Beautiful Lake House with Mountain View, 4 bedroom / 4.5 bath in private, secluded neighborhood. The house is located on Lake Rhodhiss in scenic Granite Falls, North Carolina. Two master suites on main floor. Open kitchen and great room transition to sunroom that offers stunning views of the lake and Grandfather mountain. With a reading nook and double-sided, gas fireplace you can cozy up in this inviting space. For readers, there is an amazing library in the loft with comfortable seating for curling up with your favorite book. The lower level has an additional king room, two full baths and a bunk room you'll have trouble getting the kids to leave. With a pool table, a foosball table, a 65" TV and a screened- in porch, there is something for everyone.
Lake Rhodhiss is an outdoor paradise. You can spend your day on the lake swimming in the clear water, fishing, canoeing or pedal boating from the large, single bay dock. Nearby hiking trails are in abundance. Enjoy great shopping, antiquing, wonderful restaurants and pubs in nearby towns. To the north is Boone and Grandfather Mountain with tons of things to do. Well appointed with large comfortable rooms and lots to do on the property. The view of the lake is stunning even in winter. Quiet neighbor and convenient to downtown Hickory. Management was very responsive to the minor issues we had. Highly recommend this retreat!!

Safety issue regarding rotten top floor balcony and railing that the owner did not communicate and is very dangerous board already rotten through with an open hole. 8 bags of garbage of food left in the garage. Food items left in the refrigerator and hair on sheets assuming they were not changed. Area is nice and quiet but disappointed overall primarily due to trying to contact owner several times regarding the issues noted and he never responded during the entire time of our stay

We booked this home for us and some family to stay at for our wedding that was nearby. The home was beautiful, clean, and the library was such a unique part of the home. Would definitely recommend this host and home every time!

The view was beautiful. The dock was under repair due to hurricane damage. Having the dock would have been a nice addition to our lake time. We hiked in nearby parks each day.

House has open floor plan and very spacious with a beautiful view of the lake. There were 7 in our party and we were able to relax and not feel cramped. Well stocked kitchen and lovely appliances. Fire pit looked inviting but we didn’t have a chance to use. We will do that next time. Enjoyed our stay!!

Lake Life Paradise!!

This spacious lake house was all that it was describe to be and more!! A place that fostered peace, love, tranquility, entertainment, and wonderful memories! The scenery is absolutely beautiful!! The rooms provided plenty of space for all 10 of us!! The beds were very comfortable. The house was very clean. Our host was superb!! His communication skills were excellent!! We loved it here!

Amazing views, home, and host

Mathew was so easy to communicate with, always answered promptly and is quick to respond to any issues, and/or concerns. We were there for a wedding and I wish we got to spend more time at the house to just relax and enjoy its scenery. Games and toys for the littles and the older teens enjoyed pool and foosball as well as the bunk room. The driveway can be intimidating but we fit 4 cars on the flat service just fine. The fresh smells of pine and crisp air every morning was so pleasant. Thanks for having us :)

Love this place

Wow, the house is beautiful. Lots of room for everyone. Matt, makes sure to keep in touch. And to resend info if need be Lol. We stayed with our family and some friends and enjoyed playing pool, fuse ball out on the screen porch and eating at a beauty’s table in front of huge beautiful windows. We would DEFINITELY stay again and it was the easiest stay we have ever had with VRBO

Lake House

Beautiful, well maintained, clean lakeside property that was perfect for our large family gathering. Lots of fun activities at the site and in the area for the children and adults. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Spacious home

House was as advertised. Very comfortable for two families to meet up and enjoy the lake together.We had 4 adults and 4 kids, but definitely could have fit more with all the space. Like other reviews state the walkway to the lake is steep, but you can see that in the pictures. The driveway is also very steep, but had no reason to walk up it. Cove was very nice and people in houses near us were nice. Easy swimming around dock. Lake was calm. Especially enjoyed the SUPs.

Lake Weekend

Had a wonderful visit to this lovely Lake House! Plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms to fit a large group and the house was just as the listing stated. Very clean & nice! We did have to buy hand soap & extra garbage bags and couldn't find any beach towels so was good to pack your own. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely sunset & smores at night. The driveway is really steep & some cars needed all wheel drive to get up it. Path to the lake was also a hike, but was worth it. Would 100% stay here again!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend on the Lake

Wonderful stay! Very clean with lots of room to spread out. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Beautiful dining room area that we used to take gorgeous bridal photos. The photographer and videographer said the lighting was excellent. We would love to stay again! Matt was very quick to answer any questions we had.

Great getaway

A perfect location for me, my adult daughter, and my son and family to spend a few days while visiting my Mom. The house is lovely, and despite some minor inconveniences (previous guest stole the hairdryer), we had a great time. The library is very well curated for adults and kids, and was the perfect place to read bedtime stories to my two youngest grandsons. One caution is that the path to the lake is very steep so anyone with mobility issues should probably pass on walking down to the boat dock. Highly recommend.

Peaceful Home

My sister and brothers get together every six months. We have rented many homes but this was one of the best. The layout is perfect for groups. A nice round breakfast counter is attached to the kitchen counter that is perfect for chatting. The dining room table surrounded by large windows accommodated all eight of us. The cleanliness was top-tier. Finally, the host was exceptional. Texting with him was like talking to a friend. We enjoyed a perfect few days together in this great setting.

The Great Escape

Thank you Matthew and Jennifer for such a wonderful experience and allowing us to enjoy your luxurious LakeHouse with such a breathtaking view! Simply an absolute amazing experience! I was thoroughly surprised and very pleased with the cleanliness of the home, indoors as well as outdoors. Communication was excellent, clearly laid out and very responsive. Each of us (7 adults and 5 children) slept very well. We really loved the spacious layout, enjoyed access to canoes, the paddle boat and fishing. It was a wonderful weekend stay, a great escape to relax, have fun and celebrate life! Thank you so much for having us!!

Beautiful home on Lake Hickory

Wow! We absolutely loved our stay here. My husband is from Granite Falls, however, we live in Maryland. This home was the perfect place to stay for our visit as it was plenty big enough for our family to hang out and leisurely spend time together. My 3.5 and 1.5 years olds especially loved the library, the bunk room, and the view of the lake from the dining room. Matt, the host, was great, super attentive to any messages. We will absolutely be back to stay again!

Great Stay by the Lake

House was very well laid out and appointed. Spent time relaxing on the dock overlooking the lake, and the cool nights by the fire pit. Kitchen had everything needed for all our cooking needs. Beds were COMFORTABLE. Probably the most comfortable bed we have ever had at a rental. Communication with Matt was prompt and courteous. Nothing negative to say, hope to be back again some day.
