We rented this house with the hopes of being able to use the hot tub. The hot tub was in need of a deep cleaning. We did not use it because it was nasty from previous users.

We loved everything about this property! It was so peaceful very clean, and very homey. Everything you could possibly need for a get away also. Books, games, dvd, shower stuff, laundry soap. We really could not have asked for a better get away.

Loved it! House is clean and adorable. Everything you need for a nice relaxing stay on the lake. The name is rather fitting (“The View”). Beautiful views of the lake from the dining area, living room and porch. The kids loved the bunk beds. We went paddle boarding. The lake is not too busy so that is great for a paddle. I lonely fell once do to boat wake. ;)

Wonderful Getaway

"The View" was the perfect spot for a mother and daughter getaway. The house was clean and inviting, and the kitchen was stocked with needed things for home-cooked meals. The lake was relaxing and beautiful—there is something about visiting a lake during the week that makes you feel like you are the only people there. The covered back porch was a great area to enjoy coffee, read a book, and birdwatch. The hot tub was wonderful and a good size for 2 people. The host was very gracious when we had car trouble and didn't start our trip to NC from PA until about 6:30pm. We did not attempt to use the dock next door because of the house book left on the coffee table; however, she let us know we could use it later on in our stay. Definitely ask about lake entry if you are unsure. Great location where you feel secluded but close to grocery stores, lots of Dollar Generals, and touristy things to do. We highly recommend checking out Emerald Hollow Mine and the Science Center in Hickory. We had lots of things on our itinerary; however, we found ourselves at the lake more often than not and were happy to relax. Fire pit, propane grill, and huge picture window in the kitchen were very much appreciated. I'd book again!

Very comfortable, clean, relaxing

This house is great and the owners make you feel like home with all of the extra amenities they provide, firewood, bug spray and citronella, shampoo, useful spices, floatation devices and even fishing poles. We also really loved the porch facing the lake. So relaxing and comfortable!

Beautiful Little Home!

We loved this little home on the water. It was clean and well taken care of. The view was amazing and we really enjoyed the hot tub!

Perfect getaway

Even for just a couple days or longer, this location was a dream to stay at. With shopping and eating within reach, this will surely make any vacation or business trip enjoyable. We will return if headed back to the area.

It was so beautiful right there on the lake. We just relaxed and the hot tub was so great too. The property manager answered every question so quickly and was so nice.

Adorable perfect cabin

This quaint little cabin on the water is so perfect. It provides everything you need from the view to all the little necessities. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

We had a great time. The host quickly got back with me what I had a question. Sitting and watching the water was so relaxing, the hot tub was clean and fun. The fire pit was amazing also. The outside dining was nice to have as well. Privacy was a 10/10.

Great getaway!

The View is an adorable cottage right on Lake Hickory. It was exactly as advertised and the hot tub was terrific since we had cool temps and some rain. I imagine staying there in the summer would be just about perfect!

Cozy cottage

Very clean, cute cabin well stocked with all necessary supplies. Breathtaking view of lake. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Owners were very nice, accommodating people.
