the remote quiet location, but it was close enough to run to town for s'mores ingredients for the firepit. Would definitely return and recommend!

Better than ever

We spend a week in Vermont every summer with friends and family, usually in the Waitsfield area, and Sugarhouse Lodge is our favorite rental by far. This was our third stay, and the house is even better now that the lower floor has been renovated with a beautiful lounge featuring a large internet-connected TV. Wonderful!

Beautiful home/property! The house was very clean, and well stocked with things you may have forgotten or didn't realize you would need (flash lights, bug spray, sunscreen, etc). Matt and Renee were so kind and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed the fire pit, expansive yard with private trails, and fall leaves. Excellent home/property for our first trip to Vermont!

Another great week in the Mad River Valley

We love this house, and we haven't even used many of its great features, like the grill, firepit, and climbing wall. It has the most spacious tables for dining and tabletop gaming that we have encountered. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the air conditioning is a lifesaver for my older relatives. We discovered three more excellent nearby day hikes this year!

Lovely Country Stay

This is a beautiful home that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed for 7 days, and never ran out of fun things to do. It is located down a secluded and forested lane. We lost power for several hours during a thunderstorm due to downed trees and power lines. Our hosts were prepared with several lanterns and flashlights available for us to use.

Definitely a cut above

We have been visiting Waitsfield almost every summer for years, but this year we needed a bit more space and also A/C for an elderly relative. We loved the exceptionally well stocked kitchen and the large tables for dining and gaming. The location is beautiful and convenient to town. When the washing machine had a glitch, the owners immediately helped us resolve it. This property will be our top choice for next year.

Spacious, clean and well appointed!

Lovely private spot within minutes of Waitsfield. Clean, spacious, comfortable beds with ample extra bedding, fully stocked kitchen, bbq, fire pit, and the list goes on! I loved the instruction binder which just made everything easier for the guest (details on how to operate the tv, or what if the bbq propane tank runs out!) and the fact that the homeowners could easily be reached in the event there was a question or a problem. I contacted them just to tell them how wonderful the place was! I’d go back and stay there ANYDAY!!!

Fantastic home and setting!

What a wonderful long weekend at this impressive home! Beautiful setting and super clean just as described and pictured. Owners made so many home extras available that it made for a super convenient and fantastic weekend. From the fire-pit to the air conditioning (it was a hot weekend!) to the grill and the nice Wu Ledges hike close by! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thanks again Matt and Renee!

Excellent home

It was a beautiful warm well decorated and spotless home. Everything you need is there. It’s a great house for kids Or adults or both. The downstairs is like it’s own house so it’s a two-get rental It is a private area no neighbors in view with scenic mountain views and trails Our son graduated college in Vermont and our family stayed there and we were very impressed and had lots of fun round the fire pit . We never met The owners but communicated via text they were friendly and polite and made the process simple.

Fantastic stay!

Beautiful property with very thoughtful touches included (e.g., firewood, outdoor recreational gear). Very private but right up the road from Waitsfield village. We encountered a minor plumbing issue during our stay Renee and Matt responded immediately to our message and had someone out to deal with it that very same day. Their responsiveness was impressive. Will certainly look to stay here in the future when visiting the Mad River Valley.

Visit with my family and young children

I stayed at the property with my parents (who made the reservation) and we loved the property. This would have been true if it was just adults but this was particularly a wonderful fit if you have children! Mine loved playing in the outdoor playhouse, reading all the children's books, and playing with the toys. Having these items made our stay exponentially better and I would absolutely rebook this great place.
