About this property
Historic Bungalow in Heart of OKC’s Best Districts
This charming 1917 bungalow in Uptown OKC is centrally located. It is walking distance to great bars, coffee shops, restaurants, pastry shops, boutiques, and brunch spots in the Western Ave District. It is 1 mile from Paseo Arts District, 1.5 miles from Uptown 23rd District, 2.5 miles from Plaza District, 3 miles from Midtown District, and 4 miles from Downtown OKC. Well appointed kitchen and bar area, WIFI w/Apple TVs, and expansive front porch.
The space: 2 bedrooms (one with queen bed and one with full bed; Jack & Jill bathroom w/bath & shower). Bonus loft with full bed (it is only accessible with a library ladder, and it’s difficult to control the heat/AC in the loft so it’s not listed as a bedroom). TV with Apple TV in the living room an in the main bedroom. Full kitchen with 1/2 bath. Laundry room. Positioned on a corner lot with large front porch. Charming sunroom off the main bedroom for drinking coffee in the mornings. Fully fenced backyard for pets.
Guest access: Lock box on front door. There are a few stairs that lead to the front porch.
Other things to note: This is a 100+ year old house with imperfections and signs of age. If you are looking for a flawless, newly-renovated type of home, this is not the airbnb for you. The HVAC system is brand new but keep in mind, the original windows are single-paned so the thermostat can’t always reach extreme low or high settings. The loft area is a bonus area that is not included in the listing, so you may access it at your own risk, but the temperature doesn’t regulate well up there and you might see a little dust. I have the house sprayed regularly for pests, but again it is a 100 year old home. The wood floors are distressed with some creaks and cracks that I have intentionally left to maintain the original character of the home. I’ve done my best to update parts of this home while maintaining its original charm. Given the single pane windows and the proximity to Western Ave. (a 2-lane thoroughfare), there is some light traffic noise.

The place was in a great location. It was also cute and comfy. We did have an issue when we first go there, but the host was quick to fix the problem and even offered compensation. Would stay there again if we go back to OKC.
Home was perfect for myself and daughter to have a place to call “home” while settling in granddaughter for her first year of college! Had everything we needed! Jay was a great host!!
Super cute! Clean. Convenient location in cute neighborhood. Host made it easy for us to feel at home with our dog and temperature control. Plenty of room to move around. Just a fun little place to chill away from home.
Awesome experience staying at this charming bungalow!! It was very clean and accommodating!! The host was very prompt in responding to my questions and ensuring my stay was enjoyable! I look forward to returning!!
We enjoyed staying in the Historic Bungalow earlier this week. The neighborhood was nice. Slept great on the comfortable beds after visiting the zoo & State Fair! Wish there was off-street parking, however we didn't experience any issues parking in front of the house.
What a CUTE home! This was a perfect place to stay for my daughter and I. The house was very clean and offered everything we needed. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet. The bedrooms do have some road noise but it wasn't bad, there is a fan in each bedroom that help muffle the sounds. We would absolutely stay here again, great centralized location.

Had no parking when we arrived. Bedding had hairs on it. Very cold and drafting no matter what the heater was set on.
The place is beautiful and so well located. Out of mostly positives, there was a small negative. For three ladies in their seventies there was little light in the bedrooms to enable reading. Overall good.
This was warm and inviting. Comfy bed and all the amenities. We only stayed one night as we were traveling through Oklahoma and it was perfect! Only wish we could have stayed longer. :)
My husband, son and I were in town for a concert. We loved the place. It was very charming and we loved how it was decorated. The communication with the host was great. Travel/stay details were provided first thing in the morning the day of our stay. The property is in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Very nice/clean house with great interior decoration. We enjoyed the dog friendly house with central location in OKC...great restaurants close by and very nice neighborhood. Thank you for a very nice and clean home! Dan/Linda/Karri/Jamen and of course Bosco & Dexter!
Loved this cozy bungalow - located in a great neighborhood, clean, lots of character, all the amenities we needed. The enclosed yard was a major plus for our two pups. Would definitely stay here again on a future cross country drive. It’s right near my fav OKC breakfast spot - cafe kakao.
I found this property on Bring Fido and this house is so very charming and perfect for my husband and myself and our golden retriever! Beautifully decorated home with old world charm! Sparkling clean and had everything we needed! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog with a nice grassy area! We will definitely stay again!
Lovely house in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It was only a few minutes from our destinations and from some good food. Host provided nice touches and hospitality. Will stay there again next time we are in OKC.
